This shop really is the hidden gem of Dunoon. There are a few things to try, that cannot be missed. The first is the cinnamon bun! - Well worth pre-ordering, make sure you get enough, as one will not be enough. Next, the handmade chocolates are to die for! - Little hits of delicious chocolatey goodness. Beautifully flavoured and presented. Yolanda is really personable and friendly. If you need a bespoke birthday cake, or something sweet to tackle your cravings… this is the go-to place.

Contacted them by email about a cake for a special occasion and after three weeks had received no response which was disappointing.

Yolanda kindly made exactly what my Son wanted for his birthday - he doesn't like cake so always had banana loaf. She not only helped out when I was in a.bind (away packing my Daughter up from uni) she kindly went above and beyond and delivered it when she was passing on her day off. Much appreciated oh and was deliciously moist!

I first got in touch with Yolanda in August 2021 regarding making my wedding cake for March 2022. She responded saying this was fine and we would touch base later regarding finer details. I messaged Yolanda on the 18th January with the wedding approaching, but received an automated reply. We were confused about this as she was continuing to post frequently on social media. My Mum tried to phone and message her on the numbers we had been given, and I sent a final message on 30th January to ask if she could please remove our name from her diary as we had not had the courtesy of a response. Yolanda’s reviews are very positive and I understand that her cakes are very good. However, this was an appalling thing to do to people in the lead up to their wedding at an already stressful time. To continue to post on social media without the decency of a reply is the height of bad manners and no way to conduct a business. I would warn anyone thinking about using her service to be aware of this.

I was so very pleased with the chocolate cake that Yolande made for my son's 50th Birthday. How lovely for the people of Dunoon to have such great cake shop. Yolande is a very talented cake maker.

My daughter's wedding cake was to be made by Chouxmake's Cakes. We messaged to check details, make arrangements for collection etc and received no response. We messaged again. And again. If Yolanda was unable to fulfil the order she should have had the decency to make contact and tell us. Instead we were left sourcing another baker five weeks before the wedding. No way to run a business. Very disappointing, not to mention stressful !

Yolanda made lemon and vanilla two-tier cake for my wedding that was exactly what I had hope for! Elegant and beautiful - and absolutely delicious. My husband and I can’t stop eating it! Thank you Yolanda. So special.

Popped by and ordered a chocolate cake for my husband.Yolande is bright bubbly and fun. Also passionate about social problems and is involved in many projects.Cake was delivered and looked wonderful.chocolate cake, chocolate butter cream and chocolate icing. Lovely selection of muffins and celebrating cakes made to order. Yolanda tries very hard to tailor cakes to meet your needs. Not only that but had held a couple of events, an afternoon tea event and also ceilidh and cakes both very popular and different.

Absolutely love here! staff so friendly and nothing a problem ..they also host cake decor parties in the shop or mobile. cakes are toooo die for ..soo much choice!! any cakes made to order very creative .so go on order a wee 6 box of cupcakes to go or book a wee party for your darlings they will love it ..

you can order cakes from here for every event, I had one for a birthday which was pretty and fresh but not quite following my remit for the recipient, however if you want something that isnt 'cake boss' then this is the place.

Chouxmakes Cakes made our son's 9th Birthday Cake - a perfect replica of Captain America's Shield....and even a Captain America Figure to go with it...:-) A total success as the kids at the all party loved it.....even better was the chocolate sponge with butter cream icing - Amazing!
