Bad experience with the manager who cancel our order while it was served because my 7 years old son brought fries from other shop.

Food was delicious . Cater to vegan diets and intolerance. Starters and mains came all together. Kids plain noodles and soy sauce didn’t come with the broccoli we had ordered but could have been a miss communication between waiter and ourselves. We’ve been a few times and always loved the food. Service was great. My daughter loved her balloon 😊 Thanks for a lovely lunch. 💛

Great ambience, nice staff and there was a nice seat in the upper part of the restaurant, away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurant! Rice dishes and pasta dishes can be recommended!

They took my order and after 30 minutes they remembered that we existed and brought a cold curry and they didn't complete the order because we ordered other dishes and they never arrived.

Everything was sooooo good, from the atmosphere to service and the food! If I could give 10 stars, I would. We were very satisfied. Staff were full of smiles and were helpful ❤️ The tom yum soup was delicious and I loved the pad thai too. Will be back again in the future. Food is halal. Ps: we're from the Netherlands, and even the Thai cafe we frequent, cooked by Thai women, aren't this delicious!!! Please open a restaurant here in the NL! 😊

I had an amazing dining experience with dishes that were truly a must-try! The Pad Thai Satay Chicken, Crispy Spring Rolls, and Thairacha Prawns were all flavorful and delicious. The service was exceptional, especially from Sindhu, who provided excellent suggestions and was attentive throughout. Her warm and friendly behavior really enhanced the meal. The restaurant offers great value for money, and I’ll definitely be visiting again, this time with more friends. Highly recommended!

Thai Express Kitchen offers delicious, authentic Thai food with bold flavors. The Pad Thai was especially tasty. Our waitress Sindhu was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This is one of those places that's got everything right. From really cute and colorful atmosphere to a well designed menu filled with rich and layered flavors. Staff were incredibly nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend the Chilli chilli Bangkok 😋

Just to make you aware my server was called Vili a chap from Fugi. He was the most attentive server I have ever had. The restaurant is very clean, food fresh and yummy all round a great experience I reported all of this to Claudia your manager, who asked me if I would mind to leave a review. Great Thai food. Simple as that.

Modern, if you take a closer look, some of the furnishings are not really clean. The service employees take their time. The food is anything but authentic Thai cuisine. Price/performance is not right. Danger! A 10% service charge is automatically added to the price, even if you don't want it.

The starters were excellent but for the price some prawn crackers for free would take the sting out of the cost. Almost £3 for 5 prawn crackers? I had fried rice with battered chicken, it was tasteless, some of the rice was stuck together and the chicken was hard, overcooked or reheated. My partner had pad Thai which he said was good. The meal was expensive for the portion sizes. There is a well known Japanese style chain restaurant that does a much better pad Thai and fried rices dishes than here and it’s slightly cheaper too.

The rice noodle doesn't be cooked enough time which tastes raw and hard. I feel stomachache after the rice noodle. However the service is very good

Lovely place tucked into a corner of St James Quarter. Would highly recommend. Service was great, waiters were very nice (shout out to Adhi) and food was excellent.

Added the service charge without asking. If waitress ask is everything is OK? and I say yes that doesn't mean I want to pay extra 10%. But since It was my girlfriends birthday I didn't want to make a fuss. It's unprofessional way of doing business.

I ordered in, the food took more an hour to get to me and most of it was cold. The food quality is not good, the protein portion is very small, it is blend, fat and basically not tasty. I will never order there again, nor I’d recommend it to anyone else.

I like the thai fried rice because of the pineapple. Sometimes it can be crowded, but is usually not that busy.

Super yummy food, a little busy but service is punctual and attentive. The polish waitress Milena was very nice to us and guided us with the menu.

Halal. Except for chicken dumplings. The rest of food on the menu is HALAL. BUT... Totally NOT Thai food. Don't be fooled. This is not what Thai food tastes like! MSG loaded! They put soy sauce on every dish! Nice deco and friendly staff. Nicely presented food but not authentic Thai food. MSG and soy sauce overloaded!

I always enjoy the service at this restaurant even more than the food. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome, ensuring you never feel awkward or alone. My meals have always arrived promptly, and after dining here several times, I've had the pleasure of being served by Vidhu, a waiter with incredible energy and a warm, friendly personality. Her excellent service truly enhances the dining experience. I genuinely appreciate the positive atmosphere created here.

Convenient, extremely friendly service (we tipped extra), and very tasty food. I ordered a chicken stir fry which was good but the portion was small and it didn’t stand out to me as authentic, as some reviewers noted. Still very good and a nice break from pub food.

Besides the friendly service, what a horrible experience. 15£ for noodles soaked in oil, no taste besides salt, and an insultingly small portion. For real, a total rip off. I don’t understand why it has such a good rating. Hope I won’t feel sick after all that oil.

First of all the atmosphere was very great... especially the service! The staff were so joyful n welcoming! They know their menu well. However i think the thai tomyum can be better ( speaking from an asian who travel to thailand often) but i think its somewhat nice in western country.. Keep it up tho

I have been visiting Edinburgh annually for the last 10 years. My first experience with TEK in 2023 was excellent - well prepared food and prompt and friendly service! I then came back this year and the wonderful and kind, Vidhu, as my server made each visit enjoyable. I tend to do a lot of walking during the day and I am always guaranteed a seat and the food is delicious. The Pad Thai Satay (I think I got the name right) was prepared to perfection and the coconut rice pudding was fantastic. Thank you, again, Vidhu, and the server team, who made my meals and visits memorable and comfortable! As a solo traveler, it's always a treat to find an establishment with lovely employees and great food that is served quickly! Ciao! Stacy xx

Typical place inside a shopping center, the aesthetics are nice but it was very hot. We were surprised by the quality of the restaurant, we expected more after reading the reviews. They treated us great, the dumplings were what we liked the most. The main dishes were just fine, very average quality/flavor. There were several vegetarian options.

The food was absolutely delicious and Saugat was an attentive and speedy waiter, I came here some time ago and knew I had to bring my friend as it was the first time I have seen him in a year and I wanted to take him somewhere good.

Remarkably disappointing, came here after reading food reviews but the pad thai satay was drowning in a sickly sweet, oyster-style sauce. Didn't feel authentic at all.

Food is very tasty, fast service, friendly. Not best value but Edinburgh in general is pricey. Location is just a shopping mall is what u expect.

The taste of dishes is no where near original Thai food

After a long walk to Calton Hill, we were hankering for a good meal, and Thai Express Kitchen provided and then some. Every dish we ordered was absolutely excellent, with emphasis on the Massaman Curry, Pad Thai, and the Sriracha bites. The drinks were also excellent and paired well with our dishes. My only complaint is that the dishes could have used a pinch more salt. Finally, for any vegetarians or vegans, this restaurant has many clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options.

The location is within the mall on the first floor. The food is ok; portions are mid and price between 15-20 pounds per dish. They add a 10 percent charge to the bill.

Food is good for an easy quick meal. Big portions but the flavour is not all there. Had better but had much worse. Quick service and staff are friendly

While not unpleasant, food is only average by true Thai standards. Probably as good as it gets in these parts. Service was superb and ambiance pleasant enough.

It was a bit of waiting involved to get a place to sit. I was by myself, I waited for 15 min till I got to my table. I told the waiting staff that I was in hurry and I just need food that was quick to prep so I ordered tom yum with noodle. The waiting staff sent the food quite quickly since I was rushing. The food itself have the taste, though it can't never beat the real Bangkok tomyum, but it has all the distinctive flavours required. The ambience was good

Best pad Thai I’ve had outside of Thailand. The atmospehere is really impressive considering it’s in a food hall of shopping centre. We were a table of 11 and all the food was served in good time and the wait staff were lovely and incredibly patient. Vidhu served us and her warmth alone would make us go back.

I have to say, your chef needs a raise. The food served in this restaurant is authentic Thai food. I was craving for a pineapple friend rice and your chef delivered! A little cold in the restaurant but can’t be helped, food was very prompt and lovely. Atesh was a great waiter! Definitely ask for him if you come here.

Decent tasting food, a bit too sweet. However the portion sizers are laughable. I ordered the peanut vegetable dish on Uber eats expecting a container of vegetables ( no rice). Instead I received a small rice box with about five vegetables on top and the rest soggy rice. Like seriously, get it together. I did not pay 20 dollars for a toddler sized amount of food that wasn’t even my order. I wouldn’t mind if the rice was on the side but this is ridiculous.

The restaurant was not busy when we were there. The service was quick. We were asked whether we wanted to be seated inside or outside. We ordered beef green curry. Sadly, it was too salty for us and the taste was not what we expected.

Fantastic looking restaurant, the spring rolls are lovely. The main course I went for a massaman curry unfortunately all the veg in it was very raw large chunks of uncooked onion etc which is not for me. Stick to the spring rolls 😋
