The best restaurants in West Lothian Edinburgh and Lothian

First time using them and waited for two hours and twenty minutes. Wouldn't answer the phone, etc. The quality of the food was terrible, very rushed, and the chow mein had a burnt taste. First and last time I would use them.

Extremely poor service and staff trying there best the the manager ie the boss extremely nasty no proper service if you look hot you get service first a friend said she was not allowed in the urban because she was in wheelchair told really

The coffee is the best !!!! ( way better than any of the other well-known coffee outlets). Food is delicious ! BUT - premises are grubby and toilet is dirty and cramped and in need of refurbishment !!!!

Working in retail, I always preorder my food to arrive within my allocated lunch hour. Not only did I order 2 hours in advanced, but my order was also accepted and acknowledged at this time too. However it still arrived an hour late (3 hours post ordering) and was only set to preparing after contacting customer services.

Last night's delivery... Crispy shredded beef... Container half full. I ordered chips f/rice curry sauce... No curry sauce. Pinned right away but they had closed... Rice was ok though 😡

I ordered food, when I phoned back up to ask when it ill be here a woman ok the phone told me I t was leaving now. However 35 minutes later ( when I only stay a 5 min drive away) the food is turned up freezing cold. When I called back to complain the woman was extremely rude ans I could hear the chefs shouting in the background back to qhat she was saying. I asked the woman how it would be fixed, and was told there is nothing she is willing to do to fix it. Not even offering a discount or replacement. She then said I cant help you and proceeded to hang up without saying bye also

Shelves wèll stocked. Staff friendly and helpful. All staff take time to get to know their customers and ask about your partner if they haven't seen them with you for a few visits.

Order that was delivered was wrong!!!!

Good food, I like the burgers and fried pizza. Can fit 3 of your fingers into the burger and it holds up pretty good!

Had a lovely meal with excellent service from John and staff. Thanks for the birthday excitment for our sister.

Not I was far from impressed with Nando’s in Livingston. At 18:45 we were shown to our table and immediately told how many options were off the menu. How can a massive chain run out of food so soon? We were then given tumblers for our bottomless drink. The area where the drinks were only about two lights worked so it was hard to read the varieties of drinks. Secondly you could barely read the sauce options. How can a massive chain not get an electrician to fix that problem? I was told later they haven’t been working for a while. The wait for food in a not so busy restaurant was well over half an hour. The rainbow slaw was fairly dry. Not a good experience. .

Ordered chicken curry tonight and it was disgusting 🤢 I don’t know what was in it but it certainly wasn’t chicken! It was very slimy and unbeatable! Prawn Crackers were also soggy! Will never use this place again !

Unfortunately caught them handling all the food with bare hands — after touching money, too. Used to order from here a lot but that horrified me and would never go back unless they implemented proper staff training.

It was over an hour late, but at least when it arrived it was vile.

Booking made for food and drinks for five people for Hogmanay on 3 December. Received email on 30 December checking that we would still be attending which was confirmed. Arrived to be told that the kitchen was closed - no explanation given. There was no one in the place - says it all. The Balencrieff next door were thankfully able to accommodate us. Give Urban Cocktail Kitchen a miss - I won't be back.
