A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff, atmosphere, and food were all spot on. The hostess, Dumi, warmly welcomed me and quickly got me seated. My server, Divya, was not only friendly and helpful, she was simply impeccable throughout the evening. The food was fresh, tasteful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend and will return.

Great french toast and coffee, in a comfortable setting, in the heart of the city. Sanaz took great care of us!

Food was fantastic,, The atmosphere was wonderful, we sat in the window looked straight down the street and watched the world walk by. Divya took great care of us, she was fantastic. GO you will love it!!!

This was the first restaurant I went to upon arriving in Edinburgh. Ryan was super nice and despite it being a really busy time he made sure I had everything I needed in a timely manner. As for the food, the menu is small but the food is really good! I even ate the salad (as an anti-salad person that’s really saying something). 10/10 would recommend!

Based on previous reviews, we must have picked an off day. Waited 20 minutes to order while others who arrived later had their orders taken before us. Waited another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did, my poached eggs were solid and cold. My wife's poached eggs were good, but the muffin wasn't.

It is a very nice and very pleasant place. I really recommend it and the service is very good.

Just wanted to say thank you very much for your help, my grandmother is disabled and when the restaurant was busy the young girl serving was so kind and made sure to give us a big table so my grandmother was comfortable and wouldn’t have to struggle to get upstairs !! She also turned down the loud music as my grandmother was having difficulty hearing her over it !! Food was also delicious, will definitely be back !!

Overheard the host say “did you see our menu, we do only pizza and steak tonight but we do it *well*” as we walked in and right he was!!! Having toured both north & south Italy, this pizza was incredible. Perfectly doughy. They have a pizzaiolo from Puglia there - he’s on point! And then the steak! Nailed it - medium rare. If you like steak just go - this was probably a $200+ meal where I’m from… If you like no frills, tasty food, this is your spot. They also have incredible wine & drink options to pair with steak, etc. we tried that, too - zero regrets. Gin & tonics & old fashioned’s were on point as well… yep, so basically, nothing in this place was bad… It was the perfect place to go while attempting to recover from jet lag. Thanks Dumitrita for exquisite service - wouldn’t have been the same without her!

One of our best experiences in Edinburgh! The concept is great- a simple menu but outstanding food! Even the wine they suggested to go with the steak was amazing! And to top it off we had one of the most amazing servers helping us, Noelle! We can’t recommend this place enough!

Horrible service from the blond waitress (head server I guess) We needed a table of 3 after seated down as another mate is joining us - asked for her assistance and she is shrugged us off after informing us the table is only 1 hour (you should leave after that) My mate who came in to join us was “parked” on the counter while waiting for a table and you know what ? The same waitress was directing new patrons to the mezzanine with more tables and refused to accommodate 3 of us nor pay any attention to our request. What a farce ! What a dis-service to Scottish hospitality ! What a diaspora of mis-match in the service industry ! Never coming back anymore and the management should check the CCTV on her conduct that morning. Pffftttt!!

The steak and shrimp were delicious! Couldn’t recommend it enough. The environment is lively and perfect for a later in the evening meal, in no small part thank to our server Dumi. I’m glad they were able to help us after 9pm when others were closed, this was a welcome surprise.

Nice atmosphere, good food. I would recommend it for breakfast. There actually wasn't much choice for food for dinner,they only offered a few simple pizzas and steak. For breakfast, however, there was plenty of choice and it was delicious.

We had a great time in this lovely place. Located in the historic center, this restaurant is ideal for a break between two visits to monuments. The cuisine is very generous!

The place is small and quite crowded in terms of tables and chairs. The location is very nice. The staff is quick and helpful and will inform you if they see you from the Gulf and are careful to alert you if it is halal or not, and this counts for them. As for me, I came to them for dinner and ordered steak, it was quite good, but the sauce was delicious.

Great restaurant. Food was excellent. The staff Remi was our dinner server and he's the handsomest and most wonderful. He is sooo fantastic he deserves a raise and a holiday.

One gentleman(didn’t catch his name) explained the difference wines and helped us pick one that fit our palette. Dylan seated us and Divya was our server! I’ve had a great many of good eggs Benedict’s. However, this one from my breakfast this morning at the Society is the best ever in taste, quality and beautiful presentation.

Absolutely delightful experience - friendly staff, our server Ryan was amazing, and the food was perfect. I don’t know what the old menu was but the new one is simplified down to steak and pizza, but this is simple elevated to sublime. My steak came out on a hot slate, sliced and sprinkled with flakey salt with peppercorn sauce on the side. Delicious! The sides were great and the pizzas were saw go by looked so tempting. I honestly can’t say enough, wonderful food with friendly people and a great atmosphere. I’m told brunch is amazing and I’m sorry we won’t be here to try it. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation!

We had an awesome breakfast at the Society yesterday, great ingredients and beautiful presentation. Came back for dinner tonight and it did not disappoint. Both pizza and the steak were excellent (these are two main choices for dinner along with some side dishes). Kate, our server, was great, too!

Lovely gem in the middle of Edinburgh, perfect to share pizza and cocktails with friends or work with a coffee. Short food menu of great quality, the service is impeccable: everyone is charming and fun and bring the extra sparks to this charming place.

My boyfriend and I both had the steak, medium rare with rosemary fries. It was seared to perfection and the whisky and peppercorn sauces were delicious. Service was fast (Ryan served us) and the staff were friendly. I would recommend!

This is a lively place with a new dinner menu, with high quality food at exceptional prices. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the sauce selection diverse and tasty. All sides were delicious and our server Ryan was on point with his recommendations, timed delivery of drinks and food well, was attentive but not overly so. It was one of our best food experiences in Edinburgh. Highly recommend, but be sure to make a reservation.

Great place to stop for brunch while exploring the new town. Staff is super friendly, our server Dylan was extra nice and accommodating with our 2 toddlers.

While the presentation was great, the food was a bit underwhelming, the coffee being especially bad. Also, the seating arrangement was excessively tight. For the price, it turned out average.
