It was so cold the chicken was like rubber the curry sauce was so watery I’m not happy

We waited an hour for our order. The food was nice but it would've been better if it had been hot. The Chow Mein was tasty but spoilt as it wasn't hot enough.

Generally excellent restaurant occasionally lets itself down. Today my beef dish had so much gristle there was not a mouthful that didn't contain inedible gristle pieces. This is a butchery issue, no amount of velveting would fix this.

Best Chinese takeaway for chicken curry & fried rice that I use nest my area.

Never had a prob with food for years I’ve come here but tonight just got a very rude delivery man . The restraunt told me it would be an hour like it normally is anyhow it came after just 15 min and cause I didn’t awnser the door straight away he said come on mate I explained the restraunt said an hour he’s like it doesn’t matter well yes it does. Enjoy ur tip we will look elsewhere now

Chicken was a little tough in the chicken with spring onions & ginger but otherwise very tasty.

Crispy Duck that is not only not crispy, but is so gelatinous it could be used in a certain fruity dessert.

Chips weren't cooked on parts, and food was so hot that it went right through the poor paper packaging, good it was hot, but the downsides were annoying.

very fast delivery and the sirloin stake was great.

they lied that they had rang the bell or knocked on the door and claimed to call me. they are around the corner. I called them and said I have to pick up my meal when I wanted it delivered most was cold by this point I paid nearly thirty pounds for it all.

It is so often said that this chinese that chinese is the best, the same as reviews on other food outlets. Well I have really tried them all on this side of Edinburgh, and Mr lees really is the best, fantastic food and always lovely delivery drivers, please give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

I mainly order Spicy chicken fried rice from here whenever I visit. I would say that it's pretty good in taste actually and the quantity is enough for one person. Though I would like the dish to be a little more spicy, yet I can say that it's one of the best chicken fried rices I have tasted after moving to Edinburgh last year.

I ordered a few meals for a COLLECTION, the app says my food was ready so I headed in. when I approached the girl at the desk I saw her looking in various places for my food then proceeded to call the delivery driver as she accidentally sent my food bag with him. I was asked to wait but no explanation, but I heard the call so I questioned it and she agreed but with no apology. by this point I didn't know how long I had to wait on my food bag. I only waited 5 minutes, but again no apology. RUDE!

Ordered a salt and pepper munch box rather disappointing I can’t lie. Cold chips, cold rice, chicken tasted like rubber all food very bland Would give 0 stars if it was possible do not recommend. Worse takeout food I’ve ever eaten

Food was disgusting.. delivery driver left food at doorstep and if I never had a ring doorbell wouldn’t have even known it was delivered.. the place was rude over the phone when I called to complain about their driver would 100% recommend just going to nine dragons or somewhere else over this shop..

the munchiebox was cold, the tin foil didn’t help to keep it hot it’s like it’s been left out for a while for the courier to deliver usually when I order a munchiebox it’s hot and fresh… I guess it depends on the time of the order

Shells on 50% of the prawns kinda ruined the meal.

Very disappointing. Ordered 2 Munchies Boxes neither were freshly cooked, both looked like they had been cooked long before delivery. Delivery took ages, food was cold when it eventually arrived. Won't be ordering again.

I didn't get my seaweed and 8nstead got someone's fritters. I have diabetes so they went in the bin. I hope the other person enjoyed my seaweed, best thing on the menu!

Turned up very late and very cold!! Such a shame as usually great from here…did phone to ask why but did t get much of an answer…had to microwave everything

I wouldn't buy these chips, rice and sauce bundles again. I thought they'd be separate but were all lumped in one box with the sauce saturating everything. Maybe thats how its meant to be but I thought it was disgusting.

Some of the chicken wings were not cooked properly. Only got about 4 bits of chicken in my chicken curry. Wasn’t best pleased. Probs no order again.

I ordered food to take home, the food was cold and the wrong dishes were brought. Although the check was indicated correctly.

Food was dry as a bone , left a note to say make sure enough curry sauce and still only a dribble chips were bone dry !

Perfect as always and hot x won’t eat a chicken and black bean from anywhere else.

Didn’t receive a part of my order

Only 7 small bits of chicken in the curry and was all onions and very runny sauce. Prawn crackers were stale and all broken int to almost crumbs. Chips had got all sweaty in the paper bag which fell apart when try to take the chips out the bag.

2nd time ordering here and food lovely

Ordered a takeaway by phone 3 days ago and said I was vegan and no mushrooms or chillies, twice. The girl herself said, 'only food from plants', so I presumed she understood. I reiterated vegan with no mushrooms and chillis when I collected it and she confirmed this. Got home to find there were loads of mushrooms and eggs in the stir-fry. What a waste of a meal! I didn't phone to complain but shan't be returning. They've lost my business!

Food is always good at Mr Lee's yet I wish the portions were the same. I have been eating on and off as Mr Lee's since 1998, and will continue when I want a change or a break from cooking.
