The food isn’t great but the place is superb. If you want to meet people from across the world and dance or sit next to a dance floor while listening to an international selection of music, this is the place to be.

Horrible, I really wanted to eat FEIJOADA, I immediately ordered 2 lunch boxes, 2 BOXES appeared 📦 📦, and the food arrived all mixed up in these boxes, it looked like LEFTOVER FOOD IN A CARDBOARD BOX. Not even my dog ​​eats food like this the way it arrived for a HUMAN BEING. My rating is: DISORDER

Accommodated us as a large group at short notice. Service was really efficient, staff friendly, and nothing too much trouble. I really enjoyed my seafood dish and the cocktails looked amazing!

The team was excellent last Monday, especially Marcita, who was incredibly sweet and efficient in arranging our tables and orders, even though we were a large group that day.

This venue is excellent both day and night. Food is lovely, and I have never felt rushed while here. Evening are busy with lovely cocktails and brilliant drink selection. Mixture of live music and DJ sets

Atmosphere was quiet as it was a Monday tea time.

Brazilian food of very good quality, we loved it. There were several vegetarian starters, we missed a main dish. Very good atmosphere. The restaurant closes kitchen at 10:00 p.m., then it is a bar. There was live music, very nice!

Seated strigj away walk in, drink ordered were taken straight away and served strigh away. They had a salsa class on inside the restaurant which never onterfeard, it wasn't over busy but comfortable. We ordered our food there was a bit of a wait on our food. Food was all very nice good steak we ordered the sharer plate for 2 the steaks were plenty but the sides were pathetic, 1 little dish of beans for 2 of us and 1 tiny dish of sauce for 2 of us and we ordered cassava and again not enough for 2 people and the price was well over priced at £55 but it's to late once you've ordered and it's served. I know it sounds stupid but steak knifes were no good for cutting steak they butticherwd the mean which was tough that's a personal thing thou. Was a slight disappointment for a day out in Glasgow and overpriced but it wasn't bad food just could have been more of the little things like sauce and beans.

This place is beautiful,the staff is friendly and food taste lovely. While I won't agree it's authentic Brazilian food,it does come close and taste lovely.

Ya que he viajado a Brasil muchas veces e incluso he vivido allí una vez durante un par de meses, no esperaba nada increíble. En primer lugar, el interior es agradable y luminoso - muy brasileño. Pensé en comprar la moqueca o feijoada, pero he tenido esas toneladas de veces allí, así que fui con el estilo salvadoreño Prato Baiano Xin Xin de Galinha, ya que solo estuve allí una vez durante aproximadamente una semana. Desafortunadamente era bastante soso y carente del sabor sabroso y picante que recuerdo de hace aproximadamente 2 décadas cuando lo probé allí por primera vez. Además, me parece interesante que la marca de cerveza era "Favela", que es bastante escalofriante, ya que las favelas son generalmente barrios pobres sin policía donde los más pobres de la vida pobre y la violencia armada es bastante estándar en el día a día, también conocido como no divertido.

Place is good and well designed, but there are not real Brazilian food. I ordered Vaca atolada and they mixed ribs with other kind of meat. And picanha is not even top quality of rump steak. They don’t even speaks portuguese. Although is clean and friendly stuff. My rate is neutral 😐

The restaurant is good, large, and well-decorated. Ordering was quick, and the service was good. The staff are friendly, but it took a while for the food to arrive. The food was very tasty; I had the feijoada and coxinhas. The prices are a bit high for what you get, but overall, I recommend this restaurant.

Had a really great meal here yesterday using the tapas and cocktail deal available on their booking system. Amazing variety of tapas and thoroughly enjoyed all of them - great value for money. I've also eaten mains here before which were lovely! The atmosphere is cool and staff are friendly. Will definitely be back soon

I have been in here a few times as the Cocktails are really nice, with the June Bug being the best of the lot. I havent tried any food as of yet but it always looks really nice. The table service can be a little slow at times but it's not an excessive wait at all. I was in on Saturday, just my wife and i but we really enjoyed the live entertainment on offer. The band were doing there thing and the woman singing was amazing in her Rio carnival style outfit. We enjoyed it even more so as it didn't feel like you were in Glasgow you could pretend you were away somewhere for the few hours we spent in Boteco. I will be back as it is a go to when we have a night out in Glasgow and i intend on trying the food next time also.

Part of the best atmosphere ever, the food in this place it's just amazing. Seafood dishes are simply outstanding! Today I had the best burger in my life- everything fresh and home made, including bun. Compare to other restaurants it's not expensive at all. Just a place worth to go. Always 5 stars from me.

We came here while passing by for some food in the evening and were pretty disappointed. I have a gluten intolerance, and there were only two mains I could have on the printed menu - but on the website more options are advertised as gluten free via an icon, such as the feijoada. So it was all a bit confusing and I really wanted the feijoada, but when I asked our server she just referred me to the menu and didn't seem to know anything about it. The lack of knowledge and options is surprising as Brazilian cuisine is generally pretty good for gluten free options. I had the prato baiano which had small cubed bits of gristly chicken in it, and my partner had a burger that wasn't particularly good. The atmosphere wasn't great as some band was setting up the whole time we were there, so no music or atmosphere. We wouldn't come back.

We are Brazilians and we were dying to eat Brazilian food, and we found this bar. It was wonderful!!! The best meal we ate during our trip here in the UK. The picanha is extremely tender and delicious. The dish serves 2 adults well. I highly recommend it!! The music in the place is a little loud, but the food is very good.

Lots of people sitting outside so decided to give it a try. Wish we hadn’t bothered. Three of us had the steak dish. Very cheap cuts of meat, all three were tough and all cooked to different tastes. The staff didn’t pay us much attention either. Sorry won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend it. The whole place is a bit tired and no atmosphere

Visited on the 1st anniversary of our first date. Thoroughly enjoyed last year but sadly can’t say the same this year. Placed in a small corner facing a wall. Only one bottle of red wine on the menu and it was awful. Had to ask for glasses chicken meal was full of fat and tasted of fish. Only positive of the night was a chat with the Spanish waitress in Spanish who I had a lovely conversation with last time around. She is a credit.

Love nights out in Boteco, always a great atmosphere at night, best place in city centre for a dance 💃🏼, music is my favourite. The staff are lovely. Food is 10/10. If you are looking for that Latin atmosphere or just a great place to socialise and dance definitely come here. Unfortunately my mobile was stolen on Saturday night, but Marcita was brilliant and helped to very quickly get back my mobile cannot thank her enough!!! She was very sweet and helpful thanks again Marcita 🫶🏼

Everyhting was lovely to be honest. The servers we had were absolute sweethearts and super helpful. The food was nice, the feijoada could have a bit more flavour (salt/pepper/more spices or herbs), to be exactly like the brazilian one though. As a portuguese, we're used to good brazilian and portuguese food (which has many similarities), so we usually expect more flavour and love our food salty! The salgados (salty pastries) were lovely though (rissois, coxinha, and pao de queijo). Good job. The lulas (calamari) lacked flavour, shame because the seasoning was great. The brigadeiros were lovely, good job. The cocktails were perfect, great Caipirinha, definitely bringing my brazilian and portuguese family and friends there next time ;). Overall, great experience, would come back.

I should have given this place a 5 star but the black bouncer was terrible it seems like he hate seen his fellow black man in that place he was very terrible I think he needs more education on how to be a good bouncer for a place like that but apart from that Botega is always a good place to be

Avoid the "caipirinha and 3 tapas" deal at all costs. First, the caipirinha wasn't the real deal. The cachaça had been swapped out for vodka. I know my caipirinha from my caipiroska. Of the 6 tapas we chose between us, one was passable. I wouldn't touch the chicken or calamari/squid - the appearance said it all. Staff are friendly enough, no complaints there. Finally, the waitress who brought over the bill at the end (not our waitress) asked us three times to leave a review here - so I've obliged.

Food was disappointing, the venue wasn't very clean. Although the waiters were nice and friendly, there were only two of them. They kept messing up our orders and the bill multiple times. I will go somewhere else next time.

Food from the north of Brazil, partly revisited and very tasty. The staff are very friendly and everyone is friendly and quick, it's a great choice for a cocktail or a meal if you're in the center of Glasgow!

We arrived at 1900 - we still hadn’t been served any food (not even bread and nibbles) by 2020 - and were told our food would possibly be ready in a further 10-15 minutes. We pointed out how abysmal the service and restaurant was - and left for a really excellent meal at Gaucho’s in Glasgow - which luckily had a free table on Valentines night. The man on the table next to us in this awful restaurant sent his steak back twice as it was inedible! A woman told us she had been waiting with her partner for longer than us for food… way to ruin Valentine’s night for all! Do NOT go here EVER!!!!!!!!

We were able to book a table easily esp for a busy weekend night which is good. The staff were welcoming; they made a table ready for us relatively quickly, the meal was prepared to perfect temperature and didn’t take too long to come out. One thing I wasn’t overly keen on was the music being too loud; the volume was more akin to a nightclub instead of a restaurant, making us shout at the top our voices just to have a conversation over dinner.

Wonderful food, really felt authentic as several portugese speakers chatting away. Loved the food especially when they explained how best to eat the feijoada that I ordered. Will definitely go back.
