The best restaurants in Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

We came before we went to the playhouse to see Joseph. I came with my mum, sister and my granny and they were so welcoming. My granny is rather slow but they didn’t rush her at all and made her feel very welcome. I highly recommend coming here as the food is amazing and the staff are very hospitable !

Nowhere as good as it used to be. Decor itself is looking worn and tired and well in need of being refurbished. Food it below average and some cold and some undercooked. Nothing to write home about and I would rate this as below average for any Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. Staff don’t really care Ben when you tell them food was to dry. Won’t be back and there is much better close by.

First time at Pizza Hut. The pizza tastes good and the free salad is a nice change, plus the refillable ice cream if you order it. The price is quite high for the size of the pizza.

Everything was beautiful, the service and the food. We ordered a waffle and an egg sandwich, and it was delicious and worth another visit. Thank you, Eva, for your service

Didn't even sample the food.Had booked on recommendations. Booked for festive menu as was the only option given on line. Arrived early table was ready only to be told we are not doing festive menu and half of the menu was unavailable. This was the rugby weekend but why take bookings when you can't fulfill them. Went elsewhere but somewhat spoiled our evening !

I liked the music that played, the whole environment in general was warming and welcoming

Warm welcome from the start... Food was absolutely yummy and our server a young girl Melisa was 1st class.... even though it was busy nothing was a problem..... A manager in the making

One of the best views you will get of the three bridges really nice inside lots of nice paintings to look at while you wait for your food meal,it was excellent I had the smoked haddock poached egg buttered mash coffee was perfect my wife loved her steak pie the meringue to o share was huge and cook to perfection servace was really good attentive friendly without being obtrusive

Tuvimos una comida aquí un viernes por la noche en el período previo a la Navidad. Restaurante muy bien con muchas mesas reservadas. Teníamos una mesa en una sección más pequeña, pero a pesar de eso al final de la noche, ¡podía oler las especias en mi ropa! Necesita mejor ventilación. Buena comida y cantidades muy razonables, y BYOB.

This is a large restaurant in central Edinburgh, part of what was once a much larger chain of restaurants. We had the tasting menu. Which at £25 per head was a fantastic mix of food. All of which was cooked to perfection and served with cheery members of staff. This is a fast paced restaurant and they will get you through in less than 90 minutes even at peak times. Great cocktails too.

Fantastic Menu full of wonderful flavours and great staff always ready to help. Thanks to Tam who serve our table and big applause to the chefs for making every plate a journey to other worlds!

Fantástico lugar para el brunch y mucho más. Paramos aquí en nuestro último día en Edimburgo y lo único que lamentamos fue que no lo encontramos antes. Buena comida y servicio. Un lugar que vale la pena visitar cuando está en la ciudad.

I’ve been using this take away for years, excellent customer service from the friendly staff always greeted with a smile and some friendly chat- food is always 10/10. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
