Apparently, even at a hotel restaurant that you’re staying at, you need a reservation. It was ok because we were able to eat in the bar. Side note- there were empty tables before and after we ate there. Who besides the hotel patrons are even eating here? It’s next to the airport.

Hi, The menu is a suggestion, I ordered burger with fries and home made relish sauce. Waiter delivered burger with fires and when i asked where is the sauce he pointed to Packed ketchup bags and said that there is no sauce in menu. (you can see it in menu pictures) Their soup of the day was a tomato soup. That actually was canned crushed tomato's put in microwave oven. It was not seasoned an was watery. Fish and chips were so bad that we left half of portion uneaten. They also charge +10% as service charge. For awful service. Where waiter doesn't read menu and ignores it. We also paid about 70 pounds for that trash. I understand the airport tax. But if you have time just pay the transport fee to Edinburgh and eat there or if you don't have time just go and grab some sandwich or anything else in airport Sainsbury's. Also pleas look at all other reviews. positive ones are short and vague. Negative ones are long and explain what is wrong. Reviews seem to be bought or are fake. EDIT: Ivar van Diepen (owner) Please tech your employs to read the menu. If it says home made relish sauce its not a ketchup pack. After that you clout try to request service charge. but if your employees don't understand the menu you cant request service charge.

You'll be better off avoiding this restaurant and just head to the airport for much better food and service. Restaurant was almost fully empty and yet I was waiting for the worst hamburger I ever had, an hour - shocking. On top of that - service (can I call it service for what I experienced?), its charge is automatically added to your bill. Bar area seemed much nice though.

Was recently here for a work event and none of the delegates went hungry! The food on offer was of decent quality, decently cooked and served with passion, professionalism and smiles by the great Team on shift who looked after us. Thank You and I look forward to returning as a "Tommy Tourist" to Edinburgh.

We arrived early on a Monday evening after a long day of travel with a hungry four-year-old, only to be told the restaurant was fully booked—despite being completely empty. I explained that we’d be quick and didn’t think we’d need reservations at an airport hotel, but the hostess was still firm. After some back-and-forth, I finally got someone to begrudgingly agree to let us order food in the bar lounge area. Honestly, that should have been offered right away. That said, the food was good, and everything else about the experience was fine, so I’m only taking off one star.

Restaurant inside the Hilton hotel, very, very expensive. We have eaten with 2 adults and 3 children for £111, only 1 dish each, water included, 1 beer and £11 for service. 3 Fish & chips with frozen potatoes, bland fish, 1 pre-frozen pizza. An abuse and a nonsense. It doesn't deserve more than 2 stars. There were only 2 tables occupied. Very cold environment.

Posiblemente podría tener más opciones para el menú de los niños, un montón de patatas fritas ... tal vez algo como pasta y puré sería bienvenido para que no estén comiendo un montón de comida grasienta. Very friendly and welcoming staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere for dining. However very unimpressed with the size of the portion of peas included with the fish and chips. Their presentation with the dish was quite off putting, for the price of the dish and the style of restaurant would expect much better. We asked a member of staff about this but they only pointed to the peas on the plate, no resolution offered. The fish itself tasted very nice. Unfortunately the pizza appeared and tasted like a frozen one which could be bought at a supermarket.

I had a pleasant dining experience. The food was great and reasonably priced. And the staff were professional and efficient. Amazing atmosphere.

I was concerned about the can't-eat-unless-staying-here thing. So I just called. It took a while for the hotel to answer but I was able to make a reservation without problem. I had a pleasant dining experience. The food was great and reasonably priced. My burger was perfectly cooked. And the staff were professional and efficient.

Malgré la nourriture qui fut bonne, le maître d’hôte est aussi aimable qu’une porte de prison !! Il tire la gueule sans arrêt et à l’air de ne pas vouloir que vous soyez là surtout si vous n’avez pas de chambre dans l’hôtel. Une de ses serveuses m’a bloqué ma CB, je ne vous raconte pas sa réaction : exécrable en se permettant de vous prendre de haut et de vous juger. Il pensait qu’on allait partir sans payer. Heureusement nous avons trouvé une solution pour quitter au plus vite ses mauvais regards.

Staying at the hotel and figured we'd give the hotel restaurant a try, despite the poor reviews (for non food related reasons). The food and drinks were EXCELLENT. Far better than most hotel restaurants back in the US. Do not hesitate to make a reservation and enjoy. The dishes are large, well presented and tasty!

We were refused service at this restaurant on a Sunday night because we were not staying at the Doubletree Hotel, despite 2 large banners on the front lawn inviting people in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There were vacant tables at the time so we were left very confused as to the rationale of the maître’d. He also refused another gentleman service even after he said he would take his food away. If in fact, the restaurant is strictly for guests of the hotel, that should be made perfectly clear rather than advertising 3 meals on prominent banners outside.

Had a very nice lunch there. Handy because it is close to the airport. It is open to the members of the public and not just people staying there.

Weird. They only allow people staying at the hotel to eat there. Maybe it’s a Scottish thing?

This was an ok option for a late dinner while staying at the hotel. The prawn risotto was ok. Nice lemon flavor, but the risotto rice was a tad hard. Good amount of prawns in it though. The seasonal salad had a lot in it. The Caesar salads were ok. The side order of fries was notably good. Very crispy.

We ate fish-n-chips here on our way out of Edinburgh Airport and were left extremely disappointed. There was a weird and very strong chemical taste with the fish, almost like a metallic flavor (after-taste) which was very unpleasant and made the meal almost inedible. Neither my wife nor I finished the food which was not especially cheap.

Hübsches Restaurant, ansprechende Speisen und optisch schön präsentiert. Die Qualität ist gut, die geschmackliche Linie überzeugt aber nicht. Der Empfang eher militärisch streng, selbst wenn man Hotelgast ist, wird man trotz freier Tische erst mal auf die Wartebank geschoben. Lange Wartezeiten bis die Speisen kommen. Unser Kellner aber sehr höflich. Fazit: wir waren nur dort weil wir am nächsten Morgen einen frühen Flug hatten.

Even though there are several open tables, they claimed to be booked if you don’t have a room number. Used to be a Hilton member. Glad I am no longer.

Well priced meals and good service. As it is part of the Doubletree by Hilton, it caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner for guests. Service is good but they were understaffed while we were there causing a delay in the meals being served. During Covid, this is understandable.

Staff were excellent. Enjoyed lunch BUT premises were freezing. Spoiled the lunch.

Very dissapointing service. We asked for table in the restaurant, but was told the it was fully booked... There were only 3 table taken and the rest of the restaurant was empty. We agreed to have dinner in the lounge area and by the time we were finished there were still tables available in the restaurant. As a Hilton Honours member for many years i am not impressed.

Nice hotel and plenty of staff but after waiting 20 mins for my drink which I was told would be brought to my table, my wife had to go to the bar and collect drinks herself. Food was good but wait for drinks was disappointing especially when there are plenty of staff. Not what I expect from a Hilton.

The food is pretty decent, if you can order it. The wait staff is pretty inattentive so you'll have to flag them down to actually get anything, including the bill.

We met up with friends as our flights were coming & going. Casual, comfortable and welcoming. We all had the soup of the day which served to take the edge off weary travelers. We were never rushed as we chatted away. Perfect for us!

We had a really nice meal here when staying across the road at the Moxy Marriott. We enjoyed a few drinks and some bar food. My wife had a pork burger and I had a club sandwich. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly, if a little leisurely. We were not in a hurry, though.

Was staying in hotel for 1 night on business and rather than go in Edinburgh decided to eat in this restaurant. I had a very nice bowl of homemade tomato soup with a roll for starter and then a steak with mushroom and chips. All the food was well prepared and nice and hot. Also ate here the next lunchtime and had a sandwich which again was freshly prepared. Staff at both meals were very pleasant and food was served with no delays. Well worth a visit if staying in the hotel.

I've been using this restaurant a lot and have been through most of the menu to the point where I'd love a change. But that said the restaurant produces some great quality dishes, the best being the steaks and more traditional offerings of chicken, lamb shanks. The burger options I have found to be quite greasy.

If you have an early flight in the morning, that’s the place where to have dinner. Nice atmosphere and good food (Hamburger was very good), for a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and service was pretty fast

We were staying at the hotel and had dinner included with our room rate. This big bad boy burger was amazing! Nicely presented, excellent quality and very delicious. Portion was obviously massive too! Even the kids meals were pretty big. Excellent service and nice tasteful surroundings.

DoubleTree Edinburgh Airport ホテルに入って左側にあるレストランです。ホテルの回りには食事が とれるレストランなどはないので、宿泊したらもうここしか選択肢がありません。 今回は朝食で利用しました。ビュッフェスタイルですが、品数はそんなに多くありませんが、まずまず満足できます。ハギスもしっかりあるのでチャレンジするにはうってつけです。

It's a hotel restaurant and lounge. They know most people there are staying the night. There is no pressure to rush, although I think it is more of a staffing issue as the waiters I saw were in constant motion. I was happy to linger and I did not have a long wait for my first drink so it did not bother me. I had low expectations of a hotel restaurant but the steak was lovely, fries a touch under cooked. It is not a place I would go only for a meal but after a very long day of driving before a flight home in the morning it was enjoyable.

We ate here for supper and breakfast. The food was excellent and the service was great. Our server had worked there for around 20 years, and was so delightful. I recommend the haggis spring rolls.

We dined there on the evening of 21 Sept 2017. We should have known the the quality of service would be poor when we had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. We watched several servers ignore us before we were asked if we wanted a table. Once seated we had three servers not live up to expectations. Water was requested 3 times and never delivered. Meals were delivered cold, long after ordering. A requested dessert menu was never delivered to the table. Repeated requests for the bill took 15 minutes to be brought to the table. My gratuity of L0.01 reflected our opinion of the service. Food was acceptable at best.

We visited tonight and had an excellent meal. The food was fantastic, very tasty and well presented. The portions were a good size too. The staff were very friendly and our food arrived quickly.

I just wanted a quick dinner. What better than a traditional meal of fish and chips. The fish, with light batter, was delicious. It was nicely presented with mashed green peas. I was early and there were hardly any customers so I had a chance to interact with Martina. She was extremely professional and helpful. I appreciate her information. I also want to acknowledge the bartender, a polite and efficient person.

We visited with groupon vouchers for burgers . We were pleasantly surprised to see that there is now two types of buggers on offer - a chicken one or a beef with haggis. The menu is also new menu which actually had reasonable prices on it!

They have Starbucks coffee as an added attraction. The pizza was a little underdone for our liking, but the toasted it right up without a problem. My fish and chips were wonderful. Large serving of haddock, colorfully presented.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in this restaurant, certainly wasn't expecting the high quality or unusualness of the menu.....the halibut and risotto was melt in the mouth and of just the right quantity. We then shared the Apple Tatin and brand snaps with ice cream. The ice cream was homemade and had lovely flavours. Service was very good and the food arrived just right, not too quickly or slowly.

The Space is open plan and yet also has "rooms" within the room. It is well laid out and decorated. The service was excellent as was the food. Our mains were Braised pigs cheeks with chorizo and herbs polenta and Pan-fried gnocchi with wild mushrooms, sun blush tomato and truffle oil. For dessert we both had Dark chocolate mousse with textures of raspberry. Excellent!

We went here for dinner on a Groupon voucher on Sunday. Not much atmosphere as we were the only ones there and they didn't turn the lights on until we were halfway through our meal.

We sometimes call in here for dinner on our way home from the gym that is attached to the hotel and this restaurant. We started with sharing the deep fried squid which was delicious. On this occasion for our mains we both had the halibut on a risotto with crab and razor clams. The fish and risotto were both very tasty however the crab and cams were nowhere to be seen (hence the loss of one star), other than me having one small ring of razor clam, so we were both very disappointed and felt this was a bit of false advertising. I wished I had gone for the haddock and chips which was also £2 cheaper. Wine by the glass at £8.30 for a 250ml glass is the most we have ever paid anywhere for a glass of wine. They really need to offer some house wines at a more reasonable cost. Other than this the waiters were lovely and very friendly.

We had tasty food here for supper and a good breakfast. The service for dinner was excellent and pleasant. The selections were limited but I prefer a few well made to a wide range, especially where people probably only stay one night or two. The soft cheese was served cold and was not ripe which was a disappointment but one can’t have everything. I had pigeon and it was delightful, not mention uncommon on menus. Naydon Fortado took good care of us as we worked our way through a leisurely meal and evening.

We visited for dinner on a Saturday night in July. The food + service were both excellent. The food was perfectly cooked and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Our Groupon voucher made it excellent value.

We visited on Saturday night after buying a Groupon. Initial service (the man who showed us in etc) wasn't very friendly but from then on in things were great.

The Space occupies a large part of the ground floor reception foyer of the hotel and is close to the bar. The menu offers mainly staples. I found the fish and chips to be cooked well and presented nicely by pleasant staff. Better than a walk to the airport terminal for some fast food.

I had planned on dining at the Airport, but everything was closed so I walked the short distance to the Hilton Hotel and had a most enjoyable and very fresh plate of fish and chips in their recently refurbished dining area. Service was friendly and professional and it was an altogether very pleasant experience

This is a very pleasant restaurant with attentive staff. The menu is reasonable in extent but we considered it to be very expensive for the amount of food served. The fish and chips tasted fine but the small portion of chips was served in a metal container which disguised the quantity. Our other dish was the vegetarian mushroom option which consisted of two mushrooms and a very small amount of salad for over £12. Bar drinks are also expensive. Clearly this restaurant has a 'captive audience' being located where it is, but you will not find inexpensive dining options here.

A surly waiter acted as if he could care less what we wanted. We traveled all day and were thirsty so we ordered cokes as a thirst quencher. He quickly snapped up the wine glasses, but I usually have wine with food. Fish and chips my wife ordered were good a fair value for the location. I ordered fisherman's pie which was basically hot mashed potatoes, not worth 18 pounds. The other servers were very polite and helpful. Then as we finished I was planning to sign for the meal, the cashier runs up to the table and says they have to verify my card etc,. I thought all of that was done while checking in. I just paid the bill in cash to keep from further delay. Location great, food ok, servers good, one surly male server.
