If you go in or order collection on the app it's a decent kebab. Order for delivery and its a shocker. That's 3 times now its been over 45 minutes and I've had a cold greasy dumped on my doorstep.
I think you can probably tell I'm not going back until it changes hands again.
Such a shame a once great kebab shop has gone down the tubes.
Let's play spot the salad!
took over an hour to come when it was only down the road from me and online it said it would be 20mins till it came. And to make It worse the food was cold and not nice at all
Visited with high expectations, but left disappointed.
We arrived on a weekday around 5:30 PM, and the restaurant was very quiet at that time. We ordered a carafe of red wine, the haggis balls, and the beef Wellington for two.
The beef Wellington had a 40-minute wait time, which we were informed of in advance. The haggis balls came as a portion of five. They were decent in taste, but nothing particularly memorable.
The beef Wellington consisted of six slices (three per person). The meat was tender and juicy, but unfortunately, it wasnât served hotâit seemed like it had been sitting for a few minutes before reaching our table.
We also ordered the pasta with meatballs for our child, which we had read was free during weekdays. However, at the end of the meal, we noticed we had been charged for it. When I pointed this out, the waitress insisted it was only free during weekends. After checking, she came back and confirmed that I was rightâit is indeed free on weekdays.
The biggest disappointment was the service. After taking our initial order, no one checked on us or asked if we needed anything else. It felt like we were being ignored. To top it off, a 12.5% service charge had been added to the billâoptional, but certainly not earned in this case.
In the end, I paid ÂŁ32 less than the original bill because I had no intention of tipping for such poor service. Whether it was a lack of knowledge or an attempt to overcharge us, the staff didnât even know (or pretended not to know) their own promotions.
Overall, the experience was underwhelming and overpriced. I wonât be returningâand for anyone planning a visit to Edinburgh, I strongly advise looking elsewhere if service matters to you.
Great experience! Last night my partner and I had dinner at this place and we really enjoyed it. Excellent welcome, the menu was explained to us well and despite our very basic English, we understood everything well thanks to the patience of the person who welcomed us. You can also order via the app. The place is really beautiful and the dishes are delicious! We can't wait to return to Scotland to return to you! Thanks for everything and see you soon! đ
Nice pub, with good vibes and food. I ordered the Haggis with peppercorn sauce and it was exceptional. The haggis is good but the peppercorn sauce is what most impressed me and you can tell it is homemade. Service is nice and accommodating. Highly recommend đđ»
friendly and attentive server, she noticed i was american and added ice to my water without me having to ask, which i appreciated. the food was so good! i had the sirloin & mash with peppercorn sauce (you have to get the sauce!) a bit pricey but very tasty. $42 USD.
