China Palace in West Lothian

I ordered honey sesame chicken and was given sweet and sour. I called to have it swapped for the correct dish which was delivered and the new dish I received was floating in a thin, watery sauce. I’m sorely disappointed and I’ve wasted my money. I wasn’t going to call up a second time to have the issue sorted again as it shouldn’t have happened twice.

has to be without doubt the worst meal i have ever had , crispy chicken and crispy beef ??? only way to describe them is a soggy uncooked mess . would never go there again . It only took less than 5 minutes to prepare our take away so it is without doubt all done in a microwave and for £23.30 i would expect better. needless to say i will not be using them again China palace you use to be the best not anymore thanks for the disgusting meal

This place had the most amazing curry sauce, wasn’t like any other Chinese curry sauce that I’ve ever tried. Fair play it’s been a good few years since I last was in the area but I recently got a chicken curry and it wasn’t the same sauce. Have they changed owners or cooks? Pretty disappointed as the curry I had was pretty bland.

After 1 hour and 35 minutes of waiting for a delivery, we phoned to ask where it was ( we were told it would be delivered within the hour ). They said it was "on the way" and they would chase up the delivery driver. I don` think it was his fault as they sent him to the same street name - but in a different town ! !. Considering they asked for my Postcode, I can`t understand this pathetic decision. Anyway. We did receive the meal at 1 hour and 55 minutes. The chinese is exactly 2.8 miles away and by car takes 6 minutes. I could have walked it in the 2 hours.My chicken fried rice was bland. Rice was as dry as sand from the Sahara desert, I only had 3 chewy bits of chicken ( but only spat out 1 bit ) and the soy sauce seemed to have fallen into a tub of salt as it was disgustingly salty. NEVER will use them again and hope they do lose customers with their pathetic attitude to their customers. ... plenty other chinese takeaways to chose from anyway .

China palace re-opened last night for pick up and deliveries and since its our favourite one decided to order yesterday and once again not disappointed plenty to eat and piping hot and tasty well done china palace keep up the good work

Ordered £100 worth of meals fir saturday night 6th july delivered when i asked for it and did not disappoint loads to eat with some extras put in like spring rolls and sesame toasts my guests thoroughly enjoyed the food. We were celebrating my husbands 65th birthday and could not fault any of the food thank you china palace

Absolutely faultless. Crispy fried beef, chicken and mango, chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce, two fried rice - Fed three adults for about £17. All the dishes were hot and delicious. Highly Recommended.

Waited 55mins on a delivery got phone back no chicken cancelled order thought give them a try even though 4pound more than my usual Chinese in pumpherston never again

We have been faithful customers for years as the food is the best Chinese takeaway in Livingston in our humble opinion. Over recent times we have been overcharged every visit. When taken to task, we were informed that they had increased their prices: for several weeks, customers were charged the higher prices in their computer system but ALL their displayed menus were at the lower rate. We couldn't really be the only customers querying this. When we asked why, our bills were adjusted. It took them two months to produce new menus. In the meantime, every customer was charged more than the advertised price. Trading Standards comes to mind. A similar position was taken over the 5 pence bag charge, regardless whether or not you used your own bag or the 5p bag. Now with the introduction of minimum unit price for alcohol next month, they are removing the free wine with orders over £35. After placing orders, you are advised that the wine is out of stock. Instead you can choose between 2 free bags of prawn crackers or bottles of juice: not quite the same incentive value. It is such a pity that your good food is being spoilt by your drive to maximise takings rather than consider customers and find another solution. With entry level wine, minimum unit price for alcohol will have little effect. The wine incentive is to encourage customers to order more food thus maximise income rather than how cheaply you can buy wine. We will give it serious consideration whether to continue giving you our custom.

He utilizado este llevar durante años y nos encanta. Última noche colocó una gran orden y en ese orden fue 3 Pollo y brócoli en salsa de ostras, un plato que consiga regularmente. Nos dieron tres Pollo y cebolla sin brócoli y casi sin salsa y era insípida y horrible. Llamé y me dijeron que eso es lo que pedimos. Bien, nosotros, junto con mis hijos cuatro hogares los usan todo el tiempo, pero no más. Has perdido una buena regular leales clientes nombre Begg. ☹ ️

Maybe I just had a bad experience or ordered the wrong thing but this is the worst Chinese takeaway I've had in my life! The ribs were dry, the crispy beef was like pieces of tiny batter with no meat, there was no sauce with it either. Even their chips were average. I ended up chucking the lot in the bin! Waste of money and I'm still hungry! If I could give a zero rating I would.

We've tried most take away places in and around Livingston and we all agree that this is far and away the best! The order is always correct, prompt, freshly cooked, hot and tasty. Okay, it's not the most attractive building in the most desirable area but who cares about that when the food is great! Well done China Palace, we are some of your loyal customers!

Have tried alot of Chinese takeaways in Livingston and this is by far the best. Always tasty hot food my favourite is Chicken and Pinapple and their curry is amazing! I have told friends about thwm also and niw they are hooked too. Please stay this way China Palace! ❤

Ok its not a very fancy looking place- its a hole in a wall, but loving chinese food, thought' give it a go' as I was passing. Never again, this was chicken and beansprouts, with a sort of 'barbecue' type sauce just tipped on top of it. Nothing like any chow mein ive ever had, or want to have again. Bluegh! I usually go to the Calder Villa a mile away in mid calder. Sorry I doubted you Calder Villa! Im coming back to you!

It was only recently that I realised that different friends in Livingston were actually using the same Chinese restaurant for a Take Away.The crispy aromatic duck is truly excellent but the different fried rice meals on their extensive, reasonably priced menu were tasty too.The deliveries were always prompt and,more importantly,accurate!

Best Chinese take away for miles nothing in west Lothian to match it try the chilli chips,shredded beef,in fact try it all,great takeaway been here forever same owners,simples

I really like this place for take out delivery. I love their chilli chips. I was a wee bit annoyed last week when we ordered as I asked for two curry sauces plus one extra hot, but when it got delivered I only had two curry sauces when I wanted three and when I phoned to enquire about it I felt the woman who spoke to me was a bit aggressive and quick to charge me as a liar, but she obviously just didn't hear me right and I just politely explained that I would try to be more clearer next time a I order from them. I'm not going to let that one experience stop me ordering here though as I really enjoy the food.

Have being ordering form this place few times and decided to give it a review. I love their roast duck with the pancakes. Have also been sitting in few times with the family but it seems like more people prefer take away order due to luck of the atmosphere. Staff is always very friendly.

I've tried quite a few Chinese takeaways In Livingston & I've got to say this is one of the best! I've never been disappointed with my order the food is amazing. Quick delivery & food is always very hot. The woman on the desk is always so friendly. It really is a lovely takeaway.

Was hungry so I ordered takeaway from here and it was good. I like their soft noodles and curry sauce.
