The best restaurants in Argyll & Bute Central Scotland

We found this to be a very interesting book shop with lots of crafts and other interesting items to browse and look at. Clothes and good coffee and cakes upstairs. All good quality stuff - no ‘tat’ but interesting as well. Worth a visit.

A hidden gem! Cycling around Dunoon and stopped here for a coffee! A bookstore crammed with an eclectic mix of books, which also doubles as a gift shop and serves coffee and cake! Lovely service!

You'll never find another pub like it, brilliant. Also, it is very entertaining when you get a good crowd. Highly recommend

The worst ice cream ever! It was so old that it had the frozen crystals and also tasted gummy like it was sitting in the freezer for an eternity. I’m not sure if it was due to being before their busy season, but it shouldn’t have been served for almost 4 BP a cup. Customer service was also lacking.

Went to coaster this morning for a breakfast this been awee while since last there for one just lovely and hot no complaints what so ever staff nice and helpfull

Great breakfast, good choice (even for vegetarians/vegans) and friendly helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast - next time we might even try the breakfast cocktail …

This shop really is the hidden gem of Dunoon. There are a few things to try, that cannot be missed. The first is the cinnamon bun! - Well worth pre-ordering, make sure you get enough, as one will not be enough. Next, the handmade chocolates are to die for! - Little hits of delicious chocolatey goodness. Beautifully flavoured and presented. Yolanda is really personable and friendly. If you need a bespoke birthday cake, or something sweet to tackle your cravings… this is the go-to place.

Fantastic staff and lovely steak pie. Compliments to Jay the waiter for his welcoming manner and communication skills and one of the chefs Martyn for asking me if my meal was satisfactory. It was. More than.

An amazing cafe with amazing food and staff, our go to place for lunch, can't recommend enough. The food is super and made with local ingredients, homemade baking and ice cream is second to none. Be sure to visit and even if your not staying on Lismore the ferry trip from Oban is worth it.

First visit to this delightful cafe - the service was cheerful & thoughtful with delicious home bakes all served on lovely china - we will be back - a real treat & fun

Person answering phone abrupt and quite rude! Wouldn't take card payment over the phone for delivery. NOT impressed :-(

Brilliant fish and chips, the best I’ve had in a very long time. Shop is busy but service is quick. Took the family. Everyone was very happy.
