Como dice el título de la reseña, no te dejes atrapar con una multa de estacionamiento. En cuanto al establecimiento en sí, se trata de un Wetherspoons que, si estás familiarizado con la cadena, es el mismo que los demás, así que ya sabes lo que vas a conseguir. Está en un suburbio de Edimburgo. La principal diferencia entre este y otros que he visitado es que el edificio es menos espectacular, pero todo lo demás es como cabría esperar.

We were booked for Christmas meal in a local restaurant so popped into the Playfair for a bottle of sparkling wine as price is so reasonable. Very good service. Busy do such a good festive atmosphere. Would recommend.

I almost never leave reviews, but I felt I had to because I felt so ripped off here. I'm a local and had time to kill before work so I popped in for lunch. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, but I got the smallest piece of avocado toast I've ever seen for a tenner. I'm still hungry. I sort of knew it would be a mistake to go somewhere touristy but now I know I definitely won't be back. There are nicer places on Cockburn Street, never mind the rest of the Old Town.

We were very regular customers for 30 years. We’ve given the restaurant a few chances since the change of ownership which have been disappointing but tonight was the very last time. We ordered take-out which included ‘Chicken Mushroom’. We double checked on the phone by asking ‘there’s no nuts in anything we’ve ordered?’ . We were told ‘no nuts’. The chicken mushroom dish was for the person with the nut allergy. They have had this dish many many times over many years. We had no reason to be wary. We quickly realised the dish contained Cashew Nuts!!!!! Too late. The person with the nut allergy had eaten a cashew nut. We then spent several anxious hours hoping they would be ok. We phoned the restaurant to tell them what had happened. They apologised & said the mistake must have been made in the kitchen. We had definitely been given Chicken with Cashew Nuts which is below Chicken & Mushrooms on the menu. This wasn’t a rogue Cashew nut in the wrong dish. This was the wrong dish full of nuts!!! Whether the mistake was made when the order was passed to the kitchen or the mistake was made in the kitchen. It’s simply unacceptable & the owner must take steps to ensure this never happens again. We will never be back in the restaurant & we will never order take-out. It’s a sad end to a very long standing relationship but The Loon Fung is no longer The Loon Fung of old.

Prima afhaal restaurant met een onverwacht zitgedeelte met prachtig uitzicht. Eten smaakt prima, medewerkers vriendelijk.

No muy bien, el personal inservible y no exactamente siguiendo la seguridad alimentaria. Presenció a un miembro del personal durante más de 10 minutos manejando tazas de café de papel y simultáneamente limpiando allí la nariz con la palma de su mano y luego limpiando su mano en sus jeans y de vuelta a sostener la taza no solo por el borde, sino también por el interior de la taza y luego usando la máquina molinillo de café. Extremadamente sombrío.

We chose this place for its historical building. Food was good and there was plenty of tasties and cakes. The thing that we didn't like about this place was its expensive bill and the fact that there were few staffs to take care of customers orders. Wouldn't like to return.

myself and 2 friends met up for the first in 40 years in here. It’s a nice place. We enjoyed a few beers as we waited for the kitchen to open. The food was nice, but very overpriced. The quality of the burgers is simply not at the £15.50 level.

We haven't eaten in a while in a pizza hut, and I can say I saw a huge difference. Pros The buffet of 20 British pounds was worth it. We ate a lot and was totally worth it. The quality of the food was impressive A lot of different pizzas and salads had so many options . The ice cream was a decent one for a machine made . Most of the staff were friendly except one guy was a bit stiff and abrupt Wasn't full, so we got seated fast. Plus, after a few mins, the store was full Cons The concept was a bit new to us Slow Internet connection.

We always visit here when visiting Edinburgh on a couple of nights for our evening meal (as we have a Flaming Grill close to us at home and know the brand). It’s not far from the city and we like a change from the tourist restaurants and bars in the city. We’ve always found everyone to be very friendly and this latest visit was no exception. There is a good range of drinks and the food is served hot and in a timely manner. We will definitely be back again on our next visit to Edinburgh.

Awful place. Basic food served without flair or care. Staff so obviously didn't want to be there. A trap for poor, unsuspecting tourists (locals would not patronise). ONE TOILET, DISGUSTING. NO LOCK ON THE DOOR, GRIM, DIRTY, HEALTH HAZARD. A horrible experience.

Recientemente visitó este encantador café familiar justo en el centro de Edimburgo. Tuve mi primera prueba de haggis en una patata al horno con queso recomendado por el personal amable. Gran comida de confort lugar perfecto para probar algunos sabores escoceses!

Utilizó este restaurante a través de la aplicación. Hice el pedido pero nunca lo recibí y se negaron a darme un reembolso a pesar de que claramente fue su culpa. Lanzadores vivientes
