The best restaurants in West Lothian Edinburgh and Lothian

Since being diagnosed with coeliac disease, haven't been able to enjoy takeaways or find many that do GF (glutenfree) food, that are decent. La Capanna, do a minted, GF pizza! Always my goto now. Got one last night and it was amazing. Thank guy.

Came to frankie and bennys livingston for a lunch with my fellow colleagues. I ordered a glass of red wine to then be asked for ID. I understand the need to ensure they are not serving underage people however I am a 35yr old woman who clearly does not look under age. The man who was serving was extremely patronising and rude I will never be back.

I came here because I had seen in reviews that they had Live Football. Unfortunately they do not have Champions League games, I had come hoping to watch a semi final but they don’t have it. I would have been happy enough to have a couple of pints and keep track of what’s happening in the game on my mobile phone but I didn’t even get enough signal in there to send a text message. I asked if they had Wi-Fi but they do not. Even most small cafes now have wi-fi, especially in a place where mobiles don’t work. Walked up to the Wetherspoon so at least I can get the football scores.

Booking made for food and drinks for five people for Hogmanay on 3 December. Received email on 30 December checking that we would still be attending which was confirmed. Arrived to be told that the kitchen was closed - no explanation given. There was no one in the place - says it all. The Balencrieff next door were thankfully able to accommodate us. Give Urban Cocktail Kitchen a miss - I won't be back.

A friend of mine ordered from you and the food what he had tasted rotten like out of date eggs so get the place cleaned up and get better food in place

Very pleased with fast home delivery. Both Pizzas perfect and tasty. Am so pleased with prompt response to refunding my money as delivery man was not sure if his phone swiping working. That was so respectful and honest of you. Thank you .Still good people in this world .

I popped into Pizza Hut for a takeaway. I was greeted and served by Danielle. She was very friendly and attentive. Danielle was telling me about the meal deals they have and I ended up saving some money on my takeaway. It was lovely to have someone so cheery and lovely to go through the options and give me the best deal. I will definitely be back because of Danielle and the other staff that were so lovely and chatty as it made me feel so welcomed.

Great drinks and snacks. Service good too. Pricing not bad. Mocha is excellent. Definitely a good coffee stop, plus great shop.

We love Costa. Probably our first choice for coffee. Unfortunately the service in this particular Costa branch is the worst. Staff ignored the guest and very rude. Act like they don’t care in service. Busy with chit chatting.

First time here . Opening day for new management and looking at these photos its like a totally different place. Food was lovely, Coffee superb. Didn't realise they had an undercover area oustide at front and a garden at rear so will be a regular stop for me when out with my Dog

I ordered honey sesame chicken and was given sweet and sour. I called to have it swapped for the correct dish which was delivered and the new dish I received was floating in a thin, watery sauce. I’m sorely disappointed and I’ve wasted my money. I wasn’t going to call up a second time to have the issue sorted again as it shouldn’t have happened twice.

As a regular customer of this fine establishment, I can definitely say that the 5 item breakfast is superb, it fills you up for the day & is freshly cooked whilst you wait. Also, the prices are very good. If this was a Michelin star rating, I would give it 5. Also, I booked a table for 12 here & the service was awesome. If there are any Tourists reading this & are thinking of coming to Bonny Scotland for your vacation, I can highly recommended Ladywell as a fine traditional Scottish area, from the stunning Architecture of the high rise flats & the Jaunty garages, to the wee chemist in Fernbank & the shops also in Fernbank. Pull a board off the window of the Ferns pub & help yourself to a welcoming drink. But yes, the Burger Box is a great wee thing.

Food arrived stone cold. Refused a refund saying it wasn’t possible. Avoid!

Pizza was burnt and thats all you could taste. Curry sauce was very watery and tasteless.
