Awful food! Don’t waste your money. This takeaway has recently been bought over and the food is tasteless and staff are rude.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Gave me food poisoning. And that’s after me eating only half a bowl of food and chucking over £25 worth in the bin. Wouldn’t feed it to a rabid dog!

New owners and you can tell. Waited forever for an order in the shop (a person that ordered the same meal after me got served first) - no complimentary prawn crackers like they used to do and I watched 2 wrong orders go out in the 25 mins that I waited. Also, curry sauce tastes like honey, so not sure if I’ve been given the right thing but don’t care enough to bother any more.

I'd previously given it a star rating but unfortunately the last twice it's taken an hour to arrive and where before it had plenty chicken and beansprouts (chicken chowmain) now £10 for a portion of noodles.. I hate when a good place becomes rubbish and you waste money, hoping it was a one-off.. NO it's now NO GOOD .. won't be ordering again 😪😪

The last 3 weeks we have seen the standard of food drop. Last night, beef curry was only half a tub. Won't be going back.

Entré anoche, chico no, estuve entrando y saliendo en 5 minutos. Tenía costillas de sal y pimienta, claramente he estado sentado por algún tiempo tan duro como botas viejas... cortes enormemente grasos y baratos sin duda. Sal n pimienta langostinos estaban bien, en ambos platos una aspersión de pimientos, cebollas, etc ... y me refiero a una aspersión. Arroz frito con huevo... por un lado no podían equivocarse, pasable. Quizás una mala noche para ellos... Estoy muy decepcionado ya que normalmente se cuidan un poco más en lo que hacen... ...tristemente anoche será mi última visita.

The picture of both the meals looked great but in reality they were just awful, my salt and pepper chicken was very overcooked, the other meal of crispy chicken with honey was like a bowl of soup, so watery, the only thing that was good was salt and pepper chips won’t be back….

Placed an order on just eat and waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for delivery, which I thought was fair enough since it’s a Sunday. I called for an update around the 1 hour mark, the man who answered the phone was rude and spoke in his own language to a colleague and was not interested in my request for a delivery update. He hung the phone up on me. I then requested an update from just eat, and I received a notification to say my order had been cancelled. I called the shop to speak with the same guy who couldn’t have sounded less interested if he tried, telling me the drivers finished for the night and I’ll not be getting my order. Shocking customer service. Defo won’t be ordering from here again.

Great Place & Food..... but please deliver in either plastic or preferably aluminium trays, but NOT they polystyrene trays, otherwise would've been 5 stars across the board.

We ordered shredded beef in sweet and sour with fried rice and Singapore chow min!!! Egg Fried rice was tasty and delicious, the shredded beef was just average, and the chow min had a really disappointing overly turmeric taste.

Always polite friendly, and the food quality is tastey and delicious. Recommended.

BEST BLACKBEAN IN EDINBURGH, I’ve tried most Chinese west of Edinburgh , and I can categorically hands down say Asia banquet is the best by far, dishes never change always the same . I ask for a blackbean with a little bit spice with thin dry salt and spicy ribs, chips are awesome and crispy, noodle excellent veg fried rice awesome all in one dishes superb for price. Order right from there website cheaper then doing just it Uber, You’ll not be disappointed, I’ve recommended to a few friends and family that now only use here, the shop is clean and tidy also. Can’t recommend enough.

I was looking for a new Chinese place nearby as the 2 I liked closed down. Was skeptical at first given the rate, but decided to try and was pleasantly surprised about how good it is! Tried 3 dishes in 2 weeks and everything was delicious. I however got my food early (5-6pm), so unsure how a later time (presumably when they're busier) would affect the quality.

As a new customer I've been sampling different dishes at Asia banquet. I'm happy to say I've been delighted with the quality and value for money i have explained. Compared to similar takeaways in the area Asia banquet is by far the best and I would highly recommend it to my friends. Further more the lady (Chloe) behind the counter is very welcoming, polite, and pleasure to speak to. She always remembers my name which as a customer makes me feel valued. Well worth a visit!!!!

The food is incredibly salty. The sauce, chicken and rice. All LOADED with salt. It was all I could taist. Went straight to the bin. Whoever is cooking is clearly now trying the food before serving.

Had the Hot and Sour Soup, Chicken Curry, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong Style and salt pepper chips tonight. What I can say is absolutely the taste when I've been a trip to Hong Kong many years ago. Absolutely amazing. 10/10 i would give them.👍

We used to regularly order from Top Chef as it was our favourite Chinese takeaway in Edinburgh, so we were disappointed to see this change but decided to give it a shot today anyway (just in case it was just as good!), but unfortunately it fell a bit short of expectations. The chicken curry was the nicest thing we ordered, however the inclusion of mushrooms was, in our opinion, questionable. The spring rolls were good, if lacking some flavour. As for the dry hot & spicy shredded chicken? I'm not sure if maybe we received the wrong item (salt & chilli chicken, maybe?) but it certainly wasn't dry. I was hoping for something more akin to salt & pepper chicken, but it wasn't anything like that. The portion of fried rice was also lacking in size, it was more like 80% of a usual portion. Not enough to go with the amount of curry sauce you get. Overall, about 3/5 stars. Not terrible, but not the takeaway for us.

This was my favourite Chinese in tha area as top chef, ordered last night 23rd April never got told it was new owners ordered our usual meals delivery arrived with a Asia banquet menu food was at best poor won't be back 😡

I have been getting deliveries from Top chef for years with no problem, a few weeks ago we asked for refund as the order was wrong and now we are banned from ordering, what a joke

Delivery driver was so rude and started arguing with me. Food was horrid and went in the bin.

I placed an order for a mild chicken curry. That's exactly what I got. Mild being absolutely tasteless and very runny looked and tasted like it had been watered down. Please beware don't ask for a mild curry. Pretty disgusting and inedible. Waste of money.

We always just phone up then collect the food we order; by the time I've walked there it's ready. Simple - cheaper, faster and fresher. Top Chef always have lovely food. great portions, good prices and fast service. PS If you want to wait an hour ask Just Eat to deliver it might not taste as good and will cost you more but don't worry! They will be making the food soon, once they've run all the small family run places out of business.

Great Chinese Takeaway, Good food always arrives hot and fresh. Good portion sizes and very tasty food. The Salt and Chilli Chips are particularly good, but you can't beat the Singapore Special fried rice.

One if the best chinese tasting food but cash only!

This was always my go to Chinese as the food was always good but last Christmas we had our worst ever so hadn't used it since.So was in the mood for a good meal so thought I'd give them another go,unfortunately I wasn't impressed and wont be back.

I order there food though Just eat, was the best Chinese food I have tasted up in Scotland. Yes it was a little late on the delivery but the driver apologised for it so I would say that is good service he had trouble find my place, the food was still hot. I would recommend this place for the food alone.

Ordered food that came almost 2 hours late and didnt get my order right. I phoned up to tell them that my order was wrong and got told if I wanted my order I'd have to go and collect it myself when I dont live near enough for me to go there easily so I ended up having to wait another hour and a half to get my food delivered

Wasted £19 here, food was stale, old and shocking!! My daughter is 38 weeks pregnant, and was having pains all night, and also myself and son. Spoke to manager, and was arrogant, and not interested. NOT EVEN A FREE TOILET ROLL!!!! WONT BE BACK! 💩💩💩💩

The Food is good, especially the chicken Foo Yung but don’t trust the delivery drivers! They always claim not to have enough change when you pay cash just so they can pocket the profit. This has happened to us on the last two occasions after place an order online. There won’t be a next time, would rather just place an order for Collection. Beware...You have been warned!

Only gave one fried rice portion instead of two tonight

Always ordered from this place for my Chinese meals as it WAS the best around. Spent 26.80 tonight on a delivery and the breast of chicken fried rice came smothered in sauce and the chicken didn't look or taste like chicken breast. The barbecue sauce was conjeeled. The rest of my order was of good quality. I called the restaurant to complain that they'd made a mistake and was told I could get another breast of chicken fried rice sent out but I'd have to pay for it and also pay the delivery driver again. So your mistake leaves us a meal down. No apology or nothing Will not be back after this.

Got food from here tonight and will never be back again! Salt and pepper chicken wings were covered in hairs, egg fried rice had long black hair in it and the salt and pepper chips had a fly come out of the box as it was opened. Absolutely disgusting waste of £15 that’s for sure

I have been using this take away for a long time now. This is the first time I’ve had a problem. I ordered munch box along with other orders however I received munch box ,chicken wings,nuggests,rips all dry its like its been at leat 3 to 4 hours ago . I rang to complain and the staff wheren’t totally helpful ,been on hold for few times ,third time no 1 willing to answer the phone!!!!
