Updating my review due to recent changes. This used to be our go to for a take away, however we now avoid due to a change in the quality.
The batter is chewy and bland, the haggis is completely bland. Chips are crunchy and often just small flakes of batter.
I’ve not posted a review in years but I feel compelled to come out of retirement after tonight’s meal. My aging father brought home the warm bag which initially smelled delicious, and I looked forward excitedly to the contents and the flavours which awaited me. Unfortunately what happened next, shocked me to my very core.
To begin with, the chips were triple cooked (evidently reheated multiple times). While this isn’t the end of the world, it’s a slight disappointment after parting with hard earned coin.
After this relatively disappointing start, I prized open the curry, hoping it would turn things around. Unfortunately what can only be described as ambiguous bird entrails greeted me. I’ve never seen or had the displeasure of tasting such vulgar chicken. I genuinely cannot believe how bad the quality of this stuff was. One expects chicken from the Chinese to be slightly rubbery but my Lord this stuff was foul. The only plausible explanation for the texture and flavour of this stuff is that it’s sabre tooth tiger frozen for centuries and repurposed by the Dragon Palace to put in these meals. While this review may elicit a laugh, I simply must stress that it was the most harrowing experience attempting to consume this meal.
I actually feel bad for the staff who work here, they must cringe every time they hand over the bag to the customer, knowing the horrors they’ll experience upon consuming the food. To those who have given this place more than one star, have some respect for yourself, you deserve better.
Foul meal, sauce was decent though.
Dined in yesterday and had probably one of the worst food experiences to date eating in a restaurant.
Ordered the jollof rice with beef and was seated at a table that appeared to have not been wiped down properly. It was a cold night and was really raining outside so was pretty soaked. The restaurant was stone cold with no heaters on to my dismay.
Food arrived promptly but had noticed something off about the rice and quickly realised it was gone off.
I then complained of the smell and the taste as it was sour and clearly gone bad to the host who proceeded to use a spare knife in front of me to taste the foul rice for himself. I was actually quite shocked by this as you can imagine.
After realising I was in fact right he whisked my plate away to come back some minutes later with a fresh plate, and explained that it was a gone off ball of fresh pepper that was added to the rice not the batch itself. I find it very hard to believe anyone can cook with ‘fresh’ ingredients and not notice when they are spoilt and have never experienced anything like this. This second plate was without the spoilt taste , however was completely lacking in any flavour the rice just tasted of salt no seasoning or typical jollof flavour and the beef stew tasted like a gravy you would put on a cheap Sunday roast. Nothing Nigerian or authentic about the food here at all. I honestly would have refused to pay for the main however I had read a review of a woman below who had a another negative experience who was locked inside of the restaurant so paid my bill and have made a mental note to never come back.
They should really close this place down.
Ordered food at 8pm called the shop at 9:20 was told food was on the way, called back at 9:40 telling them it’s been another 20 mins and still not recieved the food. Was told the driver delivered it to the wrong address they were making my order again. Which is 1 hour 40 mins later from ordering. I told them to cancel my order. Shocking service esp when just eat give codes now to tell the driver, I am really disappointed and now cooking at 10pm

The ultimate breakfast was very good and was served quickly. The potato scones though, just really dry I don't think they fry them just seem to heat them, probably a healthy thing, but then you get fried bread. Price was great. Just the tottie scones let it down.

Ordered a meal for my partners birthday, a pizza and a curry with rice and nan bread, the meal was hot, fresh and delicious and they even threw in some free poppadoms and spiced onions, we thoroughly enjoyed! It’s so nice to find a good Indian takeaway nearby finally with nice friendly staff too, thanks so much for some superb food guys! It’s rare to find these days.
