I usually don't write reviews, but I really liked this place. Went in for a Scottish breakfast and it was lovely. Staff was super friendly. Great atmosphere to sit with a hot chocolate after breakfast to read my book.

The breakfast was good along with the excellent service. But spending £44.00 for a full breakfast with coffee for 3 people is a little too much for a cafe. The portions were normal not the diner plates. Nevertheless, you can't fault the food and service.

I had a lovely breakfast in this wee cafe and thoroughly enjoyed the food, the relaxed atmosphere and great coffee.. well worth popping in..the food was half eaten when I photographed it unfortunately before I realised how good it was and decided to give it a thumbs up but you get the idea! I had a 3 egg omelette with cheese and bacon on the side, very tasty with a lovely bit of side salad.. great value for so central a location..

While waiting on the train to Aberdeen i decided to venture out the station as the Coffee places inside Haymarket are ok but not great. I seen this place as soon as i walked out. Jumped in asked how quick you could whip me something up as im waiting on a Train. They were friendly and said just a couple of minutes. I went to the New Yorker. I wish i got 2 it was that Good! The Cappuccino i also got was a Fine Cappuccino! I will definitely return when im over that Direction. Keep up the good work guy's.

Great food, great coffee and atmosphere

Very good establishment. Every morning, he receives you with a good welcome and very good attention. From the surrounding establishments, the best option to have a snack at any time of the day! Highly recommended!!

Descubrí esta cafetería tarde, solo pude disfrutar los dos últimos desayunos en Haymarket. Sólo entré porque vi un cartel fuera anunciando caffè Kimbo, así que sabía que sería napoletano fijo, y no me equivoqué. El local , pequeñito pero con estilo, Vincenzo siempre con una sonrisa. Los cinnamon rolls, buenísimos pero lo mejor de todo....beber un buen café por la mañana, en mi caso 2 spressi. Precio adecuado, teniendo en cuenta que es Escocia y hay que hacer el cambio a euros. Yo sin duda, volvería cada mañana solo por beber su café. Grazie per tutto!!!

Small cafe with quiet atmosphere. The cinnamon rolls are delicious but best of all, if you are a coffee lover, their espressos, of course, are from Napoli and use Kimbo coffee. I discovered the place late and can only enjoy my last two mornings, yes, I had coffee again. The owners are very friendly. I recommend 100%

A beautiful discovery! Lovely little bar in Haymarket Terrace, run by Italians. Welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, plentiful and with excellent prices. The espresso coffee is also good and at lower prices.

Small but "Cozy" place, owned and operated by Italians, homely and friendly atmosphere. Excellent Full British & Scottish breakfasts, lower price than average but top quality (we had breakfast and didn't need to have lunch!). Espresso coffee ALMOST like in Italy, but at prices significantly lower than the average around. We went in there once by chance and had breakfast there for 4 days! If it had been open for dinner we probably would have returned!

Sometimes, the simplest things in life are the ones that matter the most. I had to catch a train out of town so I went over for a quick coffee and a roll, but by god the owners knocked it out of the park! The rolls were generously buttered and baked fresh, the coffee was made just right, smooth and devoid of typical bitterness. I had planned for a 10 min rest but due to the cozy atmosphere ended up spend most of my wait time here. Highly recommended for the breakfast and the coffee. With admiration from Istanbul.

This is hands down the best breakfast roll you'll find! The staff are lovely and the location is amazing, just opposite Haymarket train and tram. I don't know how they make their eggs so fluffy (it's amazing) and the bread is always fresh, don't miss out on this breakfast roll!! SERIOUSLY!

Lovely place, lovely coffee, lovely food.

No es realmente para ofrecer una fritura y no tener una placa. Nunca me habían servido huevos en un microondas en una esfera, y el hachís marrón estaba anémico. Pan rancio para desayunos clásicos y continentales y toda la comida era aceitosa. Precios también por encima de la media. No puedes hablar por las otras cosas en el menú, pero sugiere que tu configuración no funciona para desayunos cocinados.

Bonus era la auténtica pastelería francesa encantadora y todo por menos de £ 6, que es muy buena relación calidad-precio en la ciudad. Propietarios muy amable y acogedor. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita si se dirige a o desde el tren 👍👍

Lovely little cafe just outside of Haymarket train station. The food is good and the owners are really nice. I love how comfy this place felt, interiors were homey. I was able to read my book here while waiting for my train, quite peaceful here. I'd definitely come back.

As part of our campervan journey across the beautiful Aberdeenshire region, my wife and I spent 3 days in Edinburgh during the festival. By chance, we spotted this charming cafe right across from Haymarket station and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made during our trip! We were so impressed that we ended up visiting every day, even when our adventures took us to different parts of the city. The breakfasts and sandwiches were consistently delicious, but the real standout for me was the “Haggis Melt”—a cheesy toastie filled with haggis. Despite my initial hesitation, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and mild the haggis was. I’m now a fan of this lamb-based “salami”! The staff here are incredibly friendly and made us feel like old friends. They went above and beyond, offering great suggestions on things to do and places to visit, ensuring we didn’t miss any of Edinburgh’s most beautiful spots. We wholeheartedly recommend this cafe to anyone in the area. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, make sure to pop in—you won’t regret it!I

It’s not only reasonably priced but also packed with flavor and served generously. Every bite felt like a warm embrace, perfect for starting the day. We also tried their club sandwich, and it was an absolute treat! Made with lightly toasted sourdough bread, it was both crispy and soft, with a perfect balance of fillings that left us craving more. The staff here are incredibly kind and welcoming, making each visit a pleasure. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, we highly recommend popping in for a meal. You won’t be disappointed!

Very pricey, also very tasty, though the sourdough slices were not for the faint of heart. Fearing for the cutlery I decided not to use it - when visiting ensure you have all your own teeth, and in very strong condition, prepared for a challenge. Sad to see a gilt-edged hardback copy of Nicholas Nickleby, one of the great works of the English language, wedged into the back window to keep it open, wrecked - perhaps The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, hunger games or something like that would better suit that place of honour

Catch this little place while transiting between Bathgate and Aberdeen, Daniela behind the counter is a joy and all the food I’ve had has been outstanding, highly recommend the Cubano!

Fantastic experience... the guys are very good, very kind and welcoming. I had a New Yorker and a Scottish breakfast... delicious! They are available to modify your sandwich to suit any allergies. I recommend everyone to come here and taste what they have to offer.

Visiting in Edinburgh from Texas and went inside to grab a bite to eat. Had the best grilled cheese sandwich ever! Lots of cheese and made just right. Loved the inside of the cafe, very cozy and the guys were so friendly and helpful. We had 8 people with our group. Worth the time and good food too!

I had the Scottish breakfast (I sat in), and it was perfect. Surprisingly delicate, not heavy at all, and served promptly by one of the friendly staff.

Ended up here by chance, as there was no breakfast in the hotel: English breakfast was very tasty and nicely prepared! Nice atmosphere and lots of delicious things (see descriptions), e.g. The briefly warmed croissant for take away is also simply tastier with the coffee. I've gone here for every meal, you can always find the right one and it's delicious. Also important, very good price. On the top: good service from the owners, 2 Italians, you feel comfortable there.

This is a super nice cafe! The owners were super nice and went out of their way to provide me with a chocolate croissant they don't usually offer. We've had some of the breakfast plates, and the vegetables in particular were spectacular. We'll definitely come here again!

Appena arrivati ad Edimburgo ed in attesa di fare il check in in albergo, ci siamo imbattuti per caso in questo localino intimo e accogliente davanti la stazione di Haymarket. English breakfast ottima e gustosa, dolci favolosi, ma soprattutto un caffè italianissimo e perfetto. Giuliano e Daniele, simpaticissimi e super alla mano, oltre a farci subito sentire a casa, ci hanno dato tanti ottimi consigli per visitare alcune chicche durante la permanenza. Assolutamente consigliato a tutti! ❤️

Easily the best club sandwich in edinburgh. Had time to kill waiting on a train so popped outside and this sandwich shop was right across the road from Haymarket Station. For £8.90, you get a big slab of blubbley buttery bread, slices of chicken, lots of salad and the crispiest bacon...delightful! This little Italian gem is a new fav!

Dull & disappointed On entering I was greeted with a grunt from a male and the blackboard was pointed out to me, without glasses I couldn’t read. No assistance offered. He seemed to busy chatting with other staff member very loudly No ambiance and unwelcoming Breakfast arrived Cheap meat Awful egg, fried / scrambled don’t know what was served. I left it all Tea bag thrown into a cup and hot water offered. Not the service you expect sitting outside a prime train station Need to learn manners and learn how to talk quietly.. Left with thank you, was everything ok no fairwell again to busy chatting. Would not go back.

Can’t rate this place enough, great location outside the train station, I came in for a bacon roll and as simple as it may sound it was to perfection, a great crispy roll, quality bacon in large quantity, just enough sauce, warm enough to feel satisfying but not to hot, the coffee for the city centre is below the average price, first time coming in and it will absolutely not be the last. After stumbling across this place a few months ago it has now become the only place I will go for breakfast,even though its nowhere near where i live!! Whether it's a full breakfast or a roll it's always top class. Great owners and staff who cant do enough for you..highly recommend if you're in the vicinity and need a little sustenance..10/10

Cute seating area up at the back. They make the sandwiches up for you fresh so it can take a wee while. My pal said his club sandwich was excellent. The aubergine and smoked cheese one I had was reasonably good, but could have been juicer. Folks working there were real nice. Good Italians. Can't work out if it £10 is pricey or not for a sandwich cause I've lost track of inflation.. it is what it is.

Club café my favourite coffee place in Edinburgh .I have my coffee majority of the mornings there and always going back for more. Once that I have tried the crostoni it was also amazing. Daniele, Giuliano and the owners of the business are very friendly and always smiling and welcoming. Keep up the hard work and what you are doing because you are doing great and that has a huge positive impact for the business despite the few bad reviews that are actually just an outbursts of customers self frustration towards your lovely service and quality products!!! Only stopped in for a quick coffee (double espresso with a splash of oat milk) and it was incredible- so creamy and smooth, really great quality coffee - must come back to try some food!

I popped in her for coffee once on my way to the airport and promised myself I would be back for food one day. I had French toast with berries and cream a real treat. The 2 guys looked after me and my gingerbread cappuccino was great. Next time I fly I will be back.

The grilled cheese is so soggy and the service is so meh .. the cinnamon rolls are great. I usually only review horrible place so people can avoid and waste their time.
