Good food, good service, lovely place. Really enjoyed our meal

Was working away and called in here for a curry in the evening. Was made to feel welcome even though on my own, food was nice. Recommend the chicken Karahi and onion bhaji, very nice!

Very disappointed with the food taste, visited this place recently, ordered a variety of chicken curry, chicken biryani and tandoori chicken Full of food colours but the real spice, i dont even know if the chef actually know how to cook a biryani, i could not even finish a small biryani, Highly price for the quantity and taste of food, you shouldn’t even call it an Indian restaurant it’s a disgrace, My partner didn’t even finish her half roti, Ruined our date night Even i cook far better than the chef

I came here with my family to this restaurant and they appeared to be nice and give us good information but then the food was bland with no flavour and the chicken in the biryani wasn’t fully cooked. We ate because we have just moved here and we were hungry and had no other choice. Disappointed that this restaurant is tainting India’s reputation. Not only was the food mediocre at best, they inflated the prices of our food and tried playing it off. Checked the menu online later on and realised we had been scammed off nearly £20!! This is ridiculous and if you have any common sense you’d avoid this place at all costs.

We came here on a Thursday evening about 7 PM. We were immediately seated in a lovely window table. The host was very pleasant and that pleasant attitude continued throughout the evening. We love Indian food, and we’re curious to see how this place stacked up against others that we had visited while on vacation in the UK. It did not disappoint. We started with the appetizer plate and samosas. However, we did order our at the same time. We took our time chatting and munching, unwinding after a day of sightseeing. I was surprised when the host came over after 15 minutes or so, and said that there was no rush, and to simply let him know when we wished to have our mains. My wife and I tend to be eaters especially when we are on vacation because we like to save the moment. It was really great to see that attitude reflected in this restaurant. I let him know that we were ready for our main courses, and they were brought out within five or 10 minutes. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Other than the samosas, we decided to order things that we had never had before. I wish I had taken pictures of the Menu because I forget the exact name of the lamb dish. It was something like lamb and green sauce. It was made with green bell peppers and coriander and was stunning. The heat level was very low and that was just fine. At times we do like our Indian food super hot, but this was delicious just as it was served. The Palau rice was on point and fluffy. And the suggested side of mushroom Aloo was scrumptious and also new to us. The garlic non-was abundant and perfectly prepared. Don’t hesitate to stop in here for a meal or book a table. The food and the service combined for a beautiful evening experience.

The service was excellent. Extremely friendly. Food was outstanding, they also had a good selection of wine that was reasonably priced. We will definitely return.

First visit to this Indian restaurant in South Queensferry. Could not fault the meal which was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive including a refill of my coffee. We were unsure how many Nan bread to order and we were advised to get one and it was no problem to order another should it be required. It was not as the food was plentiful. We went early so it was very quiet which is as we like it. We will certainly be back. Very reasonably pricing was a bonus. Thank you for a lovely meal in a lovely setting.

Whilst staying near Edinburgh we went here on valentines night, beautiful location, polite and attentive staff. The food was delicious and the garlic naan was one of the best we have ever had. Highly recommend and also very well priced.

A new favourite of ours, we like to collect from here and are always met with such friendly service. Every order has been perfect, nothing forgotten and always ready on time. The food is consistently delicious!

Solid menu for vegetarians with a number of classic choices. Fresh herbs (coriander) and fresh sauces. I had a lovely creamy saag aloo that hit all the right "comfort food" buttons on a cold winter night. Great tasting food. Maybe not avant guard or surprising but sometimes reassuring classic dishes are just what you are looking for: it can be found here 😊

We had an amazing Christmas Eve at the Queens Spice. Started the evening off with some pakora and poppadoms with a selection of dips. They were full of flavour, from mild to hot, we all loved them. Onto the mains and it just got better and better, we had a selection of different curries as there were 6 of us and all were excellent. We will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Simply Fabulous, we called in advance to check what time it was open, the staff were pleasant and attentive, the food was excellent. The spiced onions definitely need to be tried with the poppadoms. Vegetable Pakora to start followed by a Chicken Madras, rice and Chapatti.

Great food! I've ordered a few times from them now, and the food has been consistently tasty and fresh. I've also always received friendly and efficient service. I ordered tonight and, when it arrived, there was a container of rice missing. I phoned them up and got through in less than a minute. They immediately sent through the missing rice along with complimentary side dishes in less than 5 minutes! Definitely recommend.

A wonderful last-night-in-Scotland dinner to celebrate our trip, and what a find. Excellent food, warm service and hospitality, and clearly a local favorite, judging by the happy faces and to-go orders. Highly recommended.

I can't comment on the atmosphere as I had a take away delivered to my home. I ordered one of the set meals for two. It was absolutely amazing. Large portions, enough that we split the meal between me and my partner and our teenage daughter. We all really enjoyed it. The delivery was quick and the delivery driver was polite. All in all a five star from me, in actual fact as I write this my partner is shouting over it was a seven stars.

There were four in our group for dinner on a busy Saturday evening. We had two starters, four mains with rice, nan bread and chapattis, four beers and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, the priciest at £29.00. The bill came to £130.00. Although we were a little bit tight on space in the corner we were in, it didn't spoil our meal. The pakora was ace, samosas average. Mains were all great, three meat dishes and a vegatarian option, as was the service.

This restaurant is a little piece of heaven. The service was fantastic couldn't fault it. The food was fabulous very well made and very tasty

Birthday treat was disappointing. The restaurant was clean and the staff very attentive. Early evening visit started well with only one other couple in the restaurant. Unfortunately after they left they were replaced by two very loud gentlemen who thought nothing of clattering dishes and shouting on the waiting staff who were only yards away. Their conversation was loud enough to have filled a large auditorium.. The food was average and my main course was described as mild, more appropriate description would have been bland. The chicken dish lacked the flavour expected of a highly rated establishment. The prices have risen considerably from my last visit, but £8 for an ice cream was enough to take your breath away. City Centre prices indeed. Certainly did not feel like value for money. The money off voucher handed over on leaving the restaurant as an enticement to return is unlikely to work for me.

Had an excellent Korma here. Food excellent and good service. Nice spot in South Queensferry.

I was in Fife for a few days and was taking photos of the forth bridge popped in here for a meal good service and prices although I have eaten better Nan bread overall very good and would recommend

This place is well past its expiry date. I think I know why we were the only people in there on a Sunday evening... There is a strong smell of poo next to the kitchen, and the music was loud and intense. The food was edible, but not tasty and the naan bread was especially bad. Service was friendly enough.

I used to love this place but the standard has slipped. The Naan breads are tiny now and the tandoori curry had no taste, even the Pathia recipe seems to have changed! And that was my favourite so I'm gutted. The chicken pakora was 4 measly pieces for £5! Not worth it in fact we actually binned most of the meal so a total waste of money,felt like the restaurant did not try as this was a takeaway meal rather than dine in.

Room was a little cold, otherwise a great meal

We ordered a large take away for all the family and friends. Friendly staff who helped us choose the various dishes. Everything was devoured, nothing was left, definitely a good sign of good food enjoyed by everyone. Recommend.

Be very careful with the drink prices. Our drinks cost twice the meal price and we only had 1. to 2 drinks (averaged 1.5). We were asked what we wanted to drink as we were taking of our coats. We never saw the drinks menu. The food was ok although not generous and bit oily(but ok) and service not terrible but we will not be back.

Not been since Covid, how we have missed this restaurant, the food is the best you will get freshly cooked and well presented, it is a nice cosy atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly and helpful with choices if you are unsure, can't wait to go back If you like Lamb, try the Lamb Saag Dahl it is stunning!!!!

The food was great and they handled my multiple dietary restrictions brilliantly. They made me a bespoke starter, and the main course was excellent, with no ill effects. I’d highly recommend for Gluten Free and/or Dairy Free.

I got a flat tyre just out of Dunda´s Castle, not only did they deliver wonderful food to my car making it possible to have a proper meal, but when they realized I was at the car offered to help me fix the tyre and went back to the restaurant to collectcuttlery for me... Good Indian restaurant, friendly staff; efficient service. As per the pricing on the menu, some of the dishes portion sizes are poor which at times doesn’t reflect the price but apart from that it’s a good place for socialise and enjoy a bit of curry.

I am EX-EMPLOYEE of this place. Waiters DO NOT get tips. Owner keeps all tips. Staff are paid cash in hand and well below min national wage. Owner is rude and abusive towards his staff. Horrible work place. What goes on in kitchen just DONT ASK !!

When visiting at the weekend we decided to go for an Indian meal, from the outside it looks great although you can't see the menu as it's all faded away outside. Went in and sat down and was presented with a 6 page paper menu stapled together. We ordered and the food came which was average but with the phone constantly ringing at the loudest level it was anything but relaxing. The bill came to over £60 for 2 means and 2 cokes .........most expensive curry which wasn't that nice.

Although I have eaten at this restaurant over many years and frequently enjoyed their delivery service I am again struck by the excellence of the food and the warmth of the welcome.

Food was very average and the bill a tad exaggerated. The drinks bill for 3 soft drink and 2 hot was £23.00. food bill also questionable. Felt like we'd been mugged. Would thoroughly recommend this place to someone I don't like.

Where to begin? Perhaps a month or so ago. Ordered a takeaway from here, a change from my usual (variety and all that) with specific instructions no chicken on the bone. They even called back to confirm this and I said yes. The staff were very polite, collected my food and I was on my way. Low and behold, chicken on the bone (ok live and let live and all that). Always give places a chance. Next order, delivery this time, put in around 18:30 on a Saturday evening. I know Saturday's can be busy so did expect roughly an hour at most for delivery (my other go to restaurant are always less than the hour). Delivery took almost 2 hours! No offer of delivery refund either. By then I was past the point of wanting to eat anything and it was a bit of an anticlimax too. Food wasn't that warm, pakora chewy (apart from one piece) and the naan etc soggy. I could have phoned up and complained but what's the point? In-between ordering and food arriving I did call to chase up and they said 5 mins... didnt come in 5 mins. Called again, abruptly told I would be called back in 2 mins. Never ever got a call back so doubt they'd even bother resolving a long delayed food delivery and below par food quality. This abysmal level of service is not what I expect from a Restaurant that I know has won awards in the past. But as they say, you are only as good as your last Marathon. For me, I think I will take my custom elsewhere. Sorry.

Had a great takeaway this evening from Queens Spice, a couple of Mixed started followed by a Lamb Bhuna and Lamb Tikka, very enjoyable and highly recommended. Staff are friendly, and if you have the time , have a pint of Kingfisher while you wait.

Very attentive and friendly staff and amazing food. We're not local, but make an attempt to get to Queens Spice anytime we're near. Even during covid times, recommend booking a table for the busy times (Friday, Saturday nights). Highly recommended, and we will be back as soon as we're back in town.

First Christmas Day meal at Queens Spice. Warmest of welcomes from the owner and his staff. Excellent, knowledgeable table service delivering delicious food. For me, the most pleasant surprise was that the menu was printed, black on white, in large print. I have an eyesight problem and normally have to ask someone else to read the menu. Just been in restaurant this evening and I had the most delicious patia. This is my second review and I cant state highly of what I think of the dish I recieved. I have always picked lamb patia in most restaurants I have been to and they have all differed in taste and this i think was up among the highest dishes i have tasted. The restaurant was quiet with a lot of deliveries and we noticed we were the only ones sitting in. It was a Tuesday though and raining so maybe most just wanted to stay in. People who have not tryed the restaurant should give it a try. It won't dissappiont.

Smells like literally sewers. There is a serious issue with the drains. Tried to charge £230 for 6 people by over charging and adding things to the bill we didn’t ask for. Do not waste your time 0/5

Queen's Spice satisfied our craving for delicious curries. It is such a pretty little spot (booking is recommended) and the service was amazing.

We visited the restaurant on Saturday, early Saturday evening after having been there on many occasions. I always found the pathia I always order to be just ok. I ordered the same on Saturday and I must say it was one of the best I have tasted. I have been to high end indian Restaurant's and this was just delicious. My partner said his madras was different to usual , he said it was much better and he loved it. I will be back more often and bring my family. Thankyou for a very memorable lovely dinner. For those who follow my notes know I comment on restaurants from 5* plus to well lets say could do better. But in all my 60 plus years of dining this is the absolute worst!! I am even comparing with 1980ies Siberia!! Just how is it possible to serve a Lamb Tika thats has the texture of boiled leather with a curry sauce that has zero taste!! When the Owner asked if we were enjoying our dinner I said it was basically garbage and enquired where the lamb came from - suggesting it had been killed a few times over. He was not remotely interested as one would imagine!

Unlike some of the reviews, we found this restaurant to be probably better than most high street curry restaurants. We paid the right price for high quality food that was prepared and served to the highest standards. The flavour of the meals was exceptionally good....

The service was appalling. The food was soo bland and tasteless. The pappadums were so soft and stale. Food portions were too small. 7 grilled prawns for £21 ? The manager / owner was rude and telling us to keep our toddler away from walking around not realising it’s not in our control. The waiters kept staring at us all time through felt like we were under surveillance . For £85 for 2 adults and 2 kids and a toddler is just overly priced. Being an indian the food was not cooked well with spices it was too bland and disappointing, portions were tiny. You can improve your customer service and get some taste to your food to live up to the indian food mark. We won’t be going back there again !!!
