The Ferry in Glasgow City

I have been to the ferry many times , I was there last week to see Status No who I thought were brilliant and Derek with the plastic air guitar never missed a beat , he was brilliant too ,I would like to point out that the Manager , Doorman, and staff are always very helpful but last week the Manager and Doorman went over and above to help , I would like to thank them very much,

Our 1st time at a gig at The Ferry, it was a great venue, with great facilities & the staff were very helpful, we had a fab time. Deeper Purple were fantastic as always & we look forward to seeing them again. Will definitely be back. We didn't know you could book a meal there, so will do that next time.

Terrible venue for customer service,was there to see Shuffles a 70s band as our friend is the drummer in it,we had a sit down 2 course meal at our table,but they charge extra for a Sunday Roast Beef dinner,we got in just after 1.30 pm, it was just opening up,and my husband with a couple of others ordered the steak pie,only to be told they didnt have any pastry in for the pie,but the waitress said he could have Roast Beef,which he said fine,she duly came back with stew anyway,with a Yorkshire Pudding to replace the pastry,correct me if im wrong,but they should have had all the ingredients already in,considering we were the first load of customers in,the time we got the bill in,they had charged my husband and a couple of others who had ordered the steak pie extra even though they hadnt ordered the roast beef dinner,they were very adamant we had to pay the extra,but we didnt,because we told them straight we hadnt ordered Roast Beef,there was 2 friends who did order Roast Beef dinner,they paid extra,but 3 others hadnt,no apology they were in the wrong,one of my friends who happened to enjoy her Roast Beef,asked if she could take the rest home she had not eaten,the waitress said no,she had already paid for her meal,any other establishment would be quite happy to put the food in containers,any other food establishment would be quite happy to do that,infact ive done it myself asked to take the rest of my meal home,and the staff were happy to comply,considering they were going to bin it anyway,absolutely shocking,and then they put a discretionary 10 percent charge on the bill,we werent daft enough to pay it,they got enough money out of us at the bar,with the well overpriced drinks,Would not go back there the place is a rip off,when I can see any of these bands in local pubs and cheaper drink,we just felt rushed at the meal,not recommended

A great wee live music venue, just seen the scottish pink floyd, an amazing band, gents toilets are good, staff are great, 👍

Cheap and cheerful dinner & show tickets. Good food, great support act. Really disappointed with W2 playlist but they were still good. They only thing is, the downstairs bar doesn't open until 8.30pm but you want to go down and get a seat. We were made to sit back down at the table you had dinner to get a drink as it's only table service upstairs (which was slow service) couldn't get a drink at the bar, then you had to carry them down quite steep stairs. Drinks not that cheap either. But great wee venue.

Fui a ver el acto de homenaje a Simply Rod Stewart. Comí de antemano. La comida era genial. El acto de homenaje fue brillante. Buen servicio, lugar fantástico. Limpio y bien cuidado. Sin duda volvería y lo recomendaría a otros.

Had a great afternoon at the ferry, great food, fab service, and fantastic music from Hot Love - whats not to love. Fantastic value alround. Not the first time we have been and definitely won't be the last. Special thanks to Nerea for her first class service.

Meal was excellent staff very good and helpful will book an event here again.

Food was good but needed more seasoning a bit bland for my liking playing it safe x our waitresse Michelle was lovely and explained everything we needed to know x band hasn't been on yet so hopefully they will be good to x

This is a great venue for music lovers. Sitting on the river Clyde and nicely converted this is a unique venue providing a large variety of music on a very regular basis. The entrance fee is very reasonable and sound quality is superb. Definitely recommend checking out the venue for a fun night

First time there. Had a fab night with company of great friends. Meal was lovely and service fantastic. Show was very entertaining also..Already booked to go back in july

60s & 70s party music nite, great venue, drinks wee bit pricey but considering city location it was ok. Bands were good & played some favourite songs 🎵 so yeah good nite out.

The staff are very friendly and professional especially when called upon to deal with emergency situations.

Visited the Ferry as a show was on so decided to spent the night in Glasgow. we opted for the food package(wish we hadn't) Well first off the place was freezing had to sit with our coats on, as did everyone else. I chose the pork loin but was covered in fat and pink so I sent it back there was nothing else on the menu I wanted to try as my partner's food was also not the best. Drinks are very expensive, tables are also too close together. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

Meal was 10 out of 10 ,drinks were very expensive, a long wait from eating our meal to getting entertainment on ,we were seated down the bottom close to the stage and were cold the whole night

Itison deal for Night of Lionel Ritchie & Motown classics and dinner for two . We really enjoyed the night . Staff were very friendly and efficient . Meal was tasty and the tribute act was great . Sad to have to leave early to catch the train .

Nerea was an amazing server who really looked after us! We were here for a special birthday and all needs were catered to, thank you so much!

A really fun night! Went to the Madonna & Whitney Tribute. Music was excellent, food was tasty and staff were fantastic!

Came from Northern Ireland for friends birthday celebrations, and was not disappointed. The food was beautiful and staff were amazing, very friendly and attentive, everyone went above and beyond. Didn't get everyone's names but Michelle was fantastic, really helpful and great craic! 100% on the customer service. Can't wait for the show. Definitely recommend 👌 👍 x

We attended the ABBA night, considering it was just after Christmas is was fairly busy. Staff ok but could have more of a personality. Drinks not cheap! The ABBA tribute was good, worth the visit.

Had our Christmas night out here , 7/12. Had a brilliant night. Great food and the beers were excellent. Well worth a visit.

Food was ok , nothing special. Our waitress naria i think her name was was lovely.. supervisor was very standofish and rude needs trained in customer service and needs to learn how to smile. Do not know his name but had dyed blonde hair. Tribute act started very late. Nite was on till 1pm but was just about empty by 11.30pm .says it all.

We visited on Sat 2nd Nov. A birthday party of 10. Venue is a short 10 minute walk from Central Station. We were told to be there at 6.30pm. We were shown to our table by a lovely hostess. Our meal and drinks order was taken quickly. Food and service was very good. No complaints there. The entertainment was extremely slow to get started. Around 8.30 we were entertained with two 15min sets from female members of the band singing their own music, then they took a 15 minute break !!! By the time the main act came on it was nearer 9.15pm. They sang maybe 5 numbers, two which seemed to be elongated tracks then took another break. We all had to leave then to ensure we got the last train home. I therefore agree with a previous review that the acts are not coming on early enough in the evening.

Cold night in Glasgow but a warm welcome inside. Friendly waiter Callum promptly served us. Food was great (2 courses) and included with gig ticket! Drinks extra obviously 😂 now sitting waiting on Hotel Caledonia (Eagles tribute) to start. What a great way to spend a cold night in Glasgow ❤️

Tribute band and dinner deal - you get what you pay for. 2 course meal was mediocre, would rather have paid a bit more for a better meal. £13 for band only or £30 band + dinner. Service was good, very attentive staff, Callum was excellent on his first shift. That said everything else was good, drinks on par with prices in Glasgow, and the band Elobeatlesbeyond were excellent. Would return for bands good venue

Good venue but cold when eating in the restaurant.I was asked to open my bag before I entered in case I was hiding what??? Food and wine ( not rose as we had to send it back as I believe it had turned to vinger)now the drinks there's where it becomes cloudy as a few of the drinks we ordered were definitely not what it said on the bottle so this is where it lets itself down . We actually got the drinks without ice to double check .....!!!?and yes definitely doctored. Maybe weights and measurements are due a wee visit ,sorry guys but if the price is high the quality should be the same . Now the bands ,we had booked to see a tribute to Slade who cancelled at short notice but Hit Love did not disappoint they were fabulous which made up for the cold and jaggy drinks .

Great night last night, lovely 2 course meal (although so many people were saying they miss the steak pie, me included, please bring it back) The entertainment was amazing, really had the place jumping, Hot Love 70s tribute and the support act were really good. Our waitress Michelle was really attentive, she really made our night, thanks everyone, they are all so attentive

Went to see a tribute band, only gripeis . If going for the meal, you're not allowed in before 6 pm. i rocked up 30 minutes early and turned away. The meal was plain and simple but tasty. Our waitress Chloe was a nice polite young lady, very attentive, nothing a bother. It's not the best venue for sound, but ok.

Was asked to be there for 6.30 pm to be told to stand in the cold as they were not ready not happy also rod tribute did not start till later ,we had to leave early to catch the last train .get your act together Waste of money to be fair

Great company, good food, fabulous band, 'Very Santana'. Staff were exceptionally helpful getting in and out with my mobility scooter. Menu was good, as you don't have a lot of time to eat and chat before the band comes on. Chicken wings, excellent as was the sausage and mash with onion gravy😊 My only complaint would be that there isn't any parking for abled or disabled folk to park. You have to use a multi storey across the road, which crosses a bus & taxi lane! I parked beside the bikes, as did a couple of others. Great fun night, would highly recommend.

Fantastic venue and service. Entertainment fantastic also. Michelle served and looked after us with a 5 star service.

Great venue to be close up with band, good to sit upstairs but annoying with large numbers of people talking whilst performance is on.

Not my favourite venue Strange seating and viewing arrangements Restricted views for many. Remote riverside location with absolutely no transport Links. but the masses will accept anything these days.Tonight you emerge into a very foul weather night and quickly get soaked to the skin waiting on taxis that often don't turn up. No buses anywhere near. Difficult place to get home from and anything but comfortable inside. Tonight's concert was the superb Albert Lee knockin' 'em dead sill at 80😱🎸

Came to The Ferry with my Mum for dinner and a show (Albert Lee). Dinner was 2 courses with the option to add a dessert. Not much to choose from but what we had was lovely. Service was excellent, friendly and our server Edgar was very funny. Would highly recommend the experience. Downsides are depending on where you sit upstairs, the hanging speaker can obscure your view and the seats and not very comfortable but that wouldn't put us off coming back again.

Always a brilliant night at The Ferry! The staff are professional and wonderful; always going out of their way to ensure everyone has a great night. The variety of acts offered is amazing, there genuinely is a night for everyone! I always look forward to going to The Ferry

Here for the Albert Lee gig. With meal , food was good only wish there was a little more on the menu . Edgar our server was amazing very attentive and really friendly . Good laugh too 🤣 Love coming to the ferry always great music 🎶

Main acts now start far too late, 10.00pm and doesn't finish until midnight, far too late for train home so you have to leave early. Support acts don't start until around 8.00 - 8.45pm, before which, after a mediocre meal at 6.30pm (if you have it) you have to sit listening for an hour to cheap piped non-original pop or jazz music, not what rock fans want to hear. My wife sent a message about this to the Ferry office but received no reply. Five and a half hours is far too long too hang about standing or sitting on a cheap hard chair, especially when you have to wait three and a half hours to see the band you paid for, then have to leave at least half an hour before the act finishes and its not exactly handy for Central station unlike some other venues. The management think this is a good business model to sell more drink but there are definitely less fans than there used to be (so no atmosphere) plus many leave early. Nobody drinks continually for over five hours anyway, they just nurse their drinks for longer. The cloakroom is also now closed so you now have to hold your jacket all night if you're standing. It's also annoying to know that they they think it's OK to keep you hanging on for so long to spin the time out to supposedly sell more drink. No other gig venues around Glasgow do that, they finish around 10.30 pm and are always packed out, so have a better atmosphere and sell more drink in a shorter timescale (so with less staff costs). Even The Hydro with big acts adopts sensible hours. We used to go a lot to the Ferry but won't be back. Please think again Ferry management before the venue again goes down the pan.

Enjoyed concert here last week...servers all really friendly and helpful....food good and served piping hot...shame you have to ask for staff to access disabled toilets as its a glass walled lift right in the middle of the dining area so too embarrassed to ask and had to carefully navigate the stairs....but it's a good venue apart from that...

I had a fantastic afternoon 1.30 to 7pm in the evening. Me and family went for a soul Divas day the group was amazing. Lovely staff great amenities and a tasty 2course lunch b4 the the music. I would recommend the Ferry to everyone. Great atmosphere withe something happening most days. Food and entertainment was only £20.

Fantastic night, food was good, baked salmon and mascapone sauce delicious. Great party night would have danced more if we had been on the ground floor. Michelle our waitress did a fantastic job very friendly and did a great job keeping up with our fabulous rowdy team 😀

We were with visitors from Australia, originally Renfrew, we are from Yoker, so the Ferry venue was perfect. What a wonderful experience, food and entertainment exceptional. Staff were brilliant and very attentive overall 5 stars and will recommend and be back again.

We had a great night. The staff presented my father’s dessert with a birthday candle and sang for him which made his night. Thank you all especially Mona our waitress
