The BEST place to eat ..its got atmosphere good service & great menu.

The restaurant has a great ambience and the service staff is really friendly. But the food itself is very mediocre and really pricey for the taste. There are way better restaurants with better atmosphere as well.

Great evening at Ka Pao. Great ambience, friendly staff, lovely drinks and excellent food. Brought back lovely memories from our time living in Asia.

Great food and a huge amount of gluten free options. The staff were also very knowledgeable about celiac disease and explained that the gluten food is cooked separately. Had a great time and felt very safe eating here

Excellent lunch - good service, ambience and food.

Recommend by a friend, really impressive food, service and atmosphere. Recommend booking a table as it was full by the time we were leaving at 7.30 on a Friday night. Can recommend trying most things especially the deserts!

The food was phenomenal! An explosion of flavours and aromas which worked for every meal we ordered. All staff members were friendly and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely be back!

This is a hybrid-style Asian restaurant. The food is just fine, and the environment is awesome.

Ka Pao is my happy place. I'm coeliac, and can have pretty much anything on the menu. They're so on the ball with gluten free options! Every dish is a taste sensation - I would eat there every day if I could!

Recommend the sharing platter (min. 4 people). You’ll look at it on paper and think ‘nope’ but the delivery are tastes are first class. Great venue to catch-up with friends.

To be honest, the food is fantastic. ***This place is highly not recommended for foreigners. *** Very bad services toward us. Mocking our accent and even more wouldn’t let us order more food. We even ask to order for takeaway food. They wouldn’t let us order.

The food was excellent and full of flavor. If it says spicy on the menu, then it's pretty spicy. Would definitely go here again. Was expensive but worth the price.

As always a lovely welcoming front of house and kitchen staff with delicious food, my favourites being the fried chicken and corn ribs. Tonight we tried the Ox Tongue and whole sea bream which were cooked perfectly and delicious. My go to place when I crave southeast asia food.

We ate as a group of meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans and there was something for everyone. Good beer and wine selection and some nice non-alcoholic cocktails for those who weren't drinking. We loved all the dishes we had, particularly the sprouts, short rib curry, venison carpaccio, pork and marrow sausage, hispi cabbage and cucumber salad. All delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow, worth the journey away from the city centre.

Lovely spot. Great atmosphere and delicious food. We had the sharing meal for 4 and it was all delicious, with the tongue being one the nicest. The food is spicy but definitely worth a bit of sweat. The staff are great and I would definitely come back again.

Pre-Idles gig grub here - great service and a toasty jungle curry was the perfect warm-up to watch a superb band at the OvO 😍

Probably the best south east asian restaurant in Glasgow. The menu changes regularly and I have never had a bad dish. Really stylish interior as well as a nice bar.

Fantastic food, great flavors and perfect portions priced well

Loved the food... really creative small plates in a low key atmosphere. The Hispi cabbage was incredible.

We got the sharing menu for 4 and it was absolutely like a party in your mouth, so many different plates all with their own unique taste. I loved it and would highly recommend.

Great restaurant, got 5/6 dishes between us, they were all banging 👌corn ribs and oyster mushrooms and chicken in like a sweet and spicy sauce, would defo go back

I had the best time! I loved the atmosphere with dim, warmlights. I enjoyed my cozy seat in one of the booths (my favourite). The food was appealing to the eyes and a constant burst of flavours that worked perfectly together, also with incredibly tender meats - chicken, duck, beef and fish, with perfectly cooked crispy skin. Just brilliant. I will be back. Unfortunately we didn’t have time or room for dessert so I look forward to trying that next time !

Amazing all round and such great veggie options (especially the corn ribs and fried mushrooms)!

Food was excellent. Sweet potato curry was amazing. Some really amazing flavours and ideas. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend the corn ribs and the mango soft serve. Restaurant was quite busy but service wasn't great. On a few occasions we struggled to get soneone to attend to us. Would definitely go back but hope that service would be a bit more attentive.

Last night Ka Pao restaurant - 22 Vinicombe Street, Glasgow fed a group of 26 of us with a tasting menu for £37.50 each. Plus drinks. What amazed me was the way the waiter moved along the group at the end, with a printout of the drinks bill, card reader in hand and change in his pocket. Without any fuss at all, people identified their drinks prices, paid up and he moved on. Quite quickly, he announced we were all paid up, with a tip. The food was fantastic, but the service was just amazing!

Delicious food which our whole family love! Such an interesting range of dishes and good options for vegetarians too. Great service and friendly and attentive waiter made our experience even better!

Great restaurant in all aspects. We have been to Ka Pao and Ox & Finch many times. It was a great experience everytime.

Didn’t live up to the hype unfortunately. Plates were unclean and food very mediocre. Far better green and massaman curries available elsewhere.

All staff were great, the food was very good and served promptly but not all at once, which was fantastic. Going back with friends in a few weeks and really looking forward to it

Visiting Glasgow for dinner with friends First time in this restaurant 😁 Booked the table which we were advised to do as busy on a sat night. Greeted at the door and shown promptly to the table booth for 6 Menu on the table very interesting and loads of choice. We opt for the sharing menu £30+ per person. Very interesting menu full of variety fish veg meat and spices. Loads of different choice textures all playing with your taste buds some very spicy and full of flavour. Try the pork belly very tasty also the corn ribs and cabbage. The server was Judit (Hungarian girl) absolutely top class, she has the banter/rappor with us and new to have a laugh along with keeping the table clean and us topped up with drinks. I personally will be back but as a group we agreed the taster menu price is slight high for such small plates being shared by 5 people. All good though must try when visiting the west end 😉

A unique experience, with interesting mix of flavors. The Arbroath smokie is a must try.

Went here for the first time for my wife’s birthday. Really good restaurant. Food was excellent as were the staff. Attentive and friendly despite the busy nature of the evening. Only minor thing to say is that as someone that doesn’t drink alcohol the single choice of AF beer was a bit disappointing. There were mocktails also, but generally they’re not for me. The single AF beer that is on offer isnt a great one to be honest. 2/3 options that are a bit better tasting would be good. But this is a minor thing. Great place.

Still the best restaurant in Glasgow. A must visit place for Asian food. This is my 17th time to KaPao in the last two years. Every visit, food is always excellent. Service is amazingly good. And atmosphere is perfect for lunch or dinner, couple or group night. I have tried almost everything on their menu. My favourites are smoked miang, beef skewers, crispy chicken, ox tongue and pork belly. This time I tried new ones - prawns with jackfruit, pork neck, Choi sum in sambal sauce and special menu - crispy chicken wings in homemade sriracha sauce. It was very delicious and the service is way beyond excellent. I am always surprised how do they even train the staff, every restaurant should be like this. Every spoon is tasty and really authentic South East Asian taste. But even I find it quite spicy this time , but still.. love it. Every penny worth it and price is very fair £35-40 each including drinks. We walked in through waiting list but got very lucky , got sofa booth that night 😊

Was out with my sisters for dinner we had an outstanding meal one dish was nicer than the other , a fantastic meal it was delicious first class service and compliment's to our servers and chef as everything was perfection will definitely be recommending and visiting again soon . Amazing food, great atmosphere, wonderful service. The corn ribs where something else, and curries were unreal.

Ka Pao exceeded all my expectations! Their yellow curry of coley was a revelation—every bite gave me goosebumps. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dishes were prepared with such finesse. The ambiance and service were equally impressive. Highly recommend for an unforgettable dining experience! Yey for the Michelins! 🥳

Lovely food, we went for the full menu for 4 people with a variety of dishes, it was more than plenty for all 4 of us, some dishes were really spicy. Favs were hake curry, courgette curry, shrimp with coconut. They have kids menu with rice, salad, grilled sweetcorn and a choice of curry, crispy chicken or crispy fish, my daughter enjoyed!

I drove some people up there after they had been to troon for the golf open they said they enjoyed it 🙂.

Ka Pao is a must, every time I visit Glasgow. Had a meal there last night, and it was better than ever! Kudos to the entire team. Will definitely be back!

Staff lovely and very accommodating. I have sound sensory issues and they let us move to a table in a quieter area even though it was a Saturday night. The food was amazing and it comes out in stages which was nice. Only one downfall was that we ordered the oyster mushrooms and they arrived at the same time as the table next to ours did and it looked like they had made two portions at once and the other table got loads of mushrooms and we got a lot of crispy batter pieces without any mushrooms in it which was a bit disappointing. Other than that it was great all round. Will be back

This was an excellent find. Great food, good beer (thornbridge! All this way north???) and a fun atmosphere. We had the vegan corn ribs, crispy pork belly salad, phanaeng curry of confit duck leg, green curry of beef featherblade, stir-fried purple sprouted broccoli and jasmine rice. It was all beautiful seasoned, well cooked and brought as soon as each dish was ready. Very well timed too. An over-all brilliant evening

We had a very nice experience and the food was amazing! The customer service Hannah is very helpful and she picked up the dishes with garlic after she knows we are allergic to it. 10/10 strongly recommended. Hannah deserve a pay rise!

Good Thai inspired place. Starters were trying a little too hard in places, but the mains (curries) we had were both very, very good. Sweetcorn ribs too sweet for me, and I like sweetcorn a lot!!

This is one inspiration here. I eat and cook a lot of vegan Thai food and here I was just amazed. The cauliflower and zucchini curries are really incredibly tasty. Glasgow was definitely worth it

Food in the place is absolutely unreal! Cannot even describe it. I don't like mushrooms but I really enjoyed one of the mushroom dishes we ordered. Can't wait to go back

One of the best places to eat in town. Exciting, vibrant food where vegetarian dishes shine just as brightly. I'm not a vegetarian but often chose meat free options as they are just so good.

What a special place! We ended up here after a neighboring place had no tables available and we were delighted to have the opportunity to experience Ka Pao! Everything we tried was very tasty, but the corn ribs, cauliflower, and cabbage were exceptional.

Fantastic Bib Gourmand restaurant in a hip part of Glasgow! Food was incredible! Service was wonderful. The chef does an excellent job intertwining Asian dishes with the modern world! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation!

Lovely food The concept is to share plates, there are different plate size snacks, started and main Between the two of us we got a main a couple of starters and a starter. The food was really good Child menu food was really good as well

Did my husband and I drive from London to Glasgow to eat this restaurant? BIG YES! AMAZING FOOD! The new dish, Sea Bream is FANTASTIC. Fresh and the dressing reminded us of Thailand. My husband and I been to Thailand multiple times! So eating these food was truly special because it tasted better than what we have eaten in Thailand 🙃❤️ hope the embassy won’t bash us lol. Beef tartare was very special and delicious. Oyster mushrooms was something we were skeptical because of the szechuan peppers. But it turns out pretty amazing! Not heavily seasoned, just perfect. We love it so much. We will come back for this again! Big shout out to Josh our server who have been so kind and helpful to us! 😆💖

Been coming here since it opened - remember having take away from restaurant during one of the interminable lockdowns Glasgow was subject to. Pleased to say it’s still really good. My faves are the whole sea bream and the cauliflower curry. Hopefully they bring back the celeriac curry over winter months as a real hearty dish. Enjoyed the king prawn and jackfruit dish too. Wasn’t drinking alcohol on this visit but the cocktails are normally pretty good, and decent value. So it’s still a great casual spot for tasty food !

We had an excellent experience during our first visit. We managed to book in at short notice, and the booking system was easy to use. The staff were all helpful, friendly, and attentive, explaining everything thoroughly to ensure we felt comfortable. They checked in with us at just the right moments, appearing at our table when needed without us having to ask. The food was incredible – we ordered from the vegan menu, and everything comes out when ready and all dishes were so fresh and tasty, and everything with its own signature taste. I highly recommend visiting, and especially ordering the oyster mushrooms and salted coconut corn ribs, delicious! We look forward to coming back, it’s such a gem of a place and love that it’s open til 12am too. I was momentarily unsure if I was in the right place to wait as the desk was unattended at the time we arrived and no wait to be seated sign to confirm we were. However, once the server noticed us, they greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great food, a lovely venue nicely decorated, and perfect customer service. We were well fed and well looked after. 5/5.

The salt and szechuan pepper oyster mushrooms are a must-have, and the corn ribs are something a bit different. All the sauces were delicious and a nice mix of heat levels as well as plenty of vegetarian/vegan choices. Service was good if a little slower at times when busy but always polite, professional, and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

Best place for food, really warms the heart, cannot recommend enough!

Absolutely amazing food with bold flavours near the botanic gardens in Glasgow. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside but leads to a huge basement with an open kitchen and lots of space. The fried chicken dish was the standout. Would recommend to anyone

This was by far the best dining experience I've ever had. The dishes work like tapas. There are small, medium and large. Everything is super tasty and sometimes really exceptional. The different tastes in your mouth are amazing. The service is really great and everyone is super nice. Great selection of drinks and the cocktails are professionally mixed at the bar. You have to have been here. It's definitely worth the money. It's a bit hidden, you have to go down to the basement, but the atmosphere is really nice. I really enjoyed being here and felt very comfortable.

Absolutely amazing. Tried combinations of flavours I've never had before. Staff were great! Cocktails and mocktails were lovely. Reasonably priced. Our favourite was the Arbroath smokie!
