I absolutely loved the staff and personnel working at this location.

Decor and experience both top notch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially Jenny at reception. She went out of her way on several occasions to help. What a joy. The location has great access to the city and station is convenient. The views over the city makes it extra special. A great place for a celebration event. Highly recommended and my new spot in Edinburgh for overnight stays.

We enjoyed our stay here while we toured Edinburgh. Iustina and Genny were super helpful getting us checked in and pointed to the right places. The room was clean and well laid out. The only issue was the bed which was “wonky” likely due to a topper. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. If only they could serve simple plain scrambled eggs. We tried twice but failed.

Fantastic and spacious rooms. High end hotel. My only complaint at all was the WiFi service; it was either not working or extremely slow. I really wanted to give this property five stars but could not based on the lack of even reasonably adequate WiFi service.

We went to the rooftop bar. It was lovely and the waiters were very kind. It was my girlfriend birthday and they brought a card and chocolate by surprise. Great views as well.

Small room no window, door to roof unlocked 4 days before locking, no a/c unit not working, no air movement.

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was excellent. Complimentary champagne at check in is a nice touch. Nice bar and terrace on 7th floor. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Really neat hotel near the main station and easy access to the sights. Quirky with reception on 7th floor alongside the bar/restaurant. Compact room (we booked knowing it was the smallest) which is quiet and we'll stocked. Free mini bar and Nespresso coffee machine is a huge bonus. Extremely comfortable bed and high end toiletries and equipment including a Dyson hairdryer. Staff Extremely polite and friendly. Prices are quite high but for a quality hotel cheaper than others we have used in City centres. We would stay here again if visiting Edinburgh on other occasions.

The best part of this hotel is the location and that's what the high price gets you mostly. It's pretty nice, but I didn't find the staff particularly welcoming or helpful and I didn't like that there was no lobby and no amenities. But again, it is in a prime location, which was very nice and convenient!

Market Street hotel was a wonderful place to stay in Edinburgh. It is perfectly situated between the old town and the new town. It is also right across the road from the train station. Be ready for a workout, getting to old town and the Royal Mile is all up hill. The breakfast here is amazing! The staff is super friendly. The rooms are small but extremely nice.

Had a one night stay and we had a great experience, room was stunning with a free mini fridge with a good selection of drinks, staff were very welcoming and friendly with a wee bubbly at check in? Would definitely use this top hotel again!

We highly recommend it! Hotel with an unbeatable location, large, impeccable rooms and everything you need. If I have to make a small criticism: our room did not have hooks to hang towels and the shower leaked a little water. But nothing serious. I would definitely come back :)

Stayed three nights when we arrived in Edinburgh (the first night may not count since we were jet lagged). Check in lobby is on the 7th floor which is also where the restaurant and bar are located. Easy check in process, room was a nice corner unit with a changing area and separate bedroom. The bed was set up as twins pulled together and although thin mattresses they were surprisingly comfortable. The shower is okay with two heads and the air conditioner was nice and cold. The breakfast each morning was delicious and was a great way to start the day. The entire staff of the hotel were fantastic and a big shoutout to the concierge, Myles (or Miles) who went above and beyond in multiple ways to create a great Scotland stay. He was extremely helpful in multiple ways. Peter who greeted us in the lobby (I think he is technically the hotel handyman) and we ran into him multiple times during our visit was super kind and welcoming. The dining staff were efficient and very kind. While the hotel team was a highlight… we also enjoyed the location. Near the Royal Mile, train station, Scott Memorial, and much more.

The hotel and rooms are fantastic. We are here in my spouse's hometown for a big milestone birthday at her preferred hotel, which I gave plenty of notes on, hoping for a little something extra. But zilch at the front desk or in our room. The bar staff saved the day, offering a little treat when, after asking why we were staying, told them it was a big birthday. Thank you!

We only stayed one night in Edinburgh and the hotel was very good, I highly recommend staying there. When I return without hesitation I will stay again. The service, food and rooms are very good.

We arrived Christmas morning 2023, and were greeted by two young women that were quite professional and welcoming. We checked into our room and there was a gift holiday cookies with a note welcoming us for the holiday. Such a very nice gesture. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel clean and staff exceptional. Great location too. I highly recommend this hotel. Sorry to do the review three months later. Thank you again for making our stay at the hotel a great one.

Great staff and property, although Market Street is a bit crazy to get in and out of if you drive.

Exceptional 1. First class attention since we arrived. 2. Perfect location literally steps from the train station. If you are not located in Edinburgh, it is right in the middle between new Edinburgh and old Edinburgh. 3. The room was super clean, first-class facilities, the bed was super comfortable. 4. Their 5⭐ hotel amenities, slippers, Nespresso coffee maker, minibar, if you are a woman you will love that they have a dryer (Dyson), iron, mirror with light, and full-length mirror. 5. They allowed us to store our luggage before check-in, they have bathrooms for you to change, beautiful, and super clean. 6. I didn't go to the bar, but its view is beautiful from the 7th floor. Excellent price quality, HIGHLY recommended

My review is an odd one but I wanted to make sure and give them some well deserved praise for their customer service. My husband and I didn’t get a chance to actually stay at the hotel but I initially booked our stay based on other reviews, newness/cleanliness of the rooms and proximity to the train. I did however experience their customer service via phone whilst canceling our stay, unfortunately. I’ve never been so sad not to stay at a hotel. The kindness, quickness, flexibility and accommodation I received made my heart swell and tears gather in my eyes. From an American who is not used to being treated so humanely - We will be back to Edinburgh at some point and I will 100% will be staying here. Thank you!

Stylish hotel in an unbeatably central/convenient location for both the Old Town and the New Town. Really nice touches throughout (e.g. Dyson hair dryers, umbrellas for guest use in all the rooms, Roberts bluetooth speakers, excellent complimentary mini bars).

Best hotel stay I have had that I can remember. The room was immaculately cleaned and serviced daily. The maid service was the best part! Very quiet for such a great location. Quick check in and out. Wonderful complimentary snacks and drinks. Loved the soap smells. 10/10.

Had a few issues with this hotel but after initially getting nowhere with the staff, we did receive a letter back from the manager who took all our points on board leaving us assured that they would be addressed. Few small house keeping issues, broken door, flickering lights and a kettle that was too big to get under the tap to fill. All quite minor but still annoying. Major issue was a smell of sewage in the room. Reported to the reception who seemed very familiar with the issue in the bathroom. This wasn’t resolved before we checked out. Overall a lovely hotel, but with a little lack of maintenance . Great location 2 mins from Waverley station. Would stay again, but will be checking before unpacking our bags
