Seoul Korean BBQ Restaurant in Glasgow City

Authentic Korean food. Good portion size and a decent price.

It says cash only on the door, which is a crime against tax evasion. We were also charged 10% for eating a few bites of our own cake in the store, and the waiter told us that it was written on the door. Would anyone really read the rules carefully and eat in the door?

Fell into this wee cracker by chance. Charming greeting and service. Chicken skewers in Teriyaki sauce, stir-fried Udon noodles with chicken. Superb. Will be back.

A lovely restaurant with very welcoming and helpful staff. What a fantastic selection of food. When our dishes arrived, it was like having our own mini banquet! We shared a bottle of strawberry soju. Note to soju newbies (and I include myself here); the alcohol content is like rocketfuel. Respect the soju and there's a chance your head will thank you the next day. Wonderful place. I will definitely be back 🫰🏼🥰🇰🇷

Great Korean food, service was quick and friendly. Fantastic tasting dishes, recommend the Yuk gae jang and cheese dakggalbi.

First time to visit, and we only found it by passing by. There was a free table so we gave it a go and we were so pleased we did. Very well prepared and presented food. Tasted so good. Staff were very polite and attentive. Will definitely be back for another round. If you are in the area this is one for you list, you won't be disappointed

Amazing Korean restaurant. The food was superb and good value. Loved the dumplings and fried chicken. Was fairly full at 5pm on a Fri and mainly with Koreans so a good sign!

Very busy - even on a Tuesday night in early January. Definitely book or arrive early if you want a table with BBQ. Instead we had to settle for the army stew which was good. Kimchi pancake and rice cakes also good. Fried chicken was our least favourite. Service fast and staff pleasant enough but not overly friendly. N.B. 10% service charge automatically added for tables of 3+.

Perfect place for authentic Korean food!!! 😄 Friendy staff with nice smile, great food with fresh taste. No wonder why this restaurant has lots of customers! Really solid korean restaurant at a decent price. I had pork bibimbap, wife had cold noodle soup. Bibimbap was great, good mix of meat and vegetables, spicy/sweet bbq sauce was provided to mix in with it. Egg was cooked to perfection with a runny yolk. Lovely. Cold noodle soup was OK, but didn't really pop. But they were still nice, and wife actually has a cold right now, so that could be affecting her taste buds :) Overall, great place for a quick lunch that won't break the bank.

Food was very tasty, no doubt on that. But service was little slow. Also we ordered veg chigae, but by mistake they got us it with clam. However they changed it but it took long time to get our food. If you like korean food, you should definitely try.

Great service and food has great quality. However the environment is a bit small, not suitable for big crowds group. Also, they don’t have extractor fan for BBQ, don’t wear your favorite clothes otherwise it will smell oily after meal.

First impressions - poor, we were just pointed to our seat. Attitude - poor. We had no signal on our phones, we asked for WiFi politely, the waitress just pointed to a wall, then left. Service - poor. We ordered food fairly quickly, as we only had 1 hour for parking. 15 mins later, the waiter came back and asked us what we have ordered! We wasted 15 mins waiting and had to repeat our orders. Food came around 10 mins later, but we were short of time eating the food, so I had to run out to extend the parking. There were a selection of food, but the food was average. After paying, we didn't even get a thank you. Food was okay, but beware of service quality

Excellent meal yesterday. I didn't fancy the BBQ and I noted that the majority of Korean folk in there weren't having it. Superb vegetable and prawn tempura, pork belly, fried chicken, kimchi, Daikin. Loved it.

Great food! The beef Bibimap is amazing, I would recommend. Very reasonable portion and price. Better than most Korean food we had in London...!

Cannot believe how good this place is. It's very authentic and all dishes freshly made. Great kimchi and kimchi jeon. We over ordered as didn't realise the barbecue set for two is pretty generous; there is loads of meat and all of high quality. New go to restaurant in Glasgow for us. Excellent service; prompt and attentive.

Delicious food at a very reasonable price. Lots of options on the menu it was hard to choose! The seafood udon noodles were delicious and a great portion size with lots of seafood in it.

Have dined here twice and both times it has been outstanding. We tried a wide array of dishes on our first visit, the the bbq on our second and looking forward to returning.

I'm from Hong Kong, but my girlfriend and I speak Mandarin. We travel to here from Edinburgh. I don't know if the waitress was racist or just had a bad attitude. She has an attitude of not wanting to pay attention to you, and she gives off an air of arrogance and contempt. I don't know if it's Korean culture or a misunderstanding, but my girlfriend and I were very unhappy with the service. We haven't finished eating yet, but she keeps urging you to drive you away and takes away the plate directly. Other than that, the food was good and served quickly, but the waitress needs to learn basic courtesy and professionalism.

The food quality was not as good as I had last time , the noodle was over cooked. Everything is just soggy. The worst part was the service. Both waiter and waitress were not friendly (which I think I do own them quite a lot of money). We asked bill twice until we got the bill. And it was not busy at all during lunch time. I will not come back again. Highly not recommend

Rude male waiter. Rushing us to pay at 9.30 with very rude attitude even though we have not finished our food (No one told us we could only have 1 hour to eat when they accepted our booking at 8.15). That boy has NO manner. I understand that the manager need to cash off at the end of the night. But it would be fine if the waiter asked me with politeness. He literally threw the bill in front of us and was waving card machine in front of my face when I was trying to read the bill. Worst dinning experience in Glasgow. Rude service. Definitely not recommend for any one!

Never had Korean food. No place like this in Dundee. Had to stay at a Travelodge out of the blue in the centre and we were very tired. Saw this place on way to lodgings. Decided a quick take away back at lodgings was the best idea. 5pm and it was already really busy. Which is always a great sign. And smells that catch you as you enter..Oh My God! I never leave reviews for anything. But after the amazing service from the staff, who gave lots of tips and info for us first timers, to the actual food, which was so good! I cannot recommend these enough! So good that we are coming back and staying locally after next pay day! We will be trying so much here! Btw, try the grape juice, and plum juice if you don't drink alcohol. So amazing! The fried chicken leaves KFC tasting like soggy cardboard. And a noodle dish for my better half, who cannot eat capcasin/chillis, was amazing! Staff were super helpful but not cloying and acting fake like a lot of other restaurants. Also, great pricing! Please open a place in Dundee asap! You would clean up!

Best Korean food and best korean fried chicken I have tasted in Glasgow. They also have the BBQ grill option which I have not tried yet. This place is a hidden gem an becoming more and more popular via word of mouth. I will let the pictures do the talking now.

We had the Korean bbq and even though we thought it would be too much for us we devoured the whole plate. It was so delicious I can't wait to come back with friends. The staff were super helpful in showing us how it worked too.

I came here with zero expectations but the food surprised me! It was sooo good! They open at 12 but the stuff let us in at 11.50 kind of nice service! I was expecting authentic Korean food and they provided me one ! So good!

Really nice korean restaurant. Quick service. Very nice ambience. I loooooooved all their items. Went on a weekend and it was not too busy. Portion was very nice and not too costly so I was really happy with that 🙃 Clean toilets on the first floor. Overall really nice ✨💫 p.s. my favourites are dubu kimchi and tteok-boki.. they are just 정말 맛있다 💕

I love this restaurant! BBQ in this restaurant is delicious, and the Samgyetang chicken soup（I forgot the name) is super delicious. Every time I go from Edinburgh to Glasgow, I just want to eat this chicken soup. Beef short ribs soap is also delicious. Fried chicken is also delicious. I love this restaurant so much. I want to go to Seoul to try more delicious food.

First of all, the barbecue set meat which I paid £45 for is not what I expected. The meet is not fresh because there’s discolouration on the beef as can be seen in the picture. I genuinely think that this restaurant should spend some time levelling up their food’s quality, at least making sure that the food served to the customers doesn’t look funny. Second, the waitress took our plates off the table without even asking us if we’ve finished and expected us to pay 10% service charge, which frankly speaking, I don’t think we have received any. By the way, the bulging roll is quite good.

Great little place, would highly recommend the BBQ table. It's a great experience with amazing food, just a little pricey and the amount of lettuce you fet with a sharing platter is not enough. Though you get plenty of meat, if you're not a big eater you can probably share it with a total of 3 people instead of 2 (which is what it recommends)

The service was nice , food was good but rice took hour to come and portion was little.

Would recommend to book reservation rather than walk in. As the place is quite popular the wait time is pretty long, so best recommend to book a table. Pork belly gimbap and tteboki, one of the best me and my friend have tried

Everything was great about this restaurant. The waiting staff was well attentive and the food was delivered on time. Didn’t order much as was in a rush but would definitely come back and try out some bbq. Good for families with children of all ages, only thing thing for us was there’s no dessert at all. Was a bit of a let down as came to celebrate something but can’t do that with having a slice of cake or an ice cream…can you🫣

Recently discovered this place and knew I had to drop by. One was not disappointed. Food was great, had Korean Fried Chicken crispy and juicy. Loved it! Would suggest adding the 치킨무to the menu. Can't have KFC without 치틴무! The 육개장 was the real deal. Pretty much every dish is as authentic as it gets. Price range is just right and one gets to enjoy a hearty meal. Major shout out to Hana who is the hostess with the most. The whole team in general work well together and are quite attentive to customers. If coming in for dinner definitely call ahead and book. Glad to have them in town and their location is just right.

Cool atmosphere, nice enough service and the food was okay. Had salmon teriyaki, nice crispy skin but the salmon was wildly overcooked and the salad was basic but a really nice dressing! Dad had a big bowl of seafood most of which was chewy and overcooked. Didn't partake in the on table BBQ though so maybe that would redeem it :⁠-⁠) Not the best but handy for the theatre probably won't go back again though.

Great place for South Korean cuisine. We had Jajangmyeon, Fried chicken and Seafood noodles. Also, got some sides for free. Everything was delicious, nothing to add. Service was great, we came in at rush hour, but still got a chance to sit near the windows. Haven’t tried Bbq, definitely will do next time.

We visited when in Glasgow for a bite. The service was impeccable, super friendly and polite. The food was amazing. The best jeon we've had in a restaurant, on the same level with the ones we've tried in Korea. Great quality meat and the sides that came with were perfect. Even though Korean BBQ is the definition of simplicity in food there are multiple details that can make the experience somewhat bad but in Seoul Korean BBQ everything was best in class. If you want to experience Korean BBQ and enjoy the food and the atmosphere then this is the place to visit. Would recommend!

Another great spot for some South Korean favourites! Tried their Dolsot Bibimbap which was delicious and served traditionally in the stone bowl. Also had their Tteobboki which was surprising spicy which I loved! Highly recommend

First visit to Seoul Glasgow, certainly won’t be my last! Great selection of food and fast friendly service. Food was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint. Menu has plenty options to choose from. The chicken Dumplings were magic. Cannot wait to return. Would recommended highly, but remember to book ahead, during my visit I seen many people missing out on a great dinner due to not booking a table.

Some good Korean food. Will definitely go back, only slight negative, I wasn't too familiar with Korean food so I needed a little time to look over menu but we weren't given much time however I picked something and it was good.

I order the soya bean stew , Black noodle and rice roll which is all with good authentic Korean taste. The restaurant is clean. Will come back next time

I’m not sure if a restaurant can get any better than this honestly. I didn’t think food can get so good before coming here! Everything was served sizzling hot by our greatly skilled waitress Jinyoung. We were treated and taken care of so well I will recommend it to everyone and I will definitely be back myself.

Wonderful service and excellent food. They needed our table for a booking and where so apologetic and offered another table with complimentary drinks, which they didn't have to do. Left a very happy customer

2023/03 Probably the best Korean restaurant in glasgow!!!! We ordered bbq set, seafood pancakes, cheeses chicken, Tteok-Bokki and sujo! All the stuff are perfect! If you pay by cash will have 10% off discount (excluding alcohol). Also, if you are three people or above, need to pay 10% service charges. (Cannot removed)

Very bad service. Someone like a manager has no respect to our customers. We even don’t want to stay there for any longer time. Will never come again.

Popped in for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised by the food on offer. Went for the salmon and rice which was beautiful and the Korean fried chicken was super tasty in a lovely crispy batter. The table next to us went for the cook your own bbq platter and we will definitely try this next time. The waitress was also very friendly and lovely to chat to. I will definitely be back!

This spicy salmon was one of the best meals I've had in as long as I can remember. The flavor was amazing - perfectly spiced and yet balanced, the salmon was tender, and the sides were great. Can't wait to come back and try more things from the menu.

Food was very tasty but service very poor. Only 2 people were visibly working - on the till, taking orders, cleaning tables etc. Nobody was there to greet customers, we have to call their attention. Our first time to eat there and we have had to ask what's the difference between ordering a bbq meal and thru the menu as nobody cared to explain. They also gave the main meal just a few minutes after they gave the starter ones which meant it was getting cold while we were still eating the starter. But the thing that got me miffed most was the 15% recommended service charge that they automatically added when you put your card in. Our bill came up to just over £47 and my friend offered to use her card and I'd pay her my share. I already got the 10% cash for tip ready but then when the machine was given to my friend to use her card, she did not notice that there was a recommended 15% service charge automatically added until she's already swiped her card. Also , the receipt did not show the 15% service charge, would that even go to the staff? Yes, I think it's always nice to give a tip to a restaurant which I always do at least 10% or a little bit more if the service was great. But I totally did not agree with what this restaurant did, I think it's a bit deceiving. Suffice to say I wouldn't go back nor recommend it to my friends, even though the food was tasty, it was wasted by the poor service and the tip issue. We went to Costco for our dessert and coffee instead. Sorry to share our bad experience but just a wee warning to anyone so they are aware what to expect. I hope the management will read this and make some changes.

We had our first Korean bbq ever last night. It was really delicious. And lots of fun thanks to the lovely staff who showed us what to do. Really great value for plenty of food and a great menu. Strongly recommend this place.

Just had an amazing lunch with my wife. Kimchi, Bibimbap and Bokki are out of this world. Excellent kimchi pancake, fried squid and fried chicken too. All washed down with jasmine tea and all for around £20 a head. Highly recommended. Worth a visit to Glasgow alone just for this little beauty :)

The rice is too soft and the filling of the gimbap has no flavor. We ordered Budae jjigae Bibimbap gimbap etc. at that night. The taste is average and the portion is a bit small。當晚點了好幾樣韓國道地菜 ，也點了Bbq 但味道待改進！最好吃的是辣炒年糕！還有韓國菜一般都會先給涼拌前菜 （泡菜 豆芽菜 醃蘿蔔等）但那天沒有 。

Best korean restaurant ever tried! I highly recommend as the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. We ate there for 2 consecutive days and we really enjoyed it!

Had an amazing meal with my other half. We took the bbq and decided on just the 3 cuts of meat plus some kimchi rice and vegetable pancake. Between the 2 of us that was more than enough food! You are shown what to do with bbq of you haven't had it before as you cook it yourself at the table.Meat was melt in the mouth and deliciously seasoned. Can't wait to go back!!

It’s been ages since I found an authentic Korean restaurant in Scotland! Cheese dakgalbi tasted the same when I was in Korea and bbq meats were perfectly marinated. However I do hope they will give more sides of pickled vegetables like in Korea! Will be back again!

Best Korean food we have ever had during my Glasgow trip. Even better than the ones we had in Korea. Hope they would open a branch in London. Love their fried chicken, seafood pancake and and soups. Very friendly staff as well.

Great time with my friend. Even if we both had sat down further inside & had just ordered our food & the barley tea & banchan had come, they looked after our stuff while letting us both get makgeolli booze from across the road at the asian supermarket to complement our meal as they're still waiting on their alcohol license to sell beers etc at this fairly new restaurant. They don't have enough bbq grill tables yet but the kdrama music was wholesome & nice to see fellow Koreans working here. The food even reminded me of my mum's cooking - both the vegetable kimbap & sam gye tang with the lovely clear soothing broth we had - which is rare since most Korean food I've tried at restaurants here has been alright, sometimes overseasoned & as a Korean, never felt like trying them out much before. My Chinese-Indonesian friend who's also had Korean food at home a lot too, also agreed that the food was great. Will defo be coming again with my sis! 감사합니다~ <3

Went along for dinner on Sunday night. We ate so well! The food was plentiful for the BBQ and the dishes cooked to a very high and delicious standard. The service was excellent, we'll be back soon.

A brilliant atmosphere serving very tasty food that transports you to the heart of Korea itself! Couldn’t recommend it enough.
