First visit here a few weeks ago and it’s as lovely inside as the restaurant is from the outside. The staff were so friendly, the food was delicious and they do a real good Aperol spritz!
I particularly loved how every table was spaced out so whilst the place was full and buzzing, you weren’t sat on top of each other. I’d definitely recommend and will definitely be back ✨
I usually don't write reviews, but I really liked this place. Went in for a Scottish breakfast and it was lovely. Staff was super friendly. Great atmosphere to sit with a hot chocolate after breakfast to read my book.
A great place if you want to mingle with locals!
The staff are adorable!
The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious! Between the filled omelette, the full Scottish breakfast and the full Turkish breakfast, we don't know what to choose!
In addition, you will have the chance to chat with Mr George, an adorable regular here for 12 years!
Fantastic little shop with so many amazing sweets. Having read other reviews I don’t know if we caught the owner on a bad day as he was a little rude asking why we’d left it until 4.50 to visit and making us feel like we were too much trouble. His wife? On the other hand rectified how he made us feel she was kind and welcoming. If we’d know they were there we probably would have visited earlier in the day but we’d only just arrived in Edinburgh and walked by and saw the shop. Still a fab little place and definitely worth a visit !!

It is a very nice experience. There are different tour types. The silver tour takes about 1 hour. It is a great place visually. It talks about whiskey production and its history. The explanations and presentations in English are very nice. There are 20 language options but unfortunately there is no Turkish. I hope the Turkish language option is added. If you have come here, I recommend you to experience it.
We had a lovely evening - meal delicious, grandsons loved it as did their 80 year old papa! Service was perfect - delightful young waitress and the ‘meat servers’ were charming too!

Situated LG in St James Quarter. Amazing atmosphere, great food! 5 stars.
Returning in 2025 to update review. I am yet to have Tom Yum soup as amazing as this restaurant.

I wish there was a way to give six starts for atmosphere. The owner / manager is very friendly and loves to chat and when I visited (Saturday evening) there was a winston churchill impersonator walking around the tables and entertaining guests. It is unusual to find a family run restaurant in the middle of Edinburgh but here it is. Paneer pakora was excellent.
This the second time i took my family there.
Newly opened place , it was busy , got a table quickly. The service was excellent and quick, that was then , and now , still busy , extra loud .
Found my self shouting my order to so someone who clearly could understand my accent. Then a really long wait for the starters.
Then to get someone's attention was complete mission. I had 3 different people where our food was ! When it came it was cold , I didn't complain . I just eat it . Service terrible and slow .
Had a terrific, rapidly delivered meal from Pataka tonight.
Mixed starter, pakora, pathia, butter chicken and sides, he'll even the salad was much better than most places.
All really tasty, came super quick, best delivery we've had in a decade from all the local Indian take aways!!!
