The best restaurants in Inverness West Highland Highlands and Islands

Maravilloso y relajante café en la planta baja de The Highland Hospice (junto a Eden Court a lo largo del paseo Ness). Parada para un té y dulce, que era muy bueno! Personal muy amable. Precios muy razonables. Las propinas van a El Hospicio. Sin duda vale la pena una parada en su paseo por el río. Recomiendo.

The property is fantastic but Grace and the rest of the staff are what sets this hotel apart. Other hotels would benefit to learn from the outstanding hospitality provided here. My group can’t wait to visit again!

Stayed there for one night and wished we’d stayed longer! Gent on reception was very attentive and polite on arrival. Dined in restaurant and food was AMAZING!! Staff at dinner were very helpful and friendly. Room was great and spotless. Breakfast and waitress service again, was 10/10! (#hotmilk 😉) On departure we were chatting to same gent as check-in. We mentioned we had family event in afternoon and he kindly offered us use of room, if we wished, to change clothes. We will definitely return.

I cannot recommend the Oakwood Restaurant and the Highland Lassie enough. Calling ahead to make a reservation and preorder the food was a minor struggle for me—doesn't seem like the cellular reception is great there—but it was absolutely worth the small effort. Bring your own wine if you want it, Oakwood has no liquor license. Also of note: you're on a boat, the small dining room has only one table that seats six. Perhaps we should've expected it, but we were surprised to arrive and find that we were sharing the table with two sets of strangers. Don't shy away, lean into this! We all got to chatting and sharing stories of our lives and experiences, and it made the meal so much more memorable, enjoyable, and special than it would've been otherwise. The food is fantastic, I don't think there's a bad item on the menu, everyone exclaimed about how delicious their meals were, we all cleaned our plates and made room for the fantastic desserts as well. If you have dietary restrictions, let them know when you call, Gus & Gaby will find a way to accommodate you with something special. Gus was very attentive during the meal trying to make sure that everyone was happy. If you have an appreciation for boats, especially wooden boats, dining on the Highland Lassie is an extra special experience. My partner grew up on a wooden boat and knows the craft that goes into them and how much work they are to maintain. We got to talking with Gus and Gaby and they revealed the time and effort they personally put in to restoring the boat (formerly a fishing trawler), designing the wooden decks, rails, and cabins, the types of wood used, and Gus very kindly gave us a tour of the boat after dinner to show her off. She is an absolutely stunning lady with an amazing character and history. The rooms are quite nice, too, if you're considering sleeping on board or taking a cruise! Wonderful experience all around, definitely a memory we will treasure and a highlight of our trip to Loch Ness and the Highlands! Mahalo nui Gus and Gaby, from Angela and Forrest! Staff shortage, so food was slow.

Huge portion size. Generous with cheese. Was super happy with our food. Only thing I would have changed if the nachos toppings were layered rather than separated so I get all the toppings on 1 chip.

My partner and I have stayed at the hotel a couple of times and eaten in the restaurant on both occasions. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is divided into a number of rooms which gives more intimate feel and not like you are stuck in the middle of a big hall full of diners. 10/10 we will be back as soon as we are in Inverness again.

Unfortunately when we arrived the restaurant part was closed but was allowed to sit in the bar and have a meal and drinks there.

Mixed starter, Chicken Tikka Chasni & Chicken Tikka Bhuna were all delicious. Perfect fluffy rice too. Delivered in under an hour. Never disappointed, always good quality.

Amazing food, delivery time is on spot. Delivery driver friendly. Have ordered many times and have never had a bad meal. Always excellent.

Without doubt the worst service and food ever!! Total sham of a place, nothing on our plate was edible. Service was unbelievable in a terrible way. Understaffed and managers on the phone instead of helping the servers. Fawlty towers would be more staffed and professional. Please avoid. It's not worth it!!!!! Go the extra mile and travel into the city centre. There is absolutely nothing positive to say about this shambolic place. Please avoid!!! It truly was a breakfast from hell. Money wasted which I hate.

Me he registrado en la posada principal durante 3 noches para averiguar que el beefeater está cerrado para la comida y bebida porque todo el personal ha salido debido a que pronto se abrirá allí propio en casa restaurante Tomillo así que solo hay personal allí por la mañana para cocinar el desayuno ... sin embargo, no hay nada en el sitio web sobre que está cerrado ! ! ! ! Me hubiera gustado reservar en otro hotel si hubiera sabido 🙈🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Me detuve en mi paseo para un café y desayuno. La comida era encantadora, aunque una elección de panecillos blancos o marrones sería preferible. Excelente servicio amable por una señora encantadora. Decepcionado al encontrar que sus cajas no son recicladas o compostables, siente que en esta época siempre tiene que poner su granito de arena por el medio ambiente y reducir los desechos.
