Gran comida y gran servicio. No llegué hasta las 9 . 15 ish debido al trabajo, viaje de negocios en solitario, todavía muy servicial y me permitió sentarme donde quería. ¡Hizo que el Cordero Karahi se derritiera en la boca! El personal era genial, Prasant me sirvió junto con otros, pero su manera agradable era genial. Sin duda recomiendo y volveremos la próxima vez en Edimburgo

Great coffee and lovely view of the street. The staff are friendly. It does get very busy.

A lovely charming pub with nice staff. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there was a great group of around 5-6 Irish-Scottish musicians playing mostly Irish music (reels and jigs) and they were excellent. Don't know if they serve food.

Nice restaurant and nice atmosphere. My oysters didn’t seem right I ordered Whole lobster thermidor at £68. Very disappointed. It wasn’t whole. This lobster had no claws. It was dry and served on it own on a plate with a side tin of fries. No garnish to dress it up or make it look special. I didn’t complain because it would ruin the evening Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend The bottle of Rioja was nice. My wife’s dish looked lovely.

First time in The Bon Vivant for me and it was perfect. We went for lunch and the menu was enticing. Our son and daughter in law know the place well and pointed us to the small bites. It turned into a VERY long lunch as the small bites kept arriving and we hoovered them up accordingly,with a selection of beers and wines accompanying them. No way could anyone manage a main course after what we got through 😂 Thank you to our attentive waiter and waitress for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Now I'm off to Google to find a fasting regime!

The waiter couldn’t have been any better. Noah was the absolute best and he made sure my experience was a great one despite all odds. Great place

Great hotel. Convenient location. Clean and tidy rooms. Excellent shower. Warm, friendly service. Tasty breakfast. Baggage holding during the day. Early check-in available. Check-out is at midday. Many pubs and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to go for food and drinks with friends or colleagues.

Pensé que la libra adicional añadida para la leche de avena era un poco extrema teniendo en cuenta el precio ya, la tarta de zanahoria era muy bueno, aunque el desayuno BAP un poco escaso y solitario en el plato por el precio. La comida llegó muy rápido. bastante ocupado, pero el personal lo trató bien. No volvería a tomar un café y un pastel y evitaría momentos ocupados. Está muy céntrico. El cargo por servicio ya está agregado a la factura, lo que es una pena para el personal, ya que probablemente daría más propinas si esto no se hubiera asumido.

What a lovely little find. This little cafe is hidden down a little side street but well worth the visit. Freshly made food, good choice and it was all delicious. Soup and the massive tasty cheese scone and tuna cheez melt which was made with lovely fresh bread. Service also very good. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Ha sido un deseo mío venir aquí a cenar durante algún tiempo, y finalmente pude hacerlo con mi prometido mientras visitaba Edimburgo. Tuvimos una cena maravillosa, tuve el bacalao y las almejas y mi prometido tuvo el cordero. Ambos cocinados a la perfección, y acompañados de una encantadora botella de vino, elegido de una interesante carta de vinos. El servicio era excelente - atento y profesional y no tuvimos prisa. Ambiente encantador en el restaurante, y sin duda estábamos muy contentos de cenar allí. Gracias por una velada maravillosa

Excellent location and very well presented. Staff were great. We were placed at a table at the window with lovely view of Edinburgh. Unfortunately the room was so cold it ruined the whole experience. There also seemed to be a discrepancy between the menu we got and the one on the web site e.g. Butternut squash risotto

The safari lounge is ok. The food is pretty good, but the prices are very high. The place gets pretty busy and service delivery suffers as a result. Overall, I would not return and suggest it be skipped.
