Breakfast came out and it was cold, black pudding was missing from one of the breakfasts, when we asked for it the breakfast was nearly finished by the time it came out. Second time I have been here and been disappointed on both occasions. Won't be back, definitely not worth the money.

I've eaten here a fair few times and the food has also been consistently good, and the service ok. However, 4 of us went for dinner Sat 31/08, and the food was ok (some main dishes are a bot overpriced for what you get), BUT the service was shocking. We arrived at 7.30pm for our 7.30pm reservation. Waited a good 15 mins 7 had to keep waving to order drinks. Took them a wee while to take food orders too. I was the only one who had a started (big mistake). We basically then waited until 8.50pm when our mains were served. We very nearly stood up & walked out. Then we had to chase the bill - the staff who were on knew we were unhappy, and deducted the price of 2 drinks from our bill, but there was no communication when we paid the bill, no 'I'm sorry, we're short staffed' or anything like that. My 3 friends had never been here before & are very unlikely to return having got such a poor initial impression. As for me, I probably will return, but if the service hasn't vastly improved, that'll be the final time.

This bar is great for both Birthdays and Sports! I came here on the Carabao Cup Final day for lunch and it was a great experience other than the Tv had a bad view from the table right of the door! The toilets are very clean and sanitary, and our lunch was very large and filling. The food was delicious, especially dessert and I would come here again, behind Italian restaurants! Lovely.

I wouldn’t have know this cafe was there as it is so well hidden from sight, but it is well worth looking for if you are after somewhere with all the basic essentials. It is more works canteen than top end coffee shop, but it’s spacious, warm, and is inexpensive. A great place to take children without fear of them upsetting anyone or breaking something valuable! The staff are worth a special mention. Friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Ordered 2 Fish Suppers. Service was quick. Fish was freshly cooked but the batter wasn't crisp. Chips were soggy. 'I'm no expert' but I think an oil change may be needed. At £8.50 each, it was edible & reasonable value.

Go there regularly and both food and service are always top rated. The menu is simple and food always fresh.Yhe home bakes are the best in Linlithgow.

I have bought pies and bridies from Oliphants for over 50 years and for the last forty it has been my must stop when back visiting. Having bought as usual the first since covid I am total disgusted with the quality. You should be ashamed to call them Oliphant pies

As in the title. The fish had a nice, crispy batter. Quick service, tv while waiting, they do deliveries

Unfortunately, really not impressed with this place. We went here because their website said they were doing the "eat out to help out" scheme. We were charged full price. When I questioned it, I was met with a confused "no?". Also, a massive GDPR issue for me. Beside the till, was a list that we put our name and number on for track and trace. I could quite clearly see everyone's details, just left on the counter for anyone to see! Honestly, online this place looked so great, but it was a disappointing reality. The muffins were average. Like nothing special. I was really surprised at the prices of things. Like almost a fiver for a small cheese toasty, which, again, was nothing to write home about. Also my coffee was very bland. Normally coffee is a bit bitter for me, so I take sugar, but not with this. Was pretty tasteless. I doubt I'll be going back here.

On arrival at the hotel the reception was clean and modern the bar/restaurant was also modern that was only area money has been spent on we got to our room and were surprised to see how outdated it was threadbare carpet holes in walls dirty walls the bathroom fan hadn’t been dusted for months by the look of it also our windows didn’t open which I’m sure is against fire regulations, got up in the morning to go out and was greeted by the smell of cooking coming from the other rooms that were occupied by refugees that the hotel didn’t tell us about which would of put us off staying there we arrived back at the hotel later that night to find the corridor leading to our room filled with people blocking our way and blatantly dealing drugs to each other we had our 4 year old daughter with us who wasn’t very keen on staying after walking through that situation all in all for £144 a night this hotel should be ashamed of itself.
