Fab Turkish coffee. Definitely not your average coffee house. So please to have this non generic cafe in my area, am so fed up with the branded coffee chains, same old, same old.

This is such a wonderfully decorated place! Every table is unique and still within the theme, my friends and I were struggling to decide just where to sit. Everywhere I looked I noticed something interesting, it was honestly wonderful. The food was really good as well. I tried a few of their things, with the pistachio latte being a highlight and the chicken shawarma coming in second! Though the online menu was quite a pain to use, there were too many dishes with no obvious way to search through them other than scroll through the whole thing. Still, it's a cafe I see myself revisiting.

Second visit to the Ottoman coffee house. It was packed out on a Saturday lunchtime but we quickly got a seat. I had pakora and my friend had a handi, I had a cold coffee and she an afagato- I followed up with carrot cake (which is exceptional) . Great food and service aside, it’s the atmosphere and vibe of the place that stands out. It’s somehow both super chill and extremely high energy; with staff rushing around to serve people quickly and customers relaxing in a variety of chairs. They play an ambient soundtrack which is subtle but works. There is an astonishing range of choice on the menu even for a coffee snob like myself, and I look forward to returning to try something new. Ambience 10/10, service 10/10. Superb range of vegan options. In a city packed with coffee shops and curry houses, it remains one of a kind.

Visited last month for a late lunch, the place was busy but we were able to get a table quick. The decor is beautiful and theres lots to look at. The cafe has a lot of tables and small sofa areas, giving the place a cosy feel where you want to sit and enjoy. The menu has a good variety of food and drinks. We ordered the Hummas starter, Chips and cheese, Chicken shawarma and a Latte. Service was quick and everything was made with fresh ingredients. The staff are lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend. Looking forward to trying desserts next time and iced drinks.

Our date at the Ottoman Coffeehouse in Glasgow was simply amazing. The place itself is beautiful, with a charming and cosy interior that sets a perfect mood. We ordered a sweetened matcha latte, a vanilla latte and a vegan cheesecake. Each item was extraordinary and bursting with flavours. The sweetened matcha latte was perfectly balanced, while the vanilla latte was rich and creamy. The vegan cheesecake was a delightful surprise and incredibly tasty. We were thrilled to find plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, along with an impressive range of coffee choices. The attention to detail in both the food and drinks is evident and much appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed and enjoyable date. As a coffee enthusiast always on the look out for specialty & artisan coffee, right here at the Ottoman Coffee House is one of the best flat whites I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. They use a Feama E71 espresso machine - an elite in the coffee shop espresso machine world. In addition, a great selection of filter brews and methods (have yet to try). Beautiful aesthetic inside of vintage ottoman mixed with classic British furniture - an overall vintage vibe of dark woods, leather and lamps. Recommendation: you have beautiful natural light that large tall palms and plants would sustain in such a space with your high ceiling. This will certainly add a finishing touch to this space.

A hidden gem in Glasgow's West End, that promotes meditation and relaxation in the busy city. This beautiful location offers an authentic atmosphere of a Eastern coffee house, with the decor and coffee options reflecting traditional Ottoman features. I had the Ibrik which is brewed the same way it has been since 1554, its concentrated taset is strong yet smooth and sits with you for some time, very much worth trying. I also had the Americano which was also presented very nicely and tasted amazing. Fantastic venue to sit and read, chat, or play chess over a cup of great coffee.

We’d heard good things about this Coffeehouse, both on social media and through word of mouth, so decided to give it a go. First and foremost, plan ahead for your parking and ensure you read the parking limitations carefully. We seen a few ticketed cars. This business prides itself on bridging the Ottoman past and present, touching on nostalgia to provide a café as well as a safe haven, for those who simply want to come and chill. This was evident as there was a big student contingency who appeared to be using it as a study place (the University of Glasgow and the Glasgow School of Art are both nearby). From a vast menu, my wife and I opted for a Mocha and White Coffee respectively, Mushroom Pakora (to share), Hummus / Pitta Bread (to share) and two portions of Traybake. All of it was faultless but the real winner, mutually agreed, was the Hummus / Pitta Bread - the smoothest and tastiest Hummus I’ve ever experienced with soft, warm homemade Pitta Bread. Could easily have ordered one each! Our bill, including a tip, was around the £30 mark which was on par with the prices within the west end area. The service was great - limited delays given how busy the place was and friendly staff. My only criticism was the queueing system at the door - a little bit of communication would have let people know what the situation was. Felt like we were bypassed by staff a few times without any indication on table availability / timings. Taking everything into consideration however, this was a five star experience and one I’ve already passed on, to ensure the publicity through word of mouth continues!

We ordered coffees which was decent enough. For lunch we went for lamb bryani at £12.90... tasted like packet rice and the few bits and lamb was tasteless! We also ordered a couple of mixed and chicken kebabs and a doner with chips and cheese. Again the pieces of chicken and lamb were tasteless and definitely not chargrilled!! I think it was all premade and microwaved! All in all the food was awful at ridiculous prices for what we got! Coffees and cakes would have been fine in a nice atmosphere cafe but definitely not the food!! Definitely not worth £60 and won't be going back!!

Food is weirdly amazing at that price point. Like everything I have tried in there is extremely tasty and good quality. They have automated the service, ordering all must be done online at your seat on your phone which I don't love doing as of course it's easier just to order through a person, BUT it creates a much more relaxed environment as the staff are not hassled and stressed or spending a lot of time taking convoluted orders around the tables. The designer has taken it to extremes and you apparently need to order online a chat with the service team, ask them questions or even to request cutlery. But it works. It lowers the hustle and bustle around you and makes the place convivial and relaxed ! The drinks are even better, never had such good coffee and also had a tumeric latte which was ace. Everyone dead friendly. Guy who presented as the owner was mint.

What a place. Was wanting a pick-me-up and I wandered into this place. First thing you really notice is just the incredible atmosphere. It’s not pretentious like a lot of coffeeshops are, it feels very lived-in, genuine, no-frills. The skylights, the pendant lights, antique fixtures from times long past, all add to an amazing feel. Service is good because you just find yourself a spot, order from your phone, and someone’ll bring it out to you without skipping a beat, and they’ll also make sure whether or not you’re enjoying what you ordered, indicating they care for the quality of coffeemaking. Only had coffee while I was in, but it didn’t pull any punches. I ordered flavored lattes, but they were made in such a way that the coffee didn’t overpower the flavoring, and vice versa. An equal balance, and it woke me up, so job done well in that sense. All in all, couldn’t recommend this place enough. Would have to say it’s my favorite place to grab a cup of joe in Glasgow, if not the whole of Scotland itself. Good on you, Ottoman.

Great pub in the East End. Plenty of space for a party of 10 to get food and drinks, all delivered in good time. Staff are very friendly and full of the Glasgow banter!
