Amazing Korean food, we had the crispy Korean wings, chicken bimbap and the cheesy tteokbokki which was fantastic. Service was fast and decor is simple and cute.

One of the few authentic Korean restaurants in Glasgow where Korean chefs cook. Other places just imitated Korean food and served Chinese food. The atmosphere is clean and the food is delicious. The service is also great. There are several menus and the prices are reasonable.

We had SUCH a great experience at Namu today! The food was amazing and there were SO many veggie options!! I had the lunch deal (£15 for a starter and a main which I think is a pretty sweet deal!) The fried shimeji and oyster mushroom starter was SO yummy (batter was light and fluffy and perfectly seasoned!) and the tofu bibimbap for main was heavenly😍 will definitely be back again!!

Welcome to flavour town. Population you. Maybe. On the skirts of the hustle and bustle of the city centre is Namu. It’s inconspicuous and understated but packs an almighty gastro punch. On a very quiet, drizzly summers eve we were one of only a couple of tables filled with knowing patrons. We did not leave disappointed. The prices were hard to believe for the quality of the food. More ish dumplings, punchy ramen. All our dishes were first class. It’s casual and a little cafe like but the kitchen is producing some truly epic Korean fare. Highly recommended!!!

We had a fantastic meal at Namu yesterday! Everything was cooked fresh, and you could see the chef at the pass carefully adding all the garnishes. We went for the £14.95 set menu, which is amazingly available on a Saturday too - what great value! I would recommend the Tofu with Spring Onion in particular - delicious! We were also pleased to see a selection of fresh, homemade deserts - I had the Bingsu, and my partner had the sweet pancake. Both were delicious!

The fried seaweed rolls were dope! I have never tried anything like that before. 10/10 I will deffo return. ETA: I did return ❤️ everything was just as good

Food is unreal! It's so fresh & tasty. First time trying Korean cuisine and was blown away. Location is fab as right across the road from Theatre Royal, so it's ideal if you are going to a show. I went on a Monday night with my two daughters, and it was buzzing. We can't wait to go back!

RACISM. Avoid. Went here another rainy day, and idk why but restaurant owner stared at us as if we were trash. I am Asian FYI. I was confused and thought maybe it got a bad day so didn't care much, but after literally 5 seconds it fawned the table next to us with 2 white people, tried to please them like a ugh. And we were left for around 20mins without any service etc. And we got our food in interestingly low speed. It gave us poor service and brought wrong dishes twice, however when this issue happened 2nd time, it insisted that dish was right with terrible attitude. Like it thought I have never seen a fishcake in my life before. INTERESTING. And the food also tastes bad. This fake Korean food worth £25/pp? Joking. Believe me you can literally find a way better place to eat just in 100m distance. Don't come. You have to look at the boss's face when you want to eat. It's ridiculous. Price wise, £25pp. I misremembered. Not expensive but tasty. The boss stared at us straight from the moment we entered the door, his eyes were very unfriendly, as if I was a beggar? It is also the one that ignores people who speak Chinese. I heard it speak Chinese and spoke Chinese to it, but it insisted on speaking English, so I also spoke English. But his English wasn't good enough, and it was really funny how he ended up having to speak Chinese. Wrong dishes were served twice. The first time it was a young girl, I said it was not our dish and sent it back. The second time, when it pointed at a mess of sushi and said this is fish cake, I really wanted to laugh. I have never been treated like this when dining out, and it was a real eye-opener for us to dress appropriately for the day. So the only explanation is that the owner is racist against Asians and wants all white people in the restaurant. Wish you something that can’t pass muster👋 Attached is the proof of purchase at this store. If I could, I wish I had not walked into this store that day. Who wants to ruin a good day by bad food and bad service? update respond: if you don't remember, the "boss" was the middle age asian woman behind the counter. And you say I was wrong in my own memories, well better prove it. It's really ridiculous, first you say I made a malicious negative review and then you say my memory is wrong? My only mistake was choosing your restaurant. Whether she remembered the experience or not doesn't matter as I was sharing my unpleasant experience here. And I am also from a minority background so I definitely can tell when someone is treating me with a discriminatory attitude. Who's not an Asian? It's useless.

Pigged out and the food here is so delish! Tons of vegan options to choose from and a great saving set menu through lunch and dinner. Was craving some hot soup, had to get the kimchi pancake and makgeolli on the side.

This place was the nicest and coziest place I've been to, it was really something to remember. Would not he good for people with no patience as very little staff, but such good food.

Namu is very reasonable and the food authentic and homecooked, tasty and varied. We meet regularly from all over Scotland and its our favourite Korean meetup spot.

Incredible takeaway, probably the best I’ve had in Glasgow

Visiting from California and was in dire need of something close to home. I found Namu which was exactly what I was looking for. Stumbled in around 1 and was given their regular menu and a lunch special. I went with the lunch special and got the chicken which was battered perfectly and lightly. As the main, I went for the kimchi soup. It was great for me but not sure if it’ll be too spicy for the locals. Get the somaek (beer and soju). 2 of those will get you going! Enjoy

Second time back at this wonderful gem! Delicious authentic Korean food, lots of variety and full of flavour. Plenty on offer for vegans. Opted for the tofu starter and japchae main course on this occasion and loved! Also have eaten the rice cakes and dolsot bibimbap, which were fantastic too. The people who work here are lovely and the prices are very reasonable. So glad to have this in Glasgow.

I had the aubergine katsu w/ garlic soy and my boyfriend had the tofu bibimbap, both of which are vegan, and both amazing. Good portion sizes and tasted great. Definitely take advantage of the meal deal, we got starters included with our mains for £13.95 each, great prices considering the quality and location. So good and definitely worth the visit, will come again!

This restaurant has become a go-to for me whenever I am in Glasgow for work. The food is exquisite and very well priced compared to other places that serve Korean food in the area. Service is always quick and cheerful. Can’t wait until my next visit!

Had a really nice dinner here. Got the kimchijeon and bibimbap which were both great. Best kimchijeon I’ve had, and the prices were very reasonable, good portions too. Staff were friendly and attentive and restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

Tried all the Korean places in Glasgow and this is the best one. Meal deal is great value for money also. We had nearly all the small plates going. Samgyopsal was phenomenal. Kimchi jeons were delicious and so were the bibimbaps.

This is my favorite restaurant in Glasgow! Not only are the ingredients incredibly fresh, there are so many vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. The staff is wonderful, service is prompt and the variety of options is diverse.

I really enjoyed my tofu jajangmyeon (korean black been noodles) it was little sweet for my taste but was good. Also had vegetable dumplings, they were really good and the sauce they served with it was spicy and loved that. Definitely a go place for korean food.

Ordered 3 meals for 2 persons: bibimbap, cheese toppoki and korean fried chicken. Portion was quite big (which is good), taste very delicious, price was affordable as well. Service was excellent, the writer speaks politely and they offered free side dishes that taste as good as the meals. We’ll definitely come back again!!!!

First class service. Contacted them to use there takeaway truck for a new car release event in our branch. Unfortunately it wasn't available but they offered us a great buffet service that we, customers and all the people involved including my wife who took some leftovers absolutely loved. Visiting from Seattle, WA Taste preferences: extra spicy & savory Ethnicities: Korean, Filipino, white My husband and I ordered the mandoo and were disappointed that they were not steamed as was pictured in the menu. They are fried gyoza. When asked if there were any steamed options, we were told "no" and that it was just a picture on the menu - even though it was clearly positioned right next to the food listing. The fried pork belly lettuce wraps were the best part of our meal. The pork was cut thin so it allowed for it to crisp up perfectly and the spicy bean paste had a good "kick" to it. The hot stone bibimbap was good, plenty of veggies and adequate meat portions. Fair ratio of rice. Black bean noodles with pork was alright and somewhat sweet, like their kimchi. Overall our experience was good.

Food was delicious and freshly made, served really quickly and service was amazing. Highly recommend the Dolsot bibimbap and Yuja Lemonade. Definitely worth visiting again.

Overall I enjoyed a nice meal experience. Note : the beef in the cold noodle, too tough (for my liking), plus the small side pickles (?) was not salty neither sour, just raw vegetables marinated with chilli flakes. Not sure what's the function of it. It's not kimchi nor salad. For this reason I rate food 4★ So why overall is 5★? Because the lady who was in charge of the front today was a star! She managed it alone with smile and I can see all tables being served well. Respect 👍 I'll visit again to try dessert and other savoury dishes. So yes, this is the place I'm happy to visit again.

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant many times. However, I only recently learned that this restaurant offers a 10% discount for students using cash, which is usually a common way for restaurants to avoid tax. Unfortunately they didn't tell the truth about this and I always paid original price and more than 10% tips each time which meant I was paying at least 20% ​​each time which was really disappointing and shocking! Secondly, all the staff in this restaurant are part-timers, except for a lady at the bar. Their service is spotty, there was one short girl who likes to point a finger at the table which was rude. I suggest that the boss should also pay attention to the feelings of customers while considering the interests, otherwise you will lose many loyal customers.

perfect cheesy tteobokki and mandu was unique & i really loved the dipping sauce. good priced too! not too cheap, not too expensive. the server was kind, the interior design is beautiful, and the toilets are very clean!!! i will come back next time i'm in glasgow :D

What a find! Which if I am honest was a bit of a mistake! However, a good mistake! We headed here with some friends for a Saturday night dinner, we were suited and booted [as they say]. Namu is however a more casual affair, that didn't stop us enjoying our meal! Staff were absolutely amazing [possibly the owners, we are unsure]. They thoroughly explained the menu to us and explained what was good for one of our party who is vegetarian! Stand out dishes - Korean Chicken Wings, Korean Stew for 2 Head here if you are in the area, can't wait to go back

Once again we left the restaurant amazed by the quality/quantity/price relation of the courses and by the warm and friendly treat from the staff. We will definitely come back.

We visited Namu this weekend on a Spur of the moment discussion. Called ahead at 18.45 on Saturday evening and had a tabled for 3 booked for 19.30. The food was delicious the service was quick and the bill very reasonable I would definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this place for dinner! I’ve been in Glasgow for a business trip for 2 weeks now on a one month trip, and I have already been here twice. The first time, I got the Samgyeopsal as my main with crispy chicken kimbap as a starter and kimchi on the side. It was a perfect dinner, left me satisfied and not overly full. The food was delicious. The second time I decided to take pictures. The photos are of their Jajangmyun (with pork) and their chicken mandu. Both were delicious, and good portions again. Highly recommend this place if you are craving korean food. My lady is Korean, and I was definitely getting a little homesick, this place provided some comfort. The service is very fast and polite, and the restaurant is spotless in terms of cleanliness. I’ll most likely be back for a third dinner.

The service was terrible. There was a waiter to give the impression of discrimination. And the heat in the room is still too cold.

I absolutely love the Hotteok desert filled with cinnamon and sugar. I don’t think any other Korean restaurant does it as far as I know. The mains are decent too. This was our 3rd visit and unfortunately the service was pretty much non existent today. We basically had to serve ourselves. After choosing our food, we closed the menus to show we were ready and sat there for half an hour! We felt completely ignored. They occasionally cleaned some tables around us, hanged in the kitchen and just ignored us. Then they took the order of a couple next to us who arrived AFTER us and again ignored us. So we had to ASK for them to take our order finally. After the food I stacked up all the plates so they knew we were done, and waited and waited, I was hoping to order my favourite dessert. Obviously I had to get up and ask for it myself. The restaurant was NOT that busy by this point. Guess what happened when we put our coats on to indicate we were ready to leave? Well fortunately we knew it was self service at this point. There's no excuse tbh. It's just a shame because the food is nice. Please fix the service. 🥺🙏

This restaurant is really close to Theatre Royal so I popped in for a bite to eat before a show and was shocked at how delicious the food was! The noodles are incredible and the barley tea has a unique and yet delicious taste. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Korean food or anyone who likes unique teas!

Enjoyed the food immensely! Ordered: Jeongol(Korean hot pot) - Gamjatang(pork ribs and potato stew) It was really tasty and full of flavor, perfect for sharing between two people. Will definitely return and try the other Jeongol options

The quality of food was good, but service was extremely slow. Took 45 mins to start serving an item and everything was served after an hour. Had to drink my juice sparingly.

Friendly staff and really clean place, cute deco. Food was amazing, you can tell everything is fresh, they care about the quality. I had the bibimbap with pork belly and my husband the jjajangmyeon with beef, bibimbap and korean friend chicken to share; what a feast! Totally recommend this place. P.S. they gave us a couple of sweets after we paid that taste like heaven (apparently they are rice flavour but taste like sweet popcorn to us)

Went with friends as we'd heard they also had halal chicken. When we asked they said it was. Between 4 of us we got ddeokbokki, seafood pancake, sweet chilli fried chicken, kimchi and tofu jjigae, bimimbap and 2 cinnamon and sugar hotteoks. We were full after. Everything was delicious. In this cold weather the stew was warming and the cinnamon hotteok was the perfect end to the meal. We talked about those hotteok on the way home and are planning on visiting again just for the hotteok with a cup of tea. 🥰 Price was also very decent, and they did free refills of barley tea. Overall, will absolutely be back and think I've found a new favourite place!

Really great Korean food and they have so many vegan options it’s amazing! Everything on the menu with a v is vegan and they have at least one vegan option in every dish. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in Korean food and anyone vegan.

Food is not bad. But I waited about 40 mins....for one soup... If they serve faster would be much better. Also when I came to this restaurant when it just opened, they used to serve tap water and some dishes 반찬 when customers arrive. Now they don’t do this anymore... :(

I had never been to a Korean restaurant before but I'll definitely be going back to Namu! The food was delicious and the restaurant is lovely with great service and a relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the chicken wings and pork belly bibimbap!
