Marble Global Buffet in Glasgow City

Good food spoiled by rude staff. We have dined in this buffet restaurant on numerous occasions and really enjoy it but on my latest visit and introducing my two cousins to it the two Asian male members of staff were very rude. They came to our table and told us we were over our time and gave us the bill without us asking for it. Anytime we've been in beforehand Thomas has looked after us but he must have been on his day off. We were discusted with the attitude of these men. It was 3pm and still people in there but not enough for them to be needing the table. We didn't get to finish our drinks and for the first time never left a tip

On the face if it this is a nice looking restaurant but it's just buffet in a basement. It's horribly overpriced and it feels like the staff can barely stand you. If you want to be ripped off - £50 - for a buffet for 2 in Glasgow this is your place.

Eaten here several times. Mid range pricing. Very good range of food choices and drinks. Chinese, Indian, Sushi, Italian are the international choices with a wide choice of desserts. Personally I really like their lamb curry and hot and sour soup. Will happily return. One drawback is going back up the steep entrance stairs after filling up with lunch!

I took my 14 yr old daughter the other week, she had been asking a few times to try it, and we kept forgetting. Absolutely amazing choice of food, I didn't even try more than 25% and I didn't eat dishes that I would normally get from a Chinese or Indian restaurant so that I could broaden my horizons. The venue was very clean, and bright which is always a good thing straight away, it was busy, but it was a Thursday evening about 6.30pm so as expected but not overly busy that you couldn't get around the serving area without any issues. Straight away as soon as we walked in the door, the young lady on the front desk was polite, engaging and very helpful. The table staff also very lovely as well. The choice was amazing and I don't think I have tried so many different bits of Sushi. Only downside that I would have liked to have seen is, I couldn't see any Saki on the drinks menu, from a personal point of view, I would have liked to have tried some Saki along with my Sushi. However I didn't ask the waiter if they had it and took the drinks menu as the only option. I didn't want to leave, and my wee girl absolutely loved her experience also. Drinks are reasonable priced for a city centre venue, the bottomless soft drinks help when you take young kids in. The draft lager was a really nice pint and its unusual both food and drinks taste as good. Hint- leave room for the choice of deserts and/or cocktails, I am not normally fussed about deserts, but I wish I could have tried more. I will be back, and trying to fit in dates that I can even if it is a solo lunch time visit. One final point- prices are on a rolling scale, so Friday and Saturday evening are slightly more expensive than the Wednesday or Thursday evening as you would expect. Value is still there if you do go at the weekends mind you.

Enjoyed the food but the fact I had to pay full price for a child who is only 12 was absolutely shocking they don't go on age but height and we won't be visiting here again

On my visit to the Marble Global Buffet, I tried something from every section of the buffet and enjoyed nearly all of it. The sushi especially was very good, a highlight of my dinner, and the various desserts were excellent. I tried the carrot cake, had some fruit, and a little cube of strawberry cheesecake. Everything was clearly freshly made, and cooked well. The place was also very clean and the staff very attentive, with my used plates being removed extremely promptly. It was also very easy to pay at the end.

Well where do I start, have wanted to visit the place for a while. Unfortunately I did not read the recent reviews or I would have gone elsewhere. Firstly the hostess took us to a table pointed and left we sat waiting and waiting. No staff around. I got up to find someone and she appeared again I said hi so how does this im work ie I’m wanting a drink she looked at me and murmured wait for a flirt server. I said well where are they? She just walked off! Eventually I found someone got my drinks and went to look at the Buffett. I was pretty disappointed in there Chinese selection. . The soup bowl is tiny. I tried a few things but even as it got busier the staff that arrived were so bored and moody honestly would never return. Save your money and if you really want a Chinese buffet experience try Beijing Banquet in Renfrew. That’s a buffet! P.s. I hate rude customer service.

Have to say this is the best buffet I have ever been too. Every food you can think of, the seafood was excellent and I had a few plates of them. I like to try all of the foods in small amounts so no to waste the food

Awful customer service. Never seen so many unhappy staff members and they certainly passed their mood on. We arrived at 3.15 and were told by reception staff, person leading us to seat that they stopped serving food at 4.15. So that should have given us an hour which should have been plenty time. At 20 to 4 a member of staff approached table to tell us there would be no food available from 4pm. We tried to get several options and trays were empty or dried up. They harassed us and glared as they walked past as we were still sitting finishing food at 4pm . Then the card machine was brought to us and guy holding hand out for payment! No discussion. Rude, miserable staff and food not up to standard if even available. Avoid at all costs , the city is full of great restaurants with friendly staff.. I’ll certainly not be returning to this place

I am writing this post as a warning to all potential diners to steer clear of Marble World Buffett. My recent experience at this establishment was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share it with the public in the hopes of preventing others from enduring the same unpleasantness. Upon visiting Marble World Buffett, I was shocked to discover that there was chicken in the apple pie that I ordered. When I brought this distressing issue to the attention of the waiter, they promptly removed the offending piece of chicken from my plate and then disappeared without addressing the situation further. Incredibly dissatisfied with this lack of response, I requested to speak with the manager. To my dismay, the manager not only displayed a complete denial of the problem but also exhibited an appalling level of rudeness and unprofessionalism. Instead of offering a sincere apology or attempting to rectify the situation, the manager became defensive and dismissive, ultimately leaving me feeling disrespected and unheard as a customer. The sheer disregard for basic food safety and customer service exhibited by the staff at Marble World Buffett is utterly unacceptable. As a result, I strongly urge everyone to avoid dining at this establishment. The blatant negligence and disrespectful behavior that I encountered during my visit are indicative of a deeply troubling lack of professionalism and care for patrons' well-being. The manager said that he had removed the apple pie and when leaving it was still there . In conclusion, Marble World Buffett's deplorable mishandling of my complaint, coupled with their failure to uphold even the most fundamental standards of service, has left me utterly dismayed. I implore all prospective diners to exercise caution and seek dining experiences elsewhere, as this establishment has proven itself unworthy of patronage.

I went here on 29th dec with my 5 grand kids 3 kids who are 10 yrs old an 8 Yr old and a 12 Yr old I agreed at the beginning that the 12 Yr old was tall and I would pay full price he agreed my bill was £111.89 he charged me for 5 adults and 1 child they absolute waste of time phoning to complain can't speak English I won't be back I'm there at least 3 times in a month all ways with kids or other family members I never noticed the amount till I got home won't ever be back...

Food was lovely but the whole experience was just horrible and non of us will be back. I had booked a table weeks ago as I knew how busy Glasgow would be the week before Christmas. 4 adults and 2 kids. Upon arrival I was asked if I had booked a table I confirmed I had and confirmed my name. The manager Ryan told me he didn’t have my booking. I produced my email confirmation which was signed from him. He then started shouting I need your name I had repeatedly told him my name. I am assuming at this point he was embarrassed he had messed up and was trying to deflect. A lovely young waitress said to come with her and she would seat us. As we walked to the table Ryan started shouting at my husband and accused him of being racist. It was genuinely the most bizarre situation I have ever found myself in. My young son at this point was getting upset. We managed to get away from Ryan and join our friends who had been seated. At this point they wanted to leave as did we however with 2 hungry kids we decided to stay. Food was top notch however won’t be back and after reading the reviews on here I can see a lot of people have experienced the same. Shame as it could be amazing.

Attended for dinner walked out as hair in food staff member behind counter insisted in following me and my husband down the street shouting at us and grabbing / abusing us both which was very traumtic experience police Arrived to deal with situation in the street!
