A wonderful little spot but closing soon and will definitely be missed. Warm and friendly staff, great food and fabulous collection of sour beers. Here’s my cheeky flight - Giant Lollipop, Sugar N Spice and Stoopid 🤩
Excellent course worth a visit if you are in East Lothian.
Club house is welcoming and pro shop is well stocked. All staff are helpful and on hand should you need any advice or service.

Best this pub has been in years.. We didn't eat, but food aroma was very enticing. Great live music most nights and a lovely new pool table.. Hidden gem.

Visted here for dinner on good Friday. We had made a booking but it wasn't busy, and we were quickly shown to our table by Andy.
We both choose the beer battered fish and sticky toffee pudding. The fish came in great time and was beautifully presented, it also tasted incredible. The batter was so crispy, the chunky chips were huge and roasting hot, and the fish was so flaky. We quickly devoured every last bit. We were asked if we wanted a little break before the puddings came out , which was a nice touch. Hot sticky sponge with a hot toffee pouring sauce and vanilla ice cream. Can not fault it at all!!
Service was brilliant, andy, we believe his name was, made us laugh and was really quick at clearing the plates and bringing our drinks. He chatted a wee bit to us and offered us a seat in the bar ( comfier chairs and couches ) once we had finished our meal.
Overall a great night, and we most definitely will be back. Thank you!
Lovely link roll, sausages are delicious and latte perfect and great prices! Both the ladies behind the counter are so friendly and welcoming, definitely be back ☺️
I went for dinner with a friend and was really looking forward to the meal (the reviews seemed great and so did the website and menu). We booked a slot for a la carte menu without realising that if we would like go for the “sharing experience” we should have booked a different time slot (perhaps if this could be better clarified in the website it would have been useful). We were immediately told that changing the slot was not possible as we didn’t have time. We felt rushed during our meal, and although we were finished our main courses within our 1h30 slot, we were not asked for desserts and we were just asked to finish our drinks in the hall because the table was booked for other people…so we felt rushed to pay…Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the food as I hoped, as I was stressed with the time pressure…
We had a really enjoyable breakfast here. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating of our baby and buggy. The food was delicious- glad we found this little spot.
Ever wanted to dine on a ship? Now’s your chance! This restaurant is on the top floor of the Fingal hotel. It’s a bit hard to find, but well worth a visit. Even just for the artisan cocktails or the view of the harbour.
Came across this little cafe while stopping after a work meeting and so glad we did!
Such great value for a large roll with filling of choice and was enchanted to be served tea in a real China teacup and saucer!
Friendly service too thank you will definitely return when in the area!
So nice to go for a nice coffee at Lantern Rouge. Greeted by Nicola in her usual friendly way. Joined at my table by one of the locals for a good old blether. Place was full and buzzy. Families, friends and a group of local ladies catching up. I come here not just for the coffee but the social hub which is much needed these days. It's a great place and I love it!
