Walkabout in Glasgow City

Was in here last week. Excellent service. In today, service poor especially by a member of staff who may have been stocktaking. She could have alerted the male who was serving in an empty pub that I was there. He couldn't manage a "hello, what can I get you sir." Good manners cost nothing.

This place is great for watching matches or races etc, loads of screens and the staff are lovely

Great for watching multiple football matches at once, whereas a lot pubs just show the main match of the night.

Walkabout es un gran pub para el deporte en vivo. Tiene muchas pantallas y estaban mostrando 4 juegos diferentes a la vez que es clase. El personal y el servicio son increíbles, Aimee y Chris eran amables y acogedores. La comida es buena, así que recomendaría las alitas y hamburguesas. Gran selección de bebidas en el bar también. En general gran ambiente, volveremos pronto.

Visited with some mates to watch the football. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff who were friendly and attentive. The Food and Drinks selection are brilliant, there were many screens for watching live sport. The atmosphere in the venue was great and it was very clean as well. Will definitely be back.

On vacation during March Madness. They had all the games despite the time difference. Great service!

Vibrant sportsbar with great offer on several different local and international beer on tap. The team is great and saved us, showing a football match on request (no other pub in the city was showing this match)

Went here to finish a works day out for a few drinks and wanted to give a special shout out to Alex who looked after us from start to finish, we had a table booked and it was clearly a busy evening where other customers had sat on reserved tables but Alex remained cool calm and collected to make sure we had our table and even came round a few times to make sure everything was ok for our group.

Soul less. As visitors from Aus we thought we would go have a look see. The parmi was the size of a chicken nugget. Portions were on the small side. Would recommend anywhere else.

Booked a table for 10 on a Friday. It was busy. Manager couldn’t point us to our table told us to ask at the bar, waited 20 mins to get pointed to our table. The bar is clearly over run for the minimal staff on. Our table taken by people we had to ask to move, could only fit 5-6 people at the table. Had to play musical chairs and move furniture. Food not much to write about. I guess the price matches what you get. The vegan burger ordered by a party member was diabolical. Looked dry and desolate, needs something green and a sauce on it. The toilets has zionism graffiti over the walls, disgusting. Tried to order some Aussie beers on the app. None there. I work in hospitality and could see straight off the bat the place isn’t staffed enough and everyone is trying to keep their heads above water during busy spells. I won’t be back. Owners need to properly staff this place and the manager needs to be on the ball to point people putting money down on bookings to their tables instead of panning them off on bar staff who are already dealing with a long bar 5 heads deep.

As an Australian, I am puzzled to understand why this place depicting itself as an Australian bar, has no Australian beers on tap or in bottles. Sorry, Fosters doesn't count. hehehe Oh well, you cheered me up with mid-week drink specials. 2.50 Tennents, can't go wrong. :3

Good bar for watching sports. Great stadium type seating and lots of screens. Only downside is how cold it was, had to keep my coat on as I could see a few other were. Food service is fast and good basic sports bar food.

The food is good, service is terrible, the staff are either not there or chatting with there friends. Again a staff issue, only tit picking, could change up the music from time to time, not what the staff like.

Food ok but was nearly cold when recieved. One of party just ordered fries and had to wait 50 mins to get them after asking 3 times of staff. Very poor service

I am normally quite a regular here with my work colleagues seeing as we also work in hospitality and have always had a great experience here! I happened to come in on a random afternoon with my partner before going to the cinema around the corner. Upon arrival I went up to the bar to order a beer and a Redbull to which I was not asked for ID from the member of staff, nor was there anyone on the door to ask us for ID when we arrived - just for reference. We sat for an hour with no issues, and then when I went up to order food and a second beer the woman on the bar had asked for my ID. I provided it and then she asked if my partner had any - now he did not and I did argue saying that my partner was 29 but he just didn’t have ID to which we were then refused service and rather rudely told that ‘technically’ we should leave the establishment as it’s an 18+ bar. Obviously we left but it’s such a shame that the woman who was on the bar felt the need to be rude and dismissive. I understand the rules however if you’re going to enforce them it should be consistently and not just when staff members pick and choose… It’s just such a shame because my work colleagues regularly use this place as a pre-night out drinking spot…we’ve rarely ever had any issues before.

Food was amazing, drinks very reasonably priced, we had the boozy brunch. Very good value.

Wouldn't let our (sober) friend in, apparently doors were closed. This was at 22:30 on a Saturday night when it was open to 1 am. It was half empty then, not sure what their business plan is.

Popped in for food before a show with my elderly mother and 16 year old son to be refused entry as my son wasn't 18 for food!!! I have never heard the likes of it in my life! Who needs to be 18 for food! No wonder the place was empty. Jobs worth on the door!

Tables have a slant in them that no one will tell you about, lost a whole pint over my cock and balls, first spill was laugh, second spill my night was ruined, manager had the cheek to charge me for a whole drink because of their faulty hardware, the atmosphere stunk as well so would not recommend

The loos were in a disgusting state and when l was at a unreserved table with other tables around the woman just put a reserve sign on my table as if to say that you have to move soon , the place has gone down hill since COVID times

Came to walkabout tonight for the celtic game, the staff were so helpful and cleared us a table in no time and managed to seat us even without a booking on a really busy night! Ordered some sharing plates of food and definitely werent left hungry or disappointed! Staff couldn’t have done enough for us despite being really busy, will definitely be back for big sport nights!

35 minutes of waiting at the bar to have an order taken. Not even acknowledged. Busy but plenty staff available. Just terribly managed. Will never be back. Edit: I phoned the number in the reply from Walkabout immediately after it was posted and the call wasn't answered. Maybe if I waited 35 minutes while it rang, who knows.

Was in tonight and served by Alex and Georgia! Amazing service and recommended drinks for myself and my partner to try. The two of them helped make our night extra special! They are 100% a credit to the team and I will be recommending to all of my friends and family as well as my partners to come here for a night out or something to eat! The two of them definitely deserve a pay rise and played a massive part in our brilliant night out!

Wings were good, but considering all the different sauces on offer there was very little actually on the wings, still tasty though.

Good setting, lots of TVs with sport, huge big screen with football on. Toilets clean and could still hear commentary even in loo. Drinks good though ran out of Guinness. Downsides, lots of dirty tables. Chose the least dirty one to sit down at. Hours later, still no one came to clear up...out of interest looked at the time on the receipt that went alongside the dirty dishes on the table. It was 3 hours ago they ordered and their dishes were still on the table. Some of the food we ordered was cold, could see dirty bits from presumably dirty oil, some food was really good. Staff seemed friendly and chatty. Probably just need a bit more direction and guidance from management re paying more attention to the floor and consistency with food. Won't deter us from trying again.

We frequent here regularly and through time had mixed bag of off nights and decent. Service is there worst quality as regularly slow and even once found self waiting 40mins once at bar for service but last night caught me more as I know fortnight ago I got 2 pints of tennetts (may have been a Friday) for £5 (Great value), I typically drink Peroni or Moretti but last night ordered a Tennetts again and Rekordelig Strawberry and Lime and charge was £11.90 which is around what was already paying for my preferred choice so not sure if staff sometimes just overcharge at their preference (this I suspected once or twice before but it is ideal located for cinema). Just last night seemed excessively overcharged.

Was perfrct to nip into for 1 before seeing a show at the Pavilion which is litrally just accros the road. Saw some food coming out and it looked good. Tables were lovely and clean, atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We went around 6pm so it wasn't too busy which suited us fine

Shocking service waited 45minutes had to ask staff where food was once prompted recieved soggy burger with some sort of meat on burger wasn't advertised 😕 quite clearly been made previously and left to sit went to complain to see staff and management sitting on the bar having a wee free for all...decided not to approach as I was livid..... this place was dead yet these guys couldn't stack a burger and serve it....service is absolutely diabolical in this place honestly just go for a mcds or a spoons so disappointed won't be back 👎👎

Lots of TVs reasonable sports bar, but most TVs have no sound. No servers to take orders. They bring you the food, but nothing else. Everything is ordered from the bar.

One of the slowest service I have ever experienced. I work in a bar myself and try to be as mindful as possible as I know how much it sucks to get ass customers. But this is shocking it is clear that some staff are not properly trained, walk at speed of a snail, like girl I get you don't wanna be here but please, shout out to Sophie the girl who served me, glasses, black hair, slow.

Popped into walkabout with my friends the other day had a lovely time very cool atmosphere also Jayne was lovely a total asset to the team will be back!!

Had a night out with my friends recently and it was fantastic. Drinks were cheap and the staff were fantastic especially Eidilh!! Definitely will be back.
