Went in on a Thursday night for the quiz night. Been to a few pub quizzes this was by far the best. Bar staff are so pleasant and cheery. Would highly recommend giving it a visit

We booked out the lounge for my boyfriend’s birthday to have a get to together with all his friends. The staff were so friendly and quick serving and the lounge was spotless! All the boys loved the dart board they have in the lounge. I would highly recommend for a gathering with friends/ family.

I attended a family party in the lounge area on the weekend, the bar staff were so friendly, the size of the room was great and the night was amazing. Will definitely be back again!

We attended a family party at the centurion on Saturday night. It was a great venue. There was about 50 people there. Plenty of chairs and plenty room on the dance floor Pauline the manager and the other bar staff were so friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced drinks. Toilets were spotless Would definitely recommend

I hired the Function Room at the Centurion for a family birthday party for around 50 guests. The room was spotlessly clean with plenty tables and chairs along with dance floor. The bar staff were very helpful and friendly and the bar itself was stocked with a good range of quality wines at very reasonable prices along with beer and your usual spirits. From the initial booking to the party itself the communication with Pauline, The Manager, was excellent, she was extremely helpful allowing me to drop off decorations and food in the daytime, ensuring the room was set up with a buffet and cake tables and at the end of the evening calling taxis for guests 😊 It was a fantastic evening and the perfect place for smaller more intimate family celebrations. All guests have commented on what a wonderful evening they had so I am sure Pauline and the team will have many bookings in the future.

Such a fabulous place, enjoy drinking here and meeting up with friends! Very sociable kind staff and extremely kind customers. It is currently under new management and the changes that have taken place already are incredible! And the homemade pies are 👌🏻

Went in to check it out.. even after a few days under the new owners.. you can see the difference already. Had a really good night very reasonable prices too!

A pub to avoid decided to have a pint in it as I used to enjoy the crack after returning from a match on a Saturday. Great shame what it's like now. Noisy dump

Only left one star as I couldn't leave NONE(which is what it deserved). Where do I start? What a sh#thole. My friends and I sent a txt via messenger. I got a reply to say it was on till 1am. Paid £25 in a taxi(am disabled) only to be met with a sign saying 'private party, tickets only'. No karaoke! The party was busy. But undeterred we went thru to the lounge(accessed via the toilets). The lounge was fairly empty...about a dozen folk. What a sh#hole this was...seats with fabric ripped off displaying the foam, other seats badly stained with brown stuff...YEUK! Tables sticky and just generally run down and almost abandoned looking. To make matters worse we couldn't get served. What barstaff there was, was serving the party thru in the bar and ignoring us. It was only 8pm and we were informed there were no glasses by the barman that poked his head round to outside, before disappearing never to be seen again...a barmaid briefly mad an appearance to announce they were too busy to serve us and disappeared...lol. the ineptitude was staggering. I live in the general area(stenhouse) and was planning to make this a regular haunt if it was good. But BEWARE, this is an unmitigated disaster of a pub...AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I will tell everyone about this place.

£3.50 for a pint - not too bad. They had no crisps… can’t believe a pub would have no crisps.

Went for karaoke on Friday night; place was packed and atmosphere was amazing... DJ was playing 'hard to get' with putting song requests on for karaoke. Nice clean place and cheap enough drinks, great atmosphere. Just needs an ashtray at the door to stop pavement being littered and the DJ needs a hug

Old school bar...friendly staf and locals

What can I say. I'm from England and when I walked in it was a bit frightening. We had one lad giving it loud mouth playing dominos and some old bloke looking mean and aggressive. But then Karaoke begun I sang one song by a very Famous Scottish band and how welcome I felt. All the people who use that public house are lovely they make you very welcome and I learnt a massive lesson never judge a book by its cover. The bar staff are lovely and great at there job. Some of the reviews on here that slate the place I think that the person's that wrote them left there guide dogs outside. I felt that welcome that I will be going back the next night and I will also come back up to Edinburgh for a weekend to come back just to go to that pub to see the people that go in there. I loved every minute I spent in there GREAT PUB AND GREAT SET OF PEOPLE THAT DRINK IN THERE. Thank you very much to make me feel so welcome.....

Lived nearby for years and finally thought that would be fine to enter the bar staff directed me to where my bike would be safe and 1 hour later my bike was stolen and the the bar staff said it was my fault for leaving it and said that they could not show me cctv and then After hours of searching for my bike the bar staff miraculously said that my bike was safe around the back after hours of trying to fi d out where my bike was and after hours of being on the phone to the police and then after a purple hours of looking it, it was then found at the staff smoking area, all this place cares about is money they do not care for there customers or even public safety it is a joke of a place and should not be open as a place of business.

Maybe it's different normally. I watched Champions League finals. Luckily it was shuted down after game. BBC would say is too less gay, black and women.

We went in this bar for a few drinks as it was near our short break cottage. We got a warm welcome even though it seemed a pub mainly that locals would drink in. Lady behind the bar was nice and even though maybe a little slow making up our round of drinks was friendly. Had a christmas tree set up ect. Lots of noise from the bar area next door but it was ok.

This is not a restaurant, it is a typical UK pub, that said what is not typical is the staff turn over, the owner/licences who is about as friendly as as a great white in mating season (probably not a great comparison) as great whites are kinda watchable. A local pub for locals, if your visiting then there are much more friendly places in Corstorphine. #earlyforcibleretirementRus

You have Belhaven Best advertised at £2.95 outside yet I was charged £3.20 inside and it was a sour pint. You should clean the pipes more often.

Good service nice and warm beer a bit expensive

We visited the Centurion for lunch a couple of weeks ago me my wife and wee dog Chico. I had heard it had been all renovated and it now allowed dogs in the bar area, we were greeted by a nice barmaid who fell in love with our wee dog telling us she had bishons. We ordered drinks and food, all the food was cooked fresh and you could taste it. All and all a great lunchtime spot very cosy and friendly with great food.

Popped in for an evening meal in the lounge. Menu varied with plenty of choice well presented, staff very attentive and pleasant. Will definitely return.

Recently refurbished but now closed.

This was my second visit and the food did not disappoint. The Burger was so juicy and meaty it was delicious. The Wine was a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc and reasonably priced. I was tempted to have a pudding but was too full. I will be back again soon 😀

First day open, the food was amazing, service was amazing. Would recommend it.

Great pub. Will be getting refurbished in July 2017 . Expect great food all day. Families will be welcome after refurb.will have a sports themed bar and a comfy lounge/ eating area.

Toilets are horrific. Cigarette butts litter the ground outside. Shame because staff are friendly and they have sport on TV.

Food was terrible had Lasagne mince taste off left a horrible taste in my mouth all day upset stomach all night, Partner had burger and found a hair on his plate beside his chips would not recommend the food
