Been into Mall Cafe loads of times recently. I think it’s my son’s favourite place to eat now! Staff all very good as is the food with plenty of choice. Reasonably priced too for what you get. I’m sure we will be back again very soon!

My wife and I come up to Scotland every few months to visit my mum and this is always a place that we know that we can take her for a good meal, which will not cost the Earth. The reasonably priced food is always warm and tasty, the staff friendly and the cafe always looks clean and tidy, so just an all-round great place to stop off for a bite to eat in nice surroundings.

My wife, sister and myself had lunch in the café and it was such a nice experience that we would definitely eat here again. The place is kept immaculate, staff are friendly and welcoming, food reasonably priced and tastes great, so just a thoroughly great place to eat.

Very clean, fresh tasty food with very good choice. Fast, friendly service. Usually quite busy. Plenty space so ideal for wheelchair users.

I took my 2 boys for a wee lunch and honestly couldn't fault it. Basic yes but when u have a child who just wants a plain cheese & bacon burger with no extras, it's perfect!! I had the chicken salad wrap which came with salad, coleslaw and tortilla chips and my other lad had a chicken burger and said it was "banging"!! Very reasonably priced too.m I'd definitely go back and would recommend.

Had a lovely lunch in here yesterday, plenty of space for my baby boys prams and to move about. Food was quick been served, good value for money we had the burger and brunch meal both were fab. Staff very attentive, will pop in again when shopping

Been several times and found it good value for money. Steak pie is just lovely. Always seems to be busy but staff work hard and service is quick

I had the ham and pineapple salad which is very tasty. Although the venue was exceptionally busy all the staff coped very well. Would recommend this place.

Had a Lorne sausage roll and a pot of tea for one when Xmas shopping. Service was quick and the teapot held one and a half cups of tea. Very reasonable priced at £3.80.

Quick bite to eat. After finally deciding to go into the Mall Cafe we were left disappointed. Kids snack - Beans and toast and a glass of water. Sounds easy but water was warm, toast was cold and soggy and beans were cold. Wont be back again after a disappointing meal....

been here a couble off time for lunch it quit nice staff friendly can be bit slow and do fine afew meals abit dear for what you get compared to others places but it can be very busy and a injoyable meal

Mall caresses a tremendous breakfast and is reasonably priced. The full breakfast is to be recommended as it comes with eggs,bAcon ,sausages and black pudding. Sets you up for the day

Had a nice lunch here. Went for the soup and sandwich combo with a pot of tea. Great value! Soup homemade and sandwich had a great amount of filling. Busy wee cafe, staff friendly and helpful too.

Regularly go here to this cafe , always get a seat and good food at reasonable prices ( good all day brunch ) I’m Always happy with service

We go here a lot. Nice food. Good staff. Reasonable price. Great to find a nice traditional cafe in an age of pretentious gourmet food. You can even still ask for 'coffee' with having to give it a stupid name :-)

Food was not brilliant all - just okay but most definitely overpriced. The staff were lovely though. This place could probably do a bomb at lunchtime if they brought their prices down and competed with the like of Greig's etc.

We went into the Mall Cafe for breakfast on one of the mornings on our recent visit to Livingston. The food was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the experience very much, many thanks.

Went for lunch fish was disgusting not worth the cost better at Mac Donald’s will never return. Complete waste of money avoid at all costs.

Excellent meal service good portion size good light snacks available for lighter bites - recommend the toasties- have visited a few times and will be back

Lovely home cooked food here, friendly staff, with great desserts, and plenty to take away if you more for afters.

This is our second visit to this cafe/bar as usual it was up to its high standard Lentil soup and sandwich was fab

Always clean and tidy with pleasant staff. Ideal stop for a coffee and a light snack. Soups always good.

Todo estaba muy ocupado ya que era festivo. Es que una buena razón por la mala comida de calidad? Nos pareció que el servicio era bueno. . Nos nuestro menú, bebidas y comida bastante rápidamente, teniendo en cuenta lo lleno que estaba. Pero la calidad de la comida era muy mala. Teníamos pescado y patatas fritas (nos informaron de que se había acabado de hamburguesas). No se podía comer el pescado era tan quemados. Con hambre y no volveré.

It's great to find a wee cafe where you can get good food at a reasonable price friendly and quick service

Una delicia y como regular Sábado el café siempre está lleno, no soy la única para disfrutar de la experiencia. El centro comercial es el tamaño justo, pero si tienes un apetito probar la doble característica del lugar de la mañana, el personal es amable y nunca están demasiado ocupados para charlar.

Metimos en el centro comercial de café hoy como una primera visita. lugar estaba muy concurrido a la hora del almuerzo. Mi mujer, que es un chef tenía el macaroni, que era preciosa y casero. Bien merece una visita si estás en Livingston

Por primera vez en aquí. Personal encantador lugar muy amable y servicial. La comida era fantástica. Lo recomiendo y volveré.

Tengo algunos cafés borrachos ridículamente caros en cafeterías y bares de todo el mundo, pero he tenido la mejor café que era la mejor que he probado nunca. Servido con una sonrisa en mi centro local veían muchos. No acostumbro dejar un montón de comentarios para cafés pero el café y el servicio era tan bueno que sería grosero no!

Very handy while on a shopping trip, the food was served hot and not to long a wait for it, so didn't waste to much time from our shopping trip, the staff were helpful and pleasant, clearly explaining choices available, well thought out menu with plenty of food to suit everyone from tea and cake to a full meal, would eat here again.

Possibly one of the poorest excuses for lunch yet. We had tea and coffee to start, the tea was weak and the coffee wasn't much better, this was followed by fish and chips with salad. The fish was overcooked and lost within it's coating of breadcrumbs, the chips (all 15 of them) were very dry and almost inedible. This was rounded up by a bill for around 18pounds, Shocking.Many other places to eat within the center so my advice is simply, to avoid dissapointment, avoid the mall cafe bar.

Used to go here fairly regular for breakfast. But the last two times its just been,,, off the boil. The portions are smaller, its not so well cooked. Bacon was like leather, cremated leather at that. The baked beans were stewed and the rest was cold. Will not be back again.

Came in here to meet family for a quick lunch and catch up.Not been in for a very long time, don't think I'll be back. Not sure what's happened if it's new management, but simply not as good as it used to be.We were given menu's and then left sitting for ages waiting to order. At least 4 other tables who arrived after us were served first, we had to ask a waitress if she could take our order. All the other tables served before us were very chatty and in my opinion could have been regular customers so we're served before others, not a great advert in my opinion.Again waited for much longer than we should have for the food to be delivered and when it was delivered it was the wrong food. Again catching the waitress's eye and asked for the manager. He appeared, apologised and then returned very quickly with our food and fresh pots of tea.Nice touch with the fresh tea, however not enough to make me want to return.Food was very ordinary,Service was almost non existent and they still expected full payment of the bill. It's not often I do this, but I never left a tip of any description.Again, sorry about this, but I don't think I'll be back. Shame really, it used to be a nice place.

Went here today for breakfast bill was £15 the latte was cold with crushed coffee beans at the bottom. Horrible! I told the waiter he said yes it's bean to cup I said bean to grit. Ordered 2 £4.50 breakfasts 1 Tattie scone 2 eggs 2 links toast with butter and marmalade flung on the table not on a plate, and bacon that would crack your teeth, burnt and brick hard, Disgusting, orange juice was curdled also.I won't be back ever first and last time so don't waste your time on this overpriced food.The place was clean though.

Dont waste your time and money eating in this place . Food dreadful and service poor and slow .I feel strongly that we customers have the right to expect more that what this place has to offer .

I have been here many a time over the last few years and I'm pleased to say that eveytime I go I 'm not disappointed.It has been a place my school friend and i go to for lunch and a good natter. The food is always well presented and the staff are very helpful, I also have been with my husband a few times in the morning, popping in for some breakfast once we have dropped off our kids at school, again the food is good and value for money. Not a bad wee place at all .

Well after my wife saying this place was good, it wasn't.The frozen HALF a fish fillet was very thick with batter and had to be fried to death in order I guess to cook the small piece of fish hidden inside. So it was fried far too much and served nearly brown/black and dripping with oil/grease.Small portion of frozen chips with what was supposed to be a salad made up the remainder of the dish,Not impressed at all and think I will stick to more established eateries along the mall a bit and every bit as competitively priced!Sorry to say but I won't be rushing back to this Cafe anytime soon. Near £40 of my hard earned cash wasted.

It's the first time I've been.the food was good and the prices were reasonable all the food was hot and tasty. Staff were helpful and it was a quick service. It was later in the luck period. Well done all.

We use the Mall regularly for breakfast, and I have to say the service, quality of food and value for money is second to none.We look forward to our next visit.Lylemac

It is easy to say the boss isn't in today, got a menu pretty quick..... And that was that. 3 waitresses standing doing nothing we kept looking over and they just stared back. When we got up to leave.... One sucked in at the wall laughing. Needless to say we left hungry

It was always a place I walked past without much notice. But today we decided to give it a try as it looked fairly quiet compared to elsewhere. I was very surprised and impressed. The burgers were delicious and cooked wonderfully, the staff were genuinely helpful and hard working. They were patient with a customer complaining she was charged for chips when she shouldn't have been. They were quick to clear tables and were quick to re arrange some tables to accommodate a larger group who had a wheelchair using customer also. Everything was clean and well presented and I will be back again for sure.

Fantastic food catered to every need. Nothing too much bother friendly helpful staff. Hot and cold meals and licensed too

Really good restaurant. Food really good. Great choice. Prices reasonable. Pleasant staff. Been here a few times and so far can't complain about food or service. Centrally located in Almondvale Centre. Usually a busy place which is a good sign. Janet S

During our regular shopping trips to Livingston Centre my wife and I enjoy having our lunch out and the Mall Cafe Bar is one of our favourite places to eat. The reasonably priced food is of a surprisingly high standard and the staff are attentive, efficient, helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We went here for the third time last week, in a group of three. The public area is very clean and the staff are customer focused. We all got the potato skins, with a side of chips. A pot of tea and some soft drinks. The food arrived in good time, hot and with extra items on the side.They have a very good menu, which includes light eats and full meals, all very well priced.I would recommend the potato skins, they are fab.We will be back soon.

Good service and good choices. The salads are huge. Desserts are good old traditional, chocolate fudge, cheesecakes etc.

Great place to eat if you are looking for something simple and cheap. I don't mean that to sound bad in any way. This is not a fine dining place to eat. It is a cheap place to eat, but this means the food is simple and good value for money.Simple snack or lunch style food is what we went for and it hit the mark, it also did not leave a huge hole in my wallet. We were looking for a quick snack lunch and that's exactly what we got. Great friendly service too.

i have only been to this mall cafe for breakfast and found it to be excellent value for money my husband and i had the scottish breakfast with toast and tea food was hot and freshly cooked reasonable prices good service

Lunch with sister, verge burger and chips cafe latte. Staff nice and friendly and so is the manager. Basic menu, bake potatoes, sandwiches,paninis etc

We had popped into a small coffee shop in the centre but the prices they were charging was shocking so we popped into the Mall Café and I am so glad we did, Cheap and cheerful, we had the £2.99 breakfasts which were tasty and most importantly hot! Service was great and the staff friendly. Will definitely go back.

Been to this restaurant few weeks ago and we had fish and chips. Fish was truly tasteless. Over cooked and too much crispy. Definitely not fresh. Probably from freezer. The chips were ok. Wouldn't recommend to anyone :(

I ordered three soups and had to wait 30 minets for them. And got a very rude waitress serving me. The soup was discusting and tastless. Had to wait an extra 10 mins for 1 latte 1 coffee 1 tea. Which all tasted horrible the bill was 15 pound i was not prepared to pay that for the terrible and rude service and food i got. The toliets were horrible and need a good clean. My advice would be to not go to this cafe because its crap.

I really hate having to give a poor review given that our visit was actually really good. Ordered two breakfasts with a drink each and the total came to just under £17. My view is, that's a bit expensive just for breakfast. The other reason is that my partner was told that they only had Coke on draught and no cans available. However, when we were leaving, the woman sat at the table behind us ordered a can of coke and was given ... A can of coke.

I go here for breakfast often with my friend, for only around £4 you get a fabby breakfast, friendly staff and hot food

i love the food in here it a favourite place to eat the mall brunch is amazing the burgers are great and their choices of sandwiches are served with side salad and a very nice coleslaw the home made soup is also very nice i am always spoiled for choice

We love this cafe service good and friendly. The food is also very good and value for money i feel. Kids enjoy and always busy when we go which means its doing well - will defo be back again.

Visited last Sunday breafast £2.99 was great, no fat on bacon.nicely presented, value for money & staff were friendly.Will definately be my first choice for brekkie when i visit the centre.

the service is excellent ,the food is superb, every time I visit we get a wave from the manager or he,s asking how your meal was. its a busy place and.. the tables are cleaned as soon as they are vacated.

I went here for breakfast last week, there were 5 of us including one child, servers very helpful and the food was cooked great, egg was runny and not a lot of fat on bacon, we all cleared our plate and will be back

This is at the budget end but although the prices are keen, the food is decent and does fine for a nice lunch on the go. The service is really good, the staff are helpful and lovely. I think the owner manages on site and is there serving with the staff, he's a lovely chap and really helpful. The service is on a level of a very fine restaurant so it's a good experience along with good value. We are regulars at this café.

Located in the centre of a large shopping mall, this establishment provides a menu full on wholesome family food! The quality is excellent and the service very good!

Great place to sit down and have a meal in to take you away from the hussle and bussle of the shops as the Mall is situated in a busy shopping center. Staff always on the go and very attentive.

Went for lunch here,wasn't really that hungry so wasn't looking for a huge amount of food,lunch menu has plenty to choose from,had a prawn salad which was standard,but server was a bit cold,felt no warmth from her at all,disappointed I couldn't have balsamic glaze with my salad which I feel nowadays is as popular a any other condiment,it was nice enough but the glaze would just have jussed it up a bit. Place was pretty clean though throughout,would et ther again as the prices were fantastic value for money
