If I could give zero stars I would rude aggorant and so unprofessional towards costumers blames his costumers for his handlings of orders it's not my fault that my order was not here on time as requested the fact you had the cheek to hang up the phone shows how much of a great man in a business you are DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE STAY AWAY

Attitude from guy on fone was disgusting, arrogant and certainly no way to treat customers, cancelled order and wont use again

Amazing food in a fantastic setting.

Visited on Saturday with a group of 10.fantastic food,lovely surroundings and the best Indian food I have had in years.well done.

Have not used here for about 4 years won’t be. Leaving it as long again food was piping hot and delicious had a lamb bhoona and chicken chashni with pilau rice and garlic and cheese nan bread 10/10 you won’t be disappointed

Had a lovely meal here at the weekend. Newly refurbished and nice and cozy atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. To start with I had the fish pakora then garlic chilli 🌶 chicken tikka with rice and nan. My husband had vegetable pakora thenchicken tikka buriani with curry sauce 😋 delicious and just the right amount. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and evening.

We had a family meal here where everyone had something different. Every meal was excellent, along with the service. The surroundings were pleasant with a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Arrived and met with great staff. The decor is lovely and serving in a traditional Indian Thali really made me feel like I was there (visited India 2014 so it was nice). If you are thinking of ordering a take away, just get some clothes on and go sit in, you will not be disappointed! Food was very well spiced, served and priced! Looking forward to my next visit!

Food good quality, good service and friendly staff. A wide variety of choice and good spacing of tables so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. I would say that their food is slightly on the pricey side, and £3+ for a soft drink is a bit much. Limited parking.

working in the area and joined some work friends for a meal and It did not disappoint, the service was fantastic the food was amazing and they even sang happy birthday to one of our friends and gave him a free desert as an unexpected treat, will definitely visit again the next time I’m in the area

Both Korma & Butter Chicken bland and tasteless! Very disappointed in the quality of food here. Won't be going back. Also, spoke to management about this via phone call and they were very rude and not understanding at all! No apology and full of excuses! I am very aware indian cuisine can be made differently and to highlight I only eat cheap takeaways in the comments below from management is a poor response. Very unimpressed by both quality of food & service from this restaurant. I hope people read the comments on here and go elsewhere, as it seems I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience. I will definitely not be returning! And just to be clear, I'm comparing this experience with Indian Scene, Turban, Mother India's Cafe etc which are miles ahead.

I went into restaurant to collect my order. The gentlemen was great very polite and customer service was spot on. It's the first time I have ordered and been in there. Great venue very high spec. They are planning to open in a few weeks. One part will be drinks and cocktails and Indian themed tapas which is a great idea. A fab seating area also in the restaurant. I will def be back for take away and will be back with friends. Finally my food was tasty fresh and hot. You must give it a try. Cheers guys.

Just Eat order: This is the WORST Just Eat experience I have ever had. We are so disappointed as we wanted this to be good but please be warned you will waste your money and if you dare to complain you will be shouted down with excuse after excuse. Then, when you're calmly trying to explain to the English sounding woman or man, who presumably run the place, they won't let you finish and hang up on you. On to the reason I called them. The food was on time - great. We live a 10 min drive from this eaterie and it was with us by the specified time. Chicken and Mixed Pakora in a single paper bag each, Naan in a bag - both cool temperature and had to be heated up. Korma sauce runny, like it was watered down and Butter Chicken (bright red and unlike any Butter Chicken we have ever seen - tasted like a different curry sauce?). Neither creamy as you would expect. The chicken and mushroom pakoras are in a bland batter like you'd get from the Chinese or McDonalds chicken nuggets. The mushroom pakora batter undercooked. The veg pakora on the other hand seemed more authentic and of all the items in this sad excuse for an Indian meal, the veg pakora was acceptable. I have never felt the need to complain about a Just Eat meal even if an odd few have been not so great - this one however was in a class of its own as I have described "rubbish" - as that is where it has gone - in the bin (apart from the veg pakora). My call to them was intended to provide constructive criticism, so an apology would have gone a long way but the woman in particular was simply full of excuses and told me she didn't want us as customers. The sad thing for her is that we would never order from here again and will ensure friends avoid also, just on the strength of the appalling food, let alone their base customer service. Particularly disturbing was the woman shouting out my address to presumably anyone listening, very unprofessional not to mention unsafe. I offered to send them photos of the meal to show undercooked pakora and how runny the sauce was, she ignored that but said if I wanted to bring the food back (20 minute round trip), they would replace it but that I would just get the same again, so what was the point? She answered for me! The photos on the restaurant's website are nothing like what was delivered to us - was our meal a one off? Something reheated from day before? I don't get it. Hence, no satisfactory solution to all this as evidently, by her own admission, this is the consistently low standard they serve up. The woman on the phone need not worry, we shall not order from them again. I fully expect an unprofessional reply, just more bluster. I will leave it to Just Eat to deal with and for you to take your chances. Believe me, this is not the way I want to spend a Saturday night - £30 down, a pile of food in the bin and that unprofessional, aggressive attitude. At this rate this restaurant will lose money hand over fist, such a shame given so many businesses are struggling already. I can only chalk it up to an unpalatable experience and wish them luck in improving their food standards and customer care significantly. Photos sent to Just Eat.

Had a takeaway from here at the weekend and although always good it really was amazing. Food was really fresh and delicious, best Indian around here by a mile. The wings and chicken pakora in particular where superb.

Didn’t enjoy first time trying cause it was highly recommended, the so called korma wasn’t a korma didn’t even taste like a korma the garlic Nan i asked for wasn’t garlic the meal was tasteless Won’t be back !!!!! I have ordered a few times from this place but usually through justeat. Today i picked up my food after calling directly with the restaurant. I was a bit worried because of a few low star reviews. I feared perhaps they changed ownership/staff and the food had gone down hill etc as it has been a while since i had food from here. Ordered mix pokara, mince somosas and lamb madras, rice and popodoms. I used to get their chick pokora and it was always the best pokora i ever had. I remember their curries being average. Well my food tonight didn't disappoint. Mix pokora was amazing and crispy, not dried out like other places. Just perfect. Mince somosa very flavourful and crispy. Lamb madras very good. Even the poppadoms are amazing. Alot of places where ive had them are almost stale. Would def recommend and come again. Only reason why i dont use this place as much as i would like is that i usually order food late at night after my work and this place doesnt open as late as others. Even when i opened the door to collect my food the place smelled amazing. Best pokora i ever had!! And im not a pokora person!

Got a delivery from what was always my favourite Indian... I was very disappointed when I meal came as the king prawns where very overdone. And like rubber. Had to put in bin and only ate the sauce and nan bread. The prices everywhere has risen... But the prices in here are well over the top...

visited sunday for two chicken bhoonas. what i got ? runny gravy stew curry, a slice of tomato and chicken from a tupperware dish. never a bhoona. first time customer last time customer. chapati was nice so one star.

I thought this was actually open not just offering a takeaway service?? This used to be good but I can't give it a review as I didn't actually get anything to eat there but was only refused table service after climbing numerous stairs without a sign at the front door stating that it wasn't serving ..

Was looking to order but view the menu has to be a joke. If anybody can view it then they must have magnifying eyes!

Staters were ok. Bhuna chicken was something I could have bought out of the local supermarket. Basically chicken with a bland sauce. Oh and by the way when did Parathas become square? Saving grace was the veg pakora starter. I know they are under refurbishment but this should not lower their standards.

Food great staff excellent cant recommend it enough

Hi, Been going here for a number of years either sitting in or more recently getting take-aways on a Saturday night. This Saturday we found a lot hairs in the curry sauce which nearly made my wife spew up. The meal was put in the bin and I just wanted to let the owner know that we will not be going back.

Have been to this place a good few times now and have to say it never disappoints. Pardeep and his staff are so friendly and helpful and are always wearing smiles. The curries are second to none in a very crowded Glasgow Curry market. This time we did takeaway for a night in with friends. The curries were all so tasty and satisfying. Perfectly spiced to all our different tastes. Spiced onions were to die for and this for me can be a deal breaker for my restaurants. Great value for money and well worth the 40minute drive to get it from Kilmarnock. Easy to find with plenty on street parking in the area. Once the refurbishment is completed this is a must go place!*****

Just got a bindi bahji meal as a takeaway from here and it's a greasy disgusting mess. There's no sauce, no flavour and the okra looks and tastes like it's from a frozen bag from Morrisons. So disappointed and still hungry, it's so inedible that it's going straight in the bin. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

This place is now my favourite, a little pricey but its definitely worth it as the food is so good , chickens tender , veg taste fresh , flavour so strong . Wouldn't go anywhere else now.

My first visit to this place, although the friend I was with is a regular. The staff were so so lovely, and the food was first class. Good choice on the menu and what was delivered to our table was fresh, tasty and just what we needed on a dark February evening. The waiter was also very patient when I had to ask a weird question regarding a sauce! Absolutely recommend to those looking for a great meal!

Used to dine here years ago ,new owners took over and I moved with them to the India quay even though it was a few miles away ,after a few years the younger members of the family restaurant took it back over and it's as good as it was before ,the former owners son & daughter run the place now and they are excellent hosts really nice family and a credit to their dad who owned the original restaurant with his partner ,food is excellent whether it's main meals of buffet always made to a high standard & a good choice of meals & deserts on the Menu ,the restaurant has a nice relaxed feel and nicely decorated overall I was really happy to have revisited this old favourite and will definitely have no hesitation on paying another visit very soon ,well worth a visit if Indian food is a favourite 5 stars from me .

With Cafe Asia just up the road this just does not compare.Opted for the buffet, despite no price's or information being given. Went to go straight for the mains and was bluntly told to take a starter plate first.4 options available - spicy chips, chicken pakora, mushroom pakora and some sort of fried onion dish. All roasting to death in a hot well. Hardly the selection expected for a buffet.Fresh cooked nan offered for the mains - again none of this was explained - was a redeeming factor but again poor quality choices for the mains. 4 possible curries, all luke warm with rice to accompany. It's not buffet standard choices ? No variety and we weren't the only ones disappointed. Dessert table consisted of a cake and a bowl of fruit.The whole setup was awkward, it was like a buffet put on by a family member at an event. Small, awkward and underwhelming and complete with a rude stare if you dare to go up for a second helping.Definitely doesn't live up to the hype.

We decided to skip our usual Italian Restaurant for Our Christmas Day Meal, as it was getting too expensive. We opted to book the Himalaya Restaurant. Well what can I say the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful when we asked what to drink with a curry, we were recommended Shiraz.The meal from the starters were excellent, the main dishes too were excellent no room for dessert, just opted for tea and coffee.It was a lovely experience first time ever the family having a curry on Christmas Day, it won’t be the last. We have been getting takeaways from the Himalaya for over 30 years.Yes. The Christmas Meal was superb and all the staff lovely .A BIG THANK YOU TO MANAGEMENT and the LOVELY STAFF.

First visit to this great local restaurant and will definitely not be the last!We had the buffet and the food was delicious and, just as important, everything was freshly cooked. Plenty of choice too but don't fill up on the starters (which were scrumptious!) or you won't have room left for the main courses which were plentiful and so tasty. Service was great and the waitress who served us was very helpful, without being intrusive. She is definitely an asset!! Must also say that the other staff were friendly and welcoming too.Look forward to visiting again soon and would recommend.

I have previously had a nice takeaway from this restaurant but last night was a big disappointment. Mushroom pakora with hard (not crispy) batter. Chicken chaat was ok nothing exceptional. Chicken bhoona could have been anything really with a slice of tomato on top, and small hard pieces of chicken. Garlic naan was thick and doughy as if it hadn’t been cooked long enough. The paper bag it came in was soaked in grease.The restaurant was very quiet, so perhaps I suffered because of slow turnover. Still I won’t be finding out. No more chances I’m afraid.

Best Indian restaurant in Cardonald? Absolutely. Best Indian restaurant in Glasgow? Probably. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Poor choice of dishes available at buffet. Costly. Poor choice of draught beer/lager. What they did have was expensive. Only plus point was cheery, friendly waitress

Food is really nice, portion sizes are good but it is always very quiet. It gets uncomfortable sitting for too long because the staff will either come over every single time a plate or glass is finished with or they stand at the bar watching you. I get that customer service might be important but if you have 4 or 5 members of staff who are at the bar talking, looking bored or walking over to the buffet to play with the food maybe consider letting a few of them go. I don't think me or my boyfriend will return to sit in we'll stick to ordering at home.

The buffet is small but as we dont eat meat the manager said we could have the buffet (at nearly £15 rach) for flexibility of starters and bread and be allowed to order 2 vegetarian dishes off the menu. So after ordering for ourselves and 2 children and began eating our starters; a member of staff comes up and says they had changed their mind about the offer. Although we are paying for 2 buffets as originally agrees only one of us can have a main meal off the menu and the other would have to make do whats on the buffet or purchase a full price meal at around £10. They weren't able to see how this had suddenly become unreasonable or that they had gone back on their word. They really upset my wife and children with the arguing. I really hate being lied to, especially when it means they are going to get more money out of you. I expressed my opinions again much more strongly and that i would walk out when the manager suddenlu changed his mind and allow it on this occasion. Still unable to see why we were not happy. When the dishes came they were small -clearly side dishes. The only veggie curry on the buffet had been sat quite a while and was no way near hot. It didn't even look appealing (why the offer was given to us), but tried it anyway given the small portion brought to the table. Whilst the Saag and dhal brought to the table were reasonably enjoyable, the veggie dish on the buffet was fairly poor. In contrast the starters on the buffet were fresh as they were being replenished regularly but the naan bread was soggy from the condensation of the trays. Lesson to learn here is not to discriminate or con customers if they have dietary choices or requirements. We won't be back.

We were visiting from USA and so glad that we elected to have dinner in this lovely restaurant in a small town outside of Glasgow rather than go into the city. Loved the food and the service. Lovely casual atmosphere with great value for the food and drinks. The staff are friendly and engaging. I especially loved talking to Kiran who is both lovely and smart and gave us a great insight into life in this small delightful Scotland town.

We visited for an evening meal with friends, being a Monday night the restaurant was quite quiet.

Lovely food ,fresh Nan, buffet very fresh. Wine choice not so great but that's just me Chilean Sauvignon blanc not for me but the chardonnay was pleasant enough.
