Highly recommended! The "Elliot Special" pannino was the best pannino I've ever eaten. The price is reasonable. The restaurant is centrally located, and the service is friendly and fast.

Stopped by for dinner three days ago. The staff were friendly and engaging, and our waiter recommended the gambas, so we ordered that along with a slice of Basque burnt cheesecake.
The cheesecake was excellent and addictive, though the berries were a bit too sugary—maybe a chocolate alternative would work better. The gambas was really good, with fresh-tasting prawns and just the right amount of spice.
Cosy ambience and great service overall. A solid spot for dinner!

I was looking forward to try their 7course tasting menu since everyone here said it’s very good. It started off quite well because we were really impressed by the starter pork belly skewers. It was so juicy and tender. So we were kinda excited for the next few dishes. But unfortunately everything went downhill afterwards. Four of us ordered two wine pairing and two soft drink pairing.
I can only say terrible choice of wine. It’s basically matching red wine to red meat etc. somehow the paired wine ruined my dishes because it was just terrible and taste cheap.
Overall expensive was just so so.
Morrati manages to serve delicious pizza at an exceptional price that blows all of its' competitors out of the water. Really wish I gave this place a chance sooner because I no longer go anywhere else for pizza.

An incredible hotel, they even gave us a complimentary room upgrade to a suite. The whisky lounge was fascinating, and the service was outstanding to match.

My wife and I ate here in early February. We were advised that 2-3 small plates per person would be typical for dinner. We ordered 6 dishes: Chicken Schnitzel, Scallops, Arancini, Truffled Lasagne, Celeriac, and Halloumi.
Service was great, nice room and ambiance. The food looked and tasted great, but the portions were oh-so-small: 2 scallops (£18), 2 Arancini each the size of a golf ball (£14.50), 3 slices of halloumi with a few pomegranite seeds (£11.50) was particularly shocking. Our bill came to just over £100 (incl 1 beer and 1 small glass of wine) and we left the restaurant still feeling hungry, so only giving 3 stars becuase we felt the meal didn't represent good value for money.
In summary, nice place, good food, but as other reviewers point out, vastly overpriced for such meagre portions. We often do small plates dining and there are many comparable places in Edinburgh with great food where the value for money is far better (Fava, Baba, Tapas3 are examples), so in future we'll be taking our custom to those places.

Very very beautiful place, love the little room at the back. Very chill. I don't drink and there's little choice for me but it's understandable that it is mostly a wine bar.

Finally made it along to Kochchi, Edinburgh. It sits inside Bonnie & Wild in St James’s Quarter & it did not disappoint! We opted for two dishes and shared them both. The Chicken Kotthu and the Chicken Hopper. Our server offered an egg with each and we said yes. Both very flavoursome, with a little kick but not too overpowering. The Hopper comes in a sort of rice bowl, but the Kotthu was by far my favourite which I’d defo order again.
