Portion sizes starting to get noticeably smaller as prices increase. Inconsistent taste with most of the food (depends which chef is on I guess)...

Only got 5 pieces of main Tandoori chicken delivered. Food is getting very expensive from here and the flavour seems to be very inconsistent...

We ordered a takeaway (Livingston) for the extended family two weeks ago - we were a little too keen on the app and mistakenly pressed order before finishing to add all items to the order. It was going to be too complicated to try and piece things together, so we asked them if it was possible to cancel the order so that we could replace it in full, shortly after. The whole thing was a bit of an ordeal - person on the phone said they would need to clarify with manager, then said they needed manager authorisation to refund etc etc. Lots of admin. We agreed it was fine and the refund would take 3-5 business days. We are still waiting on the refund. My husband has been in touch already multiple times - no answer on FB messages and no follow-through on a promise to call him back. Processing this refund seems to be taking an awfully long time and appears impossibly complicated. We did indeed receive only the second order but are out of pocket from the first - so it's not like we had twice the food! It's rather frustrating to keep chasing for something which is in essence easily processed (from experience) and if they are unable to process a simple refund, they should not be promising that they can - in 3 to 5 business days.

Cold food, to be up to 50 mins but wax 95 mins late

Delivery was over 90 mins, starter and side was cold and chewey. Main was dry.

Very very late, got a phone call from driver saying he was in the city centre and would be 15 mins. Already late by 20 mins, he was then another 25 minutes. The food was cold by the time it arrived.

Quality food every time Big portions

Every dish was overly salty even the breads including a roti which was as thick as a naan and a little overdone.

It was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious—I ordered the Paneer Biryani, and it was superb. A must-try! The service provided by Udaya was excellent. I highly recommend this Indian takeaway.

Great food but terrible delivery service! We were told 45 minutes, then after an hour the app made it look like our food had been delivered. Called to check where our food was and was told it would be delivered soon. Overall delivery was 2 hours and was cold, such a shame.

Dal Makhani was at the top of the recommended list, so I got curious and ordered it. What arrived was something resembling a soup with chicken bones in it—and no meat. I ended up throwing it away; it was truly a disgusting experience. Definitely do not order from here!

The chicken and Lamb were delicious. But the chips were far too soggy, probably the worst I've had from a take away.

Unfortunately the gobi was all stalks and not very nice and quite hard

Been regular of this place but last few times this place really let us down.. food is good but service is going down. Yesterday ordered food as had few guests and was showing on app that food left , after 20 mins when I called to my surprise manager named Uday Kumar said your food is still here and we are waiting for our driver. Food came @9pm instead of showing delivery time @8:05. Same thing happened with us last time we ordered food and our guest left without having dinner. It’s sad that we really enjoyed food as it seems they have professional chefs in kitchen but I don’t think I’ll be ordering again as service is horrible. On top of that Uday assured me yesterday that he will let me k ow when I should be expecting call from owner as I asked to speak to owner yesterday but still no one had decency to call me…

They have stored my number and spam text me regularly when I have never given them permission. I have tried opting out but keep getting texted. Happy to amend review if fixed but still getting spammed

Probé el curry Goan Fish y Chicken Manchurian quedó impresionado por los ricos sabores y la porción generosa. El servicio fue rápido, y el personal fue amable, haciendo el proceso de pedido fácil. Los precios son bastante razonables, teniendo en cuenta la calidad de la comida. En general, es un lugar perfecto para una deliciosa comida sobre la marcha. Sin duda volveré!

The Paneer Kathi Roll and Lamb Seekh Kebab Kathi Roll from Bell Bottom were amazing! Deliciously spiced, with perfect paratha wraps, both rolls were fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend!

Este es nuestro lugar número 1 para pedir comida para llevar en Edimburgo, allí pollo corrido biryani es un ganador, pero todo lo que hemos pedido hasta ahora ha sido muy bueno. Interesante ver que todas las malas críticas son de no indios creo, así que puede ser que sea adecuado para el gusto de los indios, sin duda me cuesta encontrar tales restaurantes, así que adelante si quieres comer comida india que realmente sabe indio!

Food was good but not as good as last time when it was outstanding, their naan breads were very good and they phoned to say they didn’t have the ice cream we wanted so great customer service but we still had to claim back on just eat but another item was still missing so I had to go back and claim for that I don’t know if I’ve been refunded yet it was only last night. I sadly wouldn’t recommended this restaurant again

Super delicious Indian takeaway!! Some of the best butter chicken I have ever had. Sauce was creamy and had a wonderful flavor. Serving sizes were filling as well, we probably could have shared a rice and a naan. Would highly recommend!

Seems like an Authentic Indian restaurant after being scammed my multiple Bangladeshi, Nepali and Pakistani restaurants claiming to be Indian. Ordered a delivery - punctual, nice packaging and courteous delivery boy! Food is awesome, Dal Makhni is a must try! As an avid fan of Indian cuisine, found it next only to Dishoom! Now it is my favorite Indian Takeaway!

Arrived 2 hours after order and the portion size is very small.. Food was basic. Will not be ordering from here again.

Bell bottom is extremely welcoming the atmosphere is lovely and the front staff Leena is really nice and helpful she gave me amazing recommendations and also helpt me understand the menu. I would definitely recommend it to all wanting to try out new food or are looking for a good restaurant!! There is food for everyone meat lovers and vegetarian for anyone who likes spicy and non spicy food

Best Indian takeaway in Inch our local favourite takeout.

Got a lamb Biryani with mint and cashews. No cashews in the meal. Got about 5-6 chunks of meat whilst there was enough rice to fill 2 bowls. Average quality food missing key components of the meal. Got a vegan milkshake with it, but it was a flavoured milk drink that was just milk with flavourings, not a milkshake that had been whipped or stiffened. Overall £26 for a main and a drink where both were underwhelming.

Fantastic food, very tasty. However, the portion size was ridiculously small. The food isn't the cheapest either. We had three mains (two of which were vegan) and two rice, two chapati and and a nan. Not enough and one of us isn't a huge eater! Shame, but not value for money at would have been £50.00 for modest takeaway.

The food is definitely one of the best Indian I've had in Edinburgh. But thr delivery was really late. I had dinner at 11 instead of expected 9:30. It seems to be a problem with the restaurant cooking timing considering that the delivery happens in restaurant car so it shouldn't take so long.

Been a customer of Bell Bottom, Walter Scott Avenue since they opened and now can't go past them when ordering Indian the food is delicious and always fresh. Favourites include Rara, Chilli Garlic Chicken, Korma, Goan Fish and Prawn Curries and basically anything else we have tried. The chilli honey french fries are also very tasty and a wee bit different from the normal. Definitely worth a try even if you have a favourite Indian give them a try I doubt you will regret it. Staff have always been polite and courteous in my dealing with them.

I had placed order after 10:30pm i received at 12:30am. Had to wait 2 hours for my order. Also the quantity of food was so less. Not worth it for the price I paid.

A hidden gem! Delicious local Indian takeaway, with friendly staff and fab food (my favourite so far has been the staff.chicken curry but tbh it’s all been delicious). Really lucky to have this as our local Indian

Late delivery and delivered the wrong order

The food was amazing!! We ordered aloo tiki chat, onion bhaji, chilli paneer (hot), tandoori roti, chapati & chicken tikka was so food. The roti and chapati size was big enough for a person to eat and also the chilli paneer we ordered as side it was good enough for 2 people. Overall, we loved it and the food was tasty and service was good as well. Glad they have this outlet right besides where we live!

Ordered a lamb madras and rice with a nan bread got charged £18 and it was absolutely awful. Worst Indian meal I have ever had in my adult life. Won’t be back that’s for sure

they got 2 stars 1 for lamb chops and 1 for the gulab jamun. they where both very tasty. the biriyani I question whether is prepared freshly because how I needed it prepared was completely ignored and somewhat negligent. IF you're unable to prepare something specific then a simple phone call to offer something else would of been appreciated. now I'm left with an exspensive biriyani that's going to go in the bin. I'm unsure if your chefs are illiterate or are just plain ignorant.

the chips was dry and was cold. the chicken biryani was ok but what cold of made it better was if the chicken wasn't dry...giving 2 stars is more for the portion size was great. the delivery driver was fantastic and polite. overall out of 10 I would give 6
