First time visiting and came highly recommended. Sadly fell a little flat. Whilst the flavour of the food was fab, the quality was not. I ordered the Meaty eggs which is Shakshuka, the eggs were like rubber, the tomatoes were so burnt around the side and the toast had been sitting for a while. The other full breakfast had the best scrambled eggs ever, but the rest of the plate had been sitting for a period of time, the bacon, potato scone etc, were lacking warmth and dried out. Service was average, but the staff were very polite and friendly when we did interact with them. It was incredibly busy however, so perhaps we were just unlucky.

Gone downhill, not worth the money. Toast was burnt, hot chocolate was cold, poached eggs were over cooked and hard inside. Disappointed as it used to be lovely. Used to offer a voucher for parking on street at discount now cost us £10 for 1.5hours! I'll not be back as there's plenty of better brunch places!

Had a reservation for 12:30 we were sat and no one ever came back to our table. We watched them take orders from tables that came after we did. Dissapointing as we sat there for 20+ minutes and they didn't notice that we hadn't been served even as we left.

First time here, and it didn't disappoint! We were 10 mins early and shown straight to our table. The cafe was buzzing. Plenty staff. We ordered meaty eggs and the special posh royale, which was a smoked salmon version of eggs benedict. Both dishes were very good. Tea and a latte were our drinks of choice. There is an excellent choice of cakes, and there are vegan choices. Staff were nice and efficient. I'd say it's pricey for what you get but worth it for the experience and for the nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend you book especially at the weekend or you'll be disappointed!! Dogs are allowed. I'd try the city centre cafe next time just to see if there is any difference. It's definitely a must try!!!

I used to frequent singl-end all the time last year so decided to go for my birthday and I was so disappointed. The portions are half the size they used to be, the food was very mediocre and underwhelming, and the mimosas were tiny. Don’t think I’ll ever be coming back which is such a disappointment as I used to love singl-end and recommend it to all my friends.

The cafe is a chain with multiple locations. It was close by to the hotel we stayed at so we went to get breakfast one morning while we were in town. The small table for two people is uncomfortable and there is not much room for food and drinks. There were 2 floor staff that morning and you have to wave to get their attention if you want to order more drinks or get some condiments for food so not very attentive. The place has a good rating but also a sponsored on google map so it turned out to be a mis for me.

Food was basic and not worth the price. Fresh juice priced at £3.00 and was charged £5.65 for “freshly squeezed orange juice” which was basically transparent and had no pulp? Ordered the “Scooby Snack” - salad was brown and wilted, beans and black pudding had no flavour whatsoever. For dessert I ordered the “Pumpkin Spice Cake” which was dry and bland. Didn’t enjoy the experience overall, overpriced, would not recommend.

Really nice place for brekky or lunch. Food is very good and presented well. I had the 'scooby snack' which is a brioche roll filled with tattie scone, Stornoway black pudding, bacon, poached egg and chilli jam..with a pot of homemade beans and mixed leaves. Was delicious and hit the spot. It was my first time there and I will be back. It was fairly busy and is always busy I've been told, which is a good sign. If yer in the area and hungry, you should definitely visit.

Be warned it is eye wateringly expensive, not so much a quick place to have brunch rather than somewhere you’d take someone for an expensive dinner, boyfriend had something and he offered to pay for mine but I told him absolutely not, not at these prices, I’ve come away feeling like a moody old man complaining about prices of things 😂

Had the meaty breakfast. Food was ok but a bit bland (definite lack of salt during cooking) and lacking. Other meals did look more interesting so it could just be a poor choice. I'd also ordered a lemon and ginger tea that was literally quarter of a lemon and a hunk of ginger root in water which was also bland and didn't diffuse that well, definitely don't order this as you'd be paying the Price of tea for what is essentially just warm water. Atmosphere wise it was busy and ok though definitely trying to be "trendy" rather than warm and welcoming. Service though was terrible. We were a party of 4 and a child on one of the 4 person tables. The waitress seemed offended that we needed more time to look at the menu despite us only just arriving. We weren't offered a dessert and had trouble flagging the waitress down despite trying to order one. Instead the first we saw of her was when she came up to the table about 10 mins after clearing our plates to tell us we had to leave within 15 mins to which we answered we've been trying to order dessert. We were quickly brought it followed by the bill without us asking. When it came to the bill the waitress said she couldn't itemise it only do a 50/50 split l, which she did by using the calculator on her phone so it makes no sense that she couldn't itemise the bill. All in all a disappointing experience and not worth it.

Stunning.....What a treat of a lunch. We were heading to the Kings Theatre and were wondering where to have lunch beforehand. Please count us in at Singl-end Cafe next time we are at the theatre. It's a bit hidden away but truly fab. The staff are on it on it, they were constantly checking everything was okay (but never in an intrusive way - just very professional), when not serving, they were wiping tables, sorting out the bar area. The atmosphere reminded me of great 1980s Glasgow eateries like the CuldeSac in Ashton Lane and Rocks in Queen Street - folks just really knowing what they are doing. The food.....oh wow...so fresh and tasty. My husband had French toast and bacon with maple syrup. He seldom finishes his food - there was nothing left!!! My daughter had the veggie breakfast, she wasn't so sure of the homemade baked beans, and doesn't like mushrooms, but we will know for next time. Unfortunately my daughter is disabled so it can be tricky for her. I had the 'Everything' which was delicious. Our daughter had a delicious empire biscuit for afters. There are daily specials. It really is fantastic, what a great find (what took us so long!) Thank you

We tried the everything (which is what we most recommend as it is super tasty) and a toast with mushrooms that we no longer remember the name of (also very pleasant but with milder flavors). The orange juice did not disappoint. They have a wonderful selection of sweets, we ordered a pistachio cake, which we didn't love but it didn't ruin the experience. We want to go back. We went back again the next day and stayed in the biggest room, which we considered too noisy. The huevos rancheros were great and the everything sandwich was equally good. Kate ruined the experience. I went for the first time to Singl-End in Garnethill. Initially, we booked for 12:30pm but ended up cancelling and re-booking as I wasn’t going to make it to the first one. Upon arrival, Kate was being nice and serving customers before us. And our turn came, she became so condescending and immediately started saying we are late and we cannot come back until much later. She was unprofessional and unaware that we had a 2nd booking for later. I was shocked at the customer service level. Snarky and rude. I went out to get the rest of my family and came back in only to speak to Paul, which was really nice, he spoke to us with manners and valued us as customers. We left and came back to our 2nd booking and sat outside. And due to unprecedented events, it started raining. I asked my brother to go inside and ask to see if it’s possible to sit inside. And for his bad luck, it was Kate that spoke to him. She told him that if he wants indoor sitting he’ll have to wait 1.5-2hrs and made him feel so bad with her tone of voice and attitude that he came back and said that he’s never going back inside. I then asked someone to take my order, and again, for my bad bad bad luck kate came back out. We asked again kindly if it’s possible to sit inside, she immediately started attacking with ‘YOU CAME LATE’ and etc etc. At that moment I asked for Paul and told her to leave me and my family alone. I hated that experience so much that I ended up leaving. I don’t know why she behaved that way. We look a little different as we are Muslim but that’s not any excuse to treat us differently. I am so shocked at this experience and best believe I am never going back and will speak out about the racial discrimination in this restaurant.

Underwhelming experience. The place looked really nice from the outside, the interior decoration was also very nice and trendy, the food smelled good so we had good hopes for this place. However upon arriving we were met with a very haughty and cold waitress. She let us know we had to leave at 12h15 (an hour after we arrived approprimately) and didn't look pleased with us choosing to eat still. If it had ended there it would've ok, but even our plates disappointed us. First of all, the dishes were really good, good execution and technique, but the portions were quite small compared to what we're used to for a Scottish/British breakfast, which given the price (around £14) felt like quite a rip-off. Secondly, an item was missing from both my friend and I's plate, which didn't help either. Luckily, when we told another waitress (more professional than her former colleague), she offered some compensation, but she didn't seem to be too surprised ? All in all, a trendy place that certainly must've lost a bit of quality with fame (that or it was just a bad day). Would not really recommend...

I’m not the one to leave reviews, only when I truly love a place. The Singl-end in Glasgow is one of them. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is superb every time I come here. Today I had the omelette and it exceeded my expectations. It was delicious! Be aware that the portions are very generous, so if you are not very hungry, you can easily share the dishes. Well done for offering such a 5-star service! I’ll definitely come back.

Food was great. Our server was really rude. She asked us to vacate our table as the next customer was waiting. This was after we had to wait for our table as the previous ran over & we had to wait a while for our food. I said they would have to wait 5 mins as I got our 4 month old ready to go out into the cold, she threw the card reader down on the table & walked away. We weren't rude or asking much. Her attitude was appalling, I never complain but she rushed us out the door and stomped away like a petulant child. We won’t be back

Very cute place for breakfast. Definitely a hidden gem that I recommend. I had the French toast which was delicious! They also have a selection of cakes which i didn't have chance to try but all of them looked so good

Great place. Big choice, delicious, generous portions and good prices. Had the satay wrap today which was delicious, had a filled roll a few weeks ago which was really big and generously filled. Both reasonably priced. Will definitely be back. Really friendly lady too.

Decor was nice. Disappointed to see unpacked boxes lying about. Staff were nice. Steak sandwich was disappointing as the steak very tough.and presentation not good. I do hope that this is teething problems and you sort them out and are successful. I think other Soulsa regular customers will be disappointed 😞

I had a refreshing cup of coffee and my husband had his favorite espresso beverage. The coffee and espresso beverage were well prepared. We also ate some breakfast rolls along with baguettes. Delicious food and well experienced staff.

The BEST ever joint I have visited for a quick coffee, millionaire shortbread slice and a sandwich. Damon the owner is so accommodating. Will be sad to see it close
