i love aurs cafe!!! the foods great but the staff are the best about! always so nice and chatty and they know exactly how i like my food to be cooked. their breakfasts are fab but so are the toasties. they also stock a great selection of cakes
We had the chicken tikka and chicken 65 starters, followed by the chicken tikka dosa and lamb punjabi
The food and service was excellent, we just turned up and were lucky we picked a great time to come. We arrived at 6.45pm and by 8.30pm it was full mobbed. Great place and highly recommend!
I found this restaurant through instagram and I had to go and try the Pakora. I was not disappointed.
The restaurant is a short bus ride from the centre of the city.
I dined early in the evening and the restaurant was quite busy. I was quickly seated. The menu was already on the table. With a wide selection of pakora and other dishes from the frier. Some small plates and a good selection of Homestyle curries.
In the end I plumped for the Haggis Pakora. Something I had never tried before and I certainly was not disappointed with my selection. It was delicious. I was tempted for a second plate. For my main dish I plumped for a Lamb bhoona and some Paratha. The meat was well cooked and full of flavour.
It was well worth seeking out this restaurant. I will return again next time I visit Glasgow.
me & my girlfriend got a glass bottle of coke each which cost £3.40.
we booked a table for 5:30pm and were given the à la carte menu & the set menu which was only served until 5:45pm (2 courses for £18.50).
I got the funghi fritti (breaded mushrooms with garlic mayo). I forgot to ask if they were button mushrooms but it turns out they weren’t so they were a bit too big for my liking but that wasn’t the restaurants fault. I enjoyed them but didn’t have enough sauce to finish my last mushroom. My girlfriend got the polpette which she really enjoyed - the sauce was so flavoursome.
I got the penne arrabbiata - was alright but nothing to write home about. My girlfriend got the penne mia casa which she (and I) thoroughly enjoyed. We also got a portion of chips to share which cost an additional £4.95.
Overall, we did enjoy our meal but don’t think we would return.
Sadly Pavement has now closed, thank you for the lovely nights we had in here and happy retirement.
Pavement is reopening as a mexican pub/ restaurant, so I'll update when I've been in.
Came back after having a wonderful experience. Outstanding food and service once more. Ordered a verity and all so delicious and fresh.
Can’t recommend this place more. The vegetables savory pancake, bibimbap Tkeokbokki were the star of the show 🤩🤩
Prices very reasonable too and staff so kind a lovely.
