I first discovered Ness Walk Hotel a few years ago on a trip with my husband, and it left such a lasting impression that I knew I had to share the experience with my siblings. There’s something truly remarkable about this place—a seamless blend of luxury and comfort that feels like your own private retreat. The location is ideal. While it’s just a short walk from the heart of Inverness, the hotel feels tucked away in its own serene world. We enjoyed daily strolls along the river into town, but the peaceful atmosphere of Ness Walk always made returning feel like coming home. The property is stunning, with beautifully appointed rooms and thoughtful touches that elevate every aspect of your stay. What truly sets Ness Walk apart, though, is its extraordinary staff. Monica, Helen, Mark, Tracy, and Sue deserve special recognition for creating an environment that goes beyond hospitality—they make you feel like a valued friend rather than just another guest. During both my stays—most recently with my siblings—I’ve been struck by how rare it is to find a hotel that combines such a perfect location with genuinely exceptional service. While the property itself is exquisite, it’s the team at Ness Walk that transforms it into an unforgettable experience.

Could not rate this hotel more highly. Our experience was flawless, and we were blow away by the customer service received. Priced incredibly reasonably too.

I stayed at the hotel from November 1st to November 2nd. This morning, I was having breakfast at the hotel, when I was ordering, an old guy named Dorian, I raised my hand to him, I said: Excuse me, can I order. Then he came to me. He said OK guys, it's not just you, there are many guests, so don't call me. The reason I raised my hand to call him is that I am ready to order. He can come when he is ready. Then I ordered two highland breakfasts, but we only served two fried eggs. I waited for almost 30 minutes until I asked someone, can you check with the kitchen? Then I asked Dorian, he said "I'm sorry." Meaning he didn't order this for you. I am Asian, but I have never been treated like this by anyone. I do think this is racist behavior.

A fantastic hotel nestled in along river Ness. Even though you are right in the city it feels like you’re in the country side. Excellent services in every which way and extraordinary rooms. A must to stay at when visiting Inverness!

Overall acceptable. Overall only a 4 star hotel. The suite was sparsely furnished, not a cozy atmosphere. The children's room smelt (smelled), no wonder when the window is permanently closed. Breakfast OK for Scotland, never rolls or bread, always just cold toast. And as has been mentioned many times, 20 pounds for 12 hours of parking in an empty parking lot is a disgrace. Please include this in the room price so that no one feels ripped off. A LOT of room for improvement in the international 5 star comparison.

The so called “5 star hotel” was the biggest disappointment of our Scotland trip. In our room it was not possible to open the windows, ventilation in the bathroom did not work well so there was a mold smell in whole the room as the AC works only when the room card is in the main switch. Breakfast nice, but service was not the best. Parking for 20£ per day, still water on the room for 2£. SPA and gym 25 minutes away. So all together really disappointing.

This is a beautiful property in Inverness. The gardens, the landscaping, the location, and the walk out balcony are all great. I also like how they have the bathrooms divided into two rooms, similar to the Grand York. The property is also just steps away from the Ness River and footbridges over the water. They also good got a nice relaxing lobby here as well. There are some downsides to this place I need to mention, though. Breakfast here is very limited. It is good, but there is not a lot of options. They have French Toast, Eggs Benedict, and Scrambled Eggs, and that's about it. The buffet is also small and rather limited. Not bad, but again rather limited. Lunch was much better as I had Pesto Gnocci, and I got a shirley temple. Though if you plan to get lunch, you have to sit in a small area with a couch because that's where they serve it. There was also an issue with the staff not restocking towels. I noticed an insufficient supply of towels on the last night before leaving, and after calling for a restock, they prioritized starting a fire pit instead. I'm not sure why that was deemed more important, but I'm not going to get into that. From my experience, I would definitely recommend this hotel, but just be warned that you may run into some issues staying here.

We love this hotel! From the moment you arrive at the gate the staff make you feel very special. Special mention to Mark the concierge and Tracy at reception. They personify 5-star! The room and view were lovely, the bed super comfy, and the heated towel rack just brings it all together into one great stay. The location beside the River Ness and the proximity to the center of Inverness are also a big plus. We will definitely be back. Adventurers from Victoria BC.

First class Hogmanay 4 course meal and ceilidh. Food was delicious including the stovies at the bells. Hopefully it will also happen again this year 2025. Thank you to the management and staff as the three of us had a great night. Would fully recommend.

Right in 'the middle of nowhere' is definitely somewhere to go! Actually a beautiful part of the world - right next to 'The Bridge Across The Atlantic' and with an amazing history - hence the name meaning 'House Of Trousers'! On top of all this - great food and great service too. Can recommend highly.
