Best Kebab House in Edinburgh, City of

I've been to this take-away on a number of occasions not and always order a donner kebab with everything on it. The kebabs have always been tasty, and good quality with a combination of ingredients that work well. The roast potatoes were a surprise the first time but I now really look forward to them and always really enjoy the eating experience. As the title says, they're messy looking kebabs, not too expensive, but so tasty and really good value culinary treat .

Very friendly, smiley and welcoming staff. Nice clean place. Faantastic fooood. Got the mixed house special kebab. Yogurt kebab. Margarita pizza. Garlic Bread with cheese. Fries. All really good. Definitely reccomend and definitely I will return. Food excellent and very reasonably priced.

This truly is the 'best kebab house' cannot beat their mixed kebab. Also very accommodating if you dont want potatoes they give any extra meat....110% 10/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great customer service also....would not go anywhere else xx

Been coming here for years but totally changed past few months pizza is terrible over cooked and even burnt sometimes won’t be back

Asked for a chicken shish wrap. Ot was priced at £10:45. When ot arrived it was a small shop bought wrap with tiny bits of chicken, nothing else. Disappointed and ripped off. Never again.

Travelled to Edinburgh and found best kebab house, I can honestly say coming from up north it's the best chicken I've ever had from a takeaway away , mint staff definitely coming again

The munchy box is a joke you grt more potatoes than anything else, for £13.50 you'd think they'd put in a cheese and tomato pizza like other place, although food is great 2nd time ordering. I would say munchy box is only enough for 1 adult. Plus delivery guy didn't give me my correct change so I paid more than I should've done.

Well if this shop served this in Manchester the shop would be burned out within a week chips hard and tasteless , I ordered a chicken tikka donner nan !! I got grilled chicken no taste on pitta bread and 2 roast potatoes, seriously dog excriment wouldn't be much worse than this waste of money

Orientalischer Grill mit zufriedenstellender Sauberkeit und sehr angenehmen Öffnungszeiten am Wochenende. Hervorzuheben sind die gebackenen Kartoffeln mit diversen Dips. Das Kebab war in Ordnung und um 1 Uhr nachts auch sehr gern gesehen. Letztlich war es nüchtern betrachtet kein Highlight für 12£. Nochmal würden wir den Laden nicht besuchen.

This is my local kebab shop and I can always rely on it when short on time or there's no food at home. The chips and cheese is fantastic, the cheeseburger is great too, both reasonably priced and quickly prepared.

Mixed Kebab £14.50, thought well it must be good at that price to realize most of the Kebab was roast potatoes!! Since when did they start putting roast potatoes in Kebab's turns out a dodge a bullet hardly any meat 5 small bits of kebab meat tiny bit of chicken on drenched in fat bread, fried mushrooms and onion's it was horrible in taste. Not from Edinburgh but folk I'm staying with immediately said once they discovered I went there, you get bumped with roast potatoes lol, would have told you not to go there don't worry lesson learned

5/5 Consistently good grilled kebabs. They have delicious seasoned baked/pressure cooked then fried chips/wedges which is their USP. The grilled meat is usually too salty for me but it never stopped me coming back

OMG, we just ate the most amazing meal" calzone" it was the best calzone we've had it was "heaven "on plate. As for the speed so rapid, guys we both thank you & driver for such an amazing meal we'll definitely be back soon thats a promise. Lee & Angela

Always very tasty food and speedy delivery

Ordered a basic 12'' pizza, watched the guy pull a precooked pizza from somewhere and pop it in the oven. 3 mins later, I was presented with a burnt pizza. Not ideal, but at 1.30am there are no other options. I'm not against pre-cooked and reheated food by any means, but when they are clearly burnt it's not a good look. Remember that not all late night customers are drunk. First time here, and unfortunately last.

By far one of the best take aways I know. Food it always amazing. Tatties are to die for. Only ever had one issue with wrong food but they were quick to correct it. Highly recommended to anyone wanting nice take away food.

Average at most, definitely an idea to be severely intoxicated before venturing here. 10 pints of lager and a bottle of dark rum isn't enough apparently.

Ordered via Deliveroo, it was over an hour late so we phoned and before they could even ask our address they just said ‘yeah yeah it’s coming’ and hung up. Waited another 20 minutes, phoned again only for them to argue with us and say they don’t deliver to our address and to ‘ask for a refund on Deliveroo or something’ and hung up again. Complained via Deliveroo who simply cancelled the order, now I am waiting for a refund of the money I paid. Furious with service from this place and from Deliveroo.

Get the potatoes, you won't be disappointed. They are so delicious and somehow feel healthier than getting a portion of chips! My boyfriend and I shared a portion after a friend recommended we try them and were very happy with our decision. Staff were very friendly despite it being 1am 😅

Very friendly staff, calzone was very nice but sauces weren’t worth getting, chilli sauce had not flavour, also shouldn’t sell fish😂, the donner meat was handsome, the calazone had a good taste chips were lovely but the fish honestly I can’t describe it haha, just don’t sell fish and try update your sauce recipe as it would have been 5 stars!

I would like to thank for the food, however im not happy about what i got today. The meat was very tough and tasteless, also the meal was of a small size when i ordred a large. Thank you for the meal and effort but i was but very satisfied. Please put some more effort in next time.

Best place ever they gave us free drinks

They put such a small amount of doner meat in the kebabs it’s basically just a salad. Healthy though

after using this place for over 15 years they are trying to get away with sending me wrong order.... saying too busy etc to send another one who cares if ur too busy u sent the wrong order u muppets.

Cancelled my order last minute as I was preparing for iftar, the reason being that it is outside delivery area, bravo!

As ever some of the best kebab s in the Leith area. Also had pizza which despite a 15 minute walk home was still nice and warm. Would prefer a slightly thinner base however ample toppings

if you come here get the chicken pakora with chilli sauce and garlic mayo, honestly the best thing ive ate in my life 10/10 recommend

This was terrible, the best kebab house was a nightmare start to finish never had problem before waited over hour after last delivery time, guy said he called, delivery driver outside was a lie he hung phone up on me, said cancelled my order now 14 days to wait for refund from just eat Please avoid

Really good, filling food at great prices. The staff are kind (and nice to kids!), and as regulars, we're always given plenty of roast potatoes with our pizzas. Our five-star go-to eatery!

Portion is enough for a person however taste can be better

I ordered pizza with side of chicken & potato. What I received was so disgusting I could not even for myself that eat. After being hungry all day, everything should taste amazing but this "food" only destroy my appetite

Girlfriend always drags us here after a night out, but for good reason! I always end up stealing a little too much of her food. The guys are always real kind and the food is consistently great. Get something with potatoes and you definitely won't regret it.

Food is hot, delicious and prepared right in front of you. Lovely staff & really fast service. 10/10. Would recommend if you want something tasty and filling. Really good prices and service delivered with a smile :) Second night we’ve ordered from here and it has not disappointed! These guys work so quickly and efficiently and communicate well with each other which makes everything run so much smoother. Cannot recommend enough.

1st time using this takeaway. Wow wow amazing. Arrived very soon after ordered over phone, delivery guy was so polite. The pizza was hot and so fresh. Tasted amazing. So worth the money. Would I recommend defintely so worth it.

I once went in after a nigh out made my order when it came time to payin i realise my purse had been stolen they where great gave me meal went in the next day to pay and was told no it on us great shop and even greater worker was x

Good pizza that's about it southern fried chicken is undercooked in one piece and another bit is a slightly green colour. definitely not southern fried :( they keep trying to pan me off with pepsi when I ordered coca cola without calling to say they didn't have it. Their website also says order unsuccessful but then delivery still arrives??? Loved the southern fried chicken last time I went in years ago but awful now. Ordered today again on the 7 Jun 2021 thought maybe place would have improved but no. They yet again tried to give me pepsi instead of coke which I ordered now over 2 hrs later and 3/4 phone calls to the shop (the last I recorded by the way) I now am taking the recorded call to Edinburgh council and trading standards the guy said driver was now too busy to drop off what I paid for. Pure fraud stay away pure bampots running the place but they'll hear from the council and regret ever promising me an order which they frankly don't give a toss about getting right. Shocking police might even be involved now especially with phone recording as evidence

The quality has slipped abit in the past couple of years however still well worth a visit. Still probably one of the best places on the street Update has continued to go downhill if highly recommended going somewhere else

Awful. Food cold and meat dry and overcooked. Probably cooked 2 or 3 days before and reheated. Also doubt the jokers "cooking" this junk ever heard of spices. They do use salt in copious amounts.

I have ordered from Best Kebab House quite a few times and I was never disappointed. Their portions are very generous and even if you order a wrap you always get a couple of their amazing roast potatoes! The guys are always very friendly and up for a chat and the delivery has never been late before. I would definitely recommend. Once again, the potatoes are amazing!

Absolutely disgusting food! pizza was not even cooked, doughy with toppings i never even asked for . i personally think this place needs inspected . honestly whoever reads this please do not order form this place, the most vile food i have ever eaten!! the dog wouldn't even eat the pizza because it was saturated in cheese. tried to call and kept getting cut off. Appalling, vile, repulsive food. i will spread the word on how shocking this place is.

Left me on NYE without food. Accepted my delivery on deliveroo and took my money. After calking 30 mintues after my order was due, the man on the phone insisted that they weren't accepting deliveroo orders, despite accepting mine. Further, he proceeded to be completely rude on the phone and very unhelpful. I highly suggest not ordering online from this restaurant as they do not want to take culpability for their actions, and as a result I have no food during NYE during a lockdown. Thanks guys!
