Cafe Thorntons in West Lothian

Great drinks and snacks. Service good too. Pricing not bad. Mocha is excellent. Definitely a good coffee stop, plus great shop.

Due to how busy it was there were many unprepared tables, probably staff shortages. Coffees were great, toasted panini was really nice. Good location half way round the mall.

Went here for our first coffee/tea stop of the day and enjoyed the break. The drinks were good and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Was tempted by the chocolate but kindly gave it to my husband!

We went there for a late lunch on a Monday shopping trip. The staff were very nice and friendly and tried to help us make a choice by recommending us what they thought was nice but, being a vegetarian, I opted for the vegetarian panini. We had two paninis and a sandwich which were very good indeed as well as being good value. I really enjoyed the panini. We also got free Thorntons strawberry white chocolate each with our meal. The service was quick and the tables were cleaned up promptly after customers left. The only reason we didn't have cake was because we went into the Thornton shop next for some Thornton icecream. I would definitely go to this cafe again!

Took the weight off our feet and ordered The Hot Chocolate and an ice cream sundae . The Staff were friendly and quick in this busy cafe .Three Quarters of the tables were taken . There is a really good selection of ice creams to choose..The Hot Chocolate itself was to die for ,so rich and creamy absolutely superb .

Ordered a slice of cake and pot of tea. Service was good. Unfortunately cake was not fresh and tea was weak. Disappointed.

We stopped here for a quick, light lunch and we were delighted with the great service. The paninis were very good and we would definitely return.

Called here today for a coffee and sandwich. Service could not be faulted and the sandwiches were excellent, really well filled. Highly recommend

We had a lovely festive toastie and amazing hot chocolate.The price was very reasonable and we got free bag of crisps and chocolates.It was lunchtime and quite busy,but there was only two members of staff on,a young girl and a young guy and I have to say they were very friendly and very efficient.We had our lunch in no time and they kept the tables cleared and cleaned.Working in catering I know how hard it is to provide a service that will please people while under pressure,but they achieved that here.The good food was a bonus.Well done

Only one person at the till and serving but two people clearing tables...result - more than 17 minute wait in a queue of four!

Great place for a coffee or tea and e lite bite ,good range of sandwiches ,toasties and baguettes.great range of cakes and scones really friendly staff and not to expensive worth a visit

15 minute wait to get a coffee. Only 4 people in the queue in front of us. How can they be so slow? Particularly with five people working. Get a move on!

Good location handy for all the designer outlet shops. Reasonable coffee, reasonable price. A free chocolate with every coffee is a nice touch.

Went here for a coffee at just before 6 o`clock not informed at time they were closing soon. Never thought why we were given papercups,we didn`t ask for them. Sat down to have our coffee to be informed they were shutting soon. Really angry as if we knew that we would have gone else where for coffee. Response from staff was pathetic. If I had not been feeling unwell that day I would have demanded our money back as coffee is not cheap.

Yummy coffee here. After walking round the Shops a well deserved coffee and cake is most welcome. A good variety of snacks available!

Popped in for lunch while out shopping. Place was lovely and clean with a good selection of food and cake. Unfortunately our food was cold when it arrived,,,, but we were really impressed by the resulting events. Despite the fact we hadn't made any great fuss, the Manager took personal responsibility for resolving the situation and turned a potentially poor experience into a very positive one. It's easy for a mistake to be made, but how it's resolved makes a huge difference. I'm happy to call our experience as exceptional and we'll definitely be back.... Thanks Thorntons :)

My husband and I had soup and paninis which were tasty and reasonably priced. Ideal for a quick lunch whilst out shopping. Coffees come with a free Thornton’s chocolate which is a nice bonus.

Good food and coffee but service slow. Plenty places to sit both within and outwith the premises. Would return here as it is worth the wait.

Can be a bit hit and miss here. Don’t cater for specialist allergies unlike others e.g. no gluten free and often no soya milk

Good coffee served hot with a chocolate Always have managed to be seated not like other coffee shops near by always clean

Drinks come recommended, nice to indulge for a little while, some tasty desserts too, with the Thorntons touch.

En cualquier momento voy a Centro Livingston siempre comer aquí. Los bocadillos son muy buenas y te dan tu propio pequeño tetera de cerámica blanca y taza con platillo. También te dan un chocolate. . Que es un buen toque. A quien no le gusta el chocolate! :-) ha sido muchas veces y nunca he tenido una mala experiencia allí. Siempre está limpio y el personal es muy amable y servicial. Espero ansioso mi próxima visita allí.

Had soup and roll ....roll was brick hard couldnt eat it .Staff have cant be bothered attitude ..not comfy place to eat ...better places in Mcarthur Glen .

Very slow service even though there were more staff than customers, in fact the lady in front of me seemed to be served by 3 different members of staff, and even then they could not get her order right - they missed out charging her for a Panini and there were no stirrers for the coffee - we had to use straws and only 1 fork left in the cutlery trays. We had Hot Chocolate which was watery and not what you would expect to get from a Chocolatier.

It was a Saturday afternoon when we visited however the queue was very slow moving to say the least. Many people waiting gave up and went away. There were 2 staff serving but it seemed to take an inordinate length of time to finish one order - so the queue kept getting longer! My friend waited about 25/30 minutes to be served and when we got the coffees it was weak and not very warm. I had always liked this place but seems to have come to a grinding halt.

This cafe is tired and weary . It needs a total make over in its decor and layout if it hopes to stay competitive with other coffee shops in the centre. The staff seem unable to cope with any level busines and the long wait in line did not improve my mood . The coffee bkend is very average more on a supermarket cafeteria level than a specialist coffee shop. The cakes are good and patisseries save the day but really there are so many other better places around Livingston centre to relax for coffee / tea

During a wander round the outlet village we decided to have a coffee. This should only be a quick pit stop in your afternoon shopping....but it took ages to be served. There were about ten people in front of us....and each one ordering just seemed to take the staff ages to deal with. All looked a bit disjointed in organisation!!! Good selection of cakes and usual coffees. Snacks were like limited but it's more of a coffee stop than snack bar. Average prices....and to be fair to staff they were pleasant when we eventually got served!! Bug bear with all these places is tables not being cleaned as they become empty....but quite a clean place to pop in to. Temptation of the chocolate shop when you have finished. Mmmm!!

This was the first time we tried here for a coffee and it was excellent, the staff were friendly and it was comfortable and pleasant to relax with the free chocolate.

This is a nice change for a coffee shop from the regular Costa or Starbucks.Coffee is coffee I guess but this one is in a quieter location and has the added bonus of Thorntons chocolate treats being available.

Met friends for morning coffee and chat early am. Service was okay but no warm greeting was offered. Counter full of delights as one would expect from Thornton. Closer inspection revealed not so clean display stands, vast amounts of messy cake crumbs. Cafe floor was not swept properly from previous day and dried up spills evident. Cafe decor bright and cheerful but staff not so. Perhaps time for customer focus to be switched on, would we meet here again, don't know.

I loved the strawberry ice cream float.the strawberry tart was really nice.the service was really slow with only one young man making the drinks but I must admit worth waiting on

I totally love the great range of food this cafe delivers. I have been here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Staff are very friendly and as a bonus you get a complimentary chocolate. Will return very soon.

Situated at the far end of the designer outlet opposite the Next Outlet, the Thorntons Cafe has the attached choccy shop and 20ish tables, some of which are outside in the mall.Sandwiches, Panninis and Cakes on offer which are fine, usual hot drinks along the with "the most chocolately hot chocolate that you'll ever have" - which it is not!Service was terrible, 20 mins average in the queue and it is clear from the uncleared tables and service that the staff are completely overwhelmed.

The standard Thornton's shop of all those chocolate lovers staff are good and helpful when you can get one.

Nicely placed in the heart of the outlet village this is a very convenient place to stop for a snack. The service is a little slow - but does that really matter when you're out for the day shopping ? Today my wife and I had soup and it was beautiful. The staff, as ever, are very busy - but you'll not get friendlier service anywhere. If you're really important and busy walk by - but if you've got the chance for a liesurely snack it's hard to beat.

アウトレットでショッピングしたあとに休憩でよりました。場所はアウトレット内でも一番奥まったところにあり、隣にチョコレート専門店もあります。メニューはショコラティエらしくホットチョコレートをおしているようです。今回はホワイトバニラチョコ（￡2.89）モカ（￡3.19）アップルデニッシュ（￡1.89）を選びました。ホットチョコにマシュマロを入れるか聞かれたので、入れてみました。飲み物が出てくるまでにやや時間がかかりますが、店内はゆったりしているのでゆっくりできました。サービスでついたチョコがさすがにおいしかったです

Went with hubby for pit stop. Toastie was lovely. Hubby hot chocolate was cold but the service ..Lovely young lassies but my goodness slow slow slow. I stood in queue for 25 mins and only 2 ib front me. Wont rush back

My partner and I used to go to this outlet on a regular basis. The staff were fantastic apart from the grumpy manageress. the coffee was great and it was a nice place to go. Unfortunately this outlet has gone downhill. the coffee is of poor quality and flavour . The unit itself could do with a makeover. and some of the staff could do with new uniforms. would not recommend this Café.

We used to go there on a regular basis. The staff were always friendly. The coffee was good. and the café area was always clean. Don't know what happened but all the regular staff disappeared and the coffee be came very weak. Hot milk knocked silly. Poor show for such an outlet.

we always stop here for a Latte & a bite to eat, sometimes when it's busy it feels a bit cramped inside so we choose to sit outside

while out shopping went in for a tea and cake, mmmmmm tea and lemon torte lovely the staff were very friendly and helpful , with every order you're given two chocolates what more can one say but Heaven

stopped off for a recharge of batteries whilst christmas shopping & expected the cafe at Thorntons in Livingston Designer Outlet to be of the usual Thorntons standard. whilst the place was extremly busy, my latte was very cool, my friends tea was tepid & she doesn't take milk. We both chose scones which were ok. I hope on my next visit if I stop by for a refreshment the experience will be better.
