The man behind the counter... legend. The food... sublime. Is it because we are a tad gassed potentially. Would we come here sobre, probably not but does that mean it is a lesser establishment? No! 10/10

Not great at all. Kebab is very expensive for a small portion. They do a small or large at £9 or £10. But the large is really just a standard size and the small is tiny. There is also about 10 chips on both, definitely not a portion size but the trick is they say ‘free chips with kebab’ even though a kebab should come with chips. No drink included either. The interior is dirty and grotty, with the kitchen area looking dismal. There were no kebabs on the grill, so I asked what they had the guy then said they had doner kebabs but kept them in the oven not on the roasting spit. That was odd and made me think they weren’t fresh or they had precut the meat and it was sitting warm. The doner kebab meat itself was okay but have had better. The bread was ok and salad ok. But overall disappointing and too expensive for what it is. The inside is also cold as door is left wide open, I asked to close it and they said no as they get too hot cooking but from what i could see there was little cooking going on. Turkish establishments are often far cleaner, friendlier and much better food. Could not really recommend unfortunately. Also is cash only FYI.

Most expensive kebab I have ever got, absolutely the worst one: everything was fresh enough but the meat was very strange, rubbery and not roasted.

Some friends had falafel for lunch and enjoyed it so much we went back later in the evening. Truly the best falafel wrap any of us have enjoyed anywhere.

Very bad experience. Owner was rude the food was really bad and smelly. Ordered mix Shish kebab and it was supposed to be grilled but he fried on the pan. The taste was horrible. Regret going there, avoid at any cost it’s not Turkish food

The best takeaway in Edinburgh! Been going here for 21 years. The owner is lovely, so friendly, and the food is always amazing. Every night out ends up here - I will literally leave a club early to ensure I get here before close!

Great takeaway with sit in facilities that does great food, highly recommend only mark it loses is that it only takes cash which in the current climate many of us dont carry and on a saturday most local cash machines are cleaned out

Great little independent takeaway. I always go for the grilled chicken wraps. Good pricing - although they've recently gone up. Food tastes fresh and well seasoned. The only negative is the chicken is quite salty sometimes.

Edinburgh's finest and best food place sit in takeaway! I find it the most relaxing, comfortable atmostphere in Edinburgh! The chef makes everything homemade and food is of the best quality. I'm a local and for any tourist who doesn't know Edinburgh this is the place to come! Coppadocia is KING! I would give 10 stars if it was possible!

Tried most of the menu from here, burgers are decent quality burgers, pizzas are always good and the chilli sauce is really nice and thick. Only not a five star rating as the garlic sauce is more of a mint and yoghurt. But other than that great quality, plus guy serving is always friendly

Excellent. The place was clean and staff were very friendly. We had falafel wrap with hummus which tasted great. Little spice to the falafel and creamy hummus. The lamb shawarma was also delicious. Wasn't chewy or dry.

Mi esposa y yo estuvimos haciendo un recorrido por los pubs de Edimburgo y fuimos mini llegó a tiempo para comer algo y nos encontramos con la Cappadocia. Ambos pedimos el pan de pita en falafel y estuvimos muy impresionados. Además, el personal era muy amable y nos dieron la ventaja añadida de poder sentarse dentro y come nuestra comida.

I think Cappadocia is the best kebab place place in Edinburgh. Great after a night out or when you just feel like some quality kebab. Staff are great as well which makes it even better.

Yo estaba absolutamente humeante cuando dejé mi cartera en Cappadocia Kebab y fuimos a Ibrahim el esfuerzo de seguimiento en FB, así que me sabía donde lo dejé. Nunca comí el kebab, pero si es la mitad de bueno que este servicio al cliente, tiene que ser sangrienta increíble.

we found this little gem when we were on holiday in Edinburgh, 3 years ago. We went a few times in the two weeks on the first trip. This time, we only had time for one stop, but even then - the owner there remembered us from the last time we cam in. It was like we had just been there the night before. He was super friendly, and makes a mean Doner Kabab! Very filling, I can never finish the whole thing! It's really worth a pop in, if you are looking for a nice, affordable take away.

Was in here around 5 mins ago waiting for my order when I seen a tourist who didn't speak much English or know our money too well was being served... His total order was £11.30 to which he pulled out a £10, a £20 a £1 coin & two 10p's and laid it on the counter.... The man serving him took the £20, £1 & two 10ps and told him that was fine, with the tourist being none the wiser he had given him nearly doublWhen I said I seen what you just done I was challenged from the man and told it was non of my business. I find this the worst customer service ever witnessed by myself. I left my order and walked out. Steer clear!!!

Love this place, always great kebabs. However they can be inconsistent. Sometimes the sauce is in tubs (which I prefer) and some times all over the meat. Also sometimes you get free chips through just eat as you would if you went there and sometimes you don't. I would prefer to know what to expect. Otherwise lovely chicken shish as always.

I ordered a mixed grill kebab and donner. Mixed grill - meat was fine but very small for £10 while the donner was uninspiring. No pots for sauces - merely added to the kebab making it soggy. Ultimately not good value and I am very surprised at some of the high ratings - maybe I wasn`t drunk enough!

I travel to Edinburgh for work, and sometimes you just want a quick meal. Cappadocia was recommended to me by the guide on a pub crawl back in May. Tried the lamb shish kebab and loved it. Not staying nearby this time, and had to stretch my memory to remember where it was. Tried the lamb shish again, this time without a pub crawl and a clear head. It is great. It does not need any extra sauce on it, the lamb is juicy, you can taste the charcoal, veggies are crunchy. There are a lot of bad kebab shops in the world, when you find a good one you shout about it.

I tried the Donner Kebab. It was okay, just an average kebab. However, it's cheap. The service was good.

Unlike so many other restaurants and takeaways of this genre, the Cappsdoccia is genuinely Turkish and serves excellent food (even though they gave yet to I clued lamacun on the menu!).Service is very friendly and you can eat in or take away. We ignored the ubiquitous doner and chose lamb and chicken kebabs which were both excellent. So good in fact that we repeated the order on the following evening!

1 star rating is generous, had problems with service which I've never had from any restaurant or takeaway before, over 2 hours late and quality of food was unbelievably poor!

It was really late and the kebab tasted as though they'd used liver...some people like that flavour, some don't it would be good to disclose it.

We have been customers of the Capadoccia Kebab House for many years and we are delighted with the new home delivery service. Very good quality and friendly customer service.

This was my first visit with my friend. It was buy one get one free with her taste card. Even without the taste card it was value for money. Menu has some traditional and different types of Italian dishes. My family is Italian and both the food and service reminded me off home. The staff where lovely, especially Giuseppi.
