Absolutely LOVED this place. I went there twice on my recent trip and hung out with the locals and everyone was friendly! The prices were awesome, and I even managed to catch a soccer (sorry, FOOTBALL) match while I was there. Seeing everyone get so into it was amazing. Truly great spot.

Drink prices are the cheapest around but it smells like.bleach covered vomit. It's definitely where the true Scottish drikers go. I'll go again but it's a place you have to over come the smell. Staff was awesome place is. Ig for a large group.

What a dump the assistant manageress heather if that's what you call her would be better off going back to sports direct as she's not got a clue there is a supposedly an age limit but the staff are dven under that age limit so it doesn't make sense mind you the staff are not educated, and for hannah she thinks she owns the place the pub itself is filthy tables are never wiped bar is never wiped bear flies all around it certainly needs new management to improve the standard of the place and staff that no how to operate a bar

Good prices all round. Tables where dirty, staff where more concern about their phones than the guests. toilet was stunk of urine really don't know when they where last done also cubicle door was hanging off. Also drug taken in toilets

Incredible value for money with pints starting at just £1.64 on weekdays for students. Also very friendly staff and fun jukebox

They allow dogs in so, for me, they have all my respect...I loved that detail!!! I will be back for sure...😍😍

The beer was expensive even for the area. The interior is neat, wouldve enjoyed the pool or sports if I had friends. But I must say it was easily one of the most disgusting bathrooms I've seen. The stall doors in one had literally fallen off and was still lying there.

Served by Heather she was very friendly, great service and great pub all round.

This was the first pub me and the 2 lads visited in Edinburgh and this will be the last we go back to. Outdated pub , toilets down in the dungeons and hinges falling off the doors. Pints taste like corn, man sharted in our face and never said excuse me, acting like nothing happened and looked in the opposite direction. , how disgusting overall a very dodgy pub

Cheapest pints in Edinburgh as far as I'm aware at £1.95 for Carling or Strongbow.

I have just had a long weekend in Edinburgh and had heard about shandwicks. I had heard lots of negative things and so went in with low expectations but however by the end I had changed my mind completely. This place has pints for very cheap prices of £1.95 which is rare in any part of the country. My server was Finlay and he came across as a very kind lad and proceeded to ask about my day and what not while also giving me a very good pint even though it was in a plastic cup. Furthermore the atmosphere in the pub throughout the night was very good and not what people make it out to be. Give this place a try guys! Don’t listen to the people who give this place a so called bad reputation as it isn’t true!

Enjoy going into Shandwicks for a cheap drink and atmosphere, only issue I have is the amount of seats at the bar obviously regulars which is fair enough but doesn't leave a lot of space for ordering, having to shout over someone's head then struggling to get drinks away from bar. Perhaps have a non seating area at the bar for ordering?

Great place for students to hangout or for gathering! Alcoholic drinks here are fairly cheap and the pub has chill ambience. Location is strategic. Definitely would return!

Pub has both cosy and lively sides, but with his positive attitude the bartender Innes made the experience that much better. Would recommend!

I visited this place for the first time, and couldn't believe how busy it was until I ordered a drink and was charged a fraction of the cost of other city centre pubs. Well worth a visit if sightseeing in the city.

I love going to Shandwick's, and the staff are always attentive and helpful. I was in this past Saturday, and had Emma serve me. She poured immaculate pints, and made sure that my mixed drinks were perfect. We later ordered a pitcher from her, and it was the best Venom I've had in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone that wants great, affordable drinks.

This place is amazing! Emma the bartender is the best person at this place! She truly makes Shandwicks the place to be. Emma always gives the best service, has the brightest smile and is just the best person at this place. Emma is the best! Plus just so pretty that the atmosphere may not be great but she makes that place shine!

Generally speaking, I think the people make the place and Emma H. is what MAKES this place. I was surprised to find someone so witty and charming, but there she was! Fantastic drink recommendation (the blue one?) 10/10 would come back for a drink and good bants

Shandwick's is my go-to pub in Edinburgh. I love walking in and being greeted by the energetic and unique staff team each time, specifically Emma. Each time I leave the pub, I am left with a smile on my face and a yearning to go back. I go at least once a week - see you there on Friday for the awesome DJ and cheap drinks!

Cant say anything for food as I didn't ask if they do food. Drinks £1.95 a pint of carlin, strongbow the same price. Highly Recomended for a cheap night out or to shoot some pool on the two tables

Cheap pints (Coors and Carling at less than £2), great vibes! The atmosphere is lovely and may be noisy for some people. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the several times we visited while in Edinburgh. P.s. the music is absolutely lovely!
