Queenie scallops+bacon are a must when at the harbour. Great range of condiment sauces. Lovely setting, indoor dining option also available.

Very nice fish supper. The misses said she couldn't tell the difference between cod or haddock so ordered both. She still canne tell the difference. Cash only which was a nice change.

The fish and chips here are fine but the grumpy service leaves a lot to be desired. Visited on a not busy August evening. The woman serving was rude about a customer behind their back and seemed to dislike the English tourists she had to serve, being very abrupt with them. She even blatantly served locals before other waiting customers, there is no excuse for that. We could have cancelled the order but were fascinated by how rude the server was. Tourist or not, we all pay the same money and deserve the same level of good service. I suspect the majority of customers are tourists and without them the business would not survive. There are plenty of other places to get fish and chips, so give this one a miss.

This is where I had the best fish and chips of my life.

The food was very popular with my group of friends. A good range of seafood and classic fish and chips. I would rate it much higher but for a few things that could be better. 1. It’s cash only so a hassle if you dont have any. Not sure why you would be cash only these days. At least give people the choice. ‘Card only’ also bad for those who don’t like using cards. Let the customer choose how they want to pay. 2. Packaging. Everything comes in heavy duty cardboard boxes which seems like a massive waste of resources. Unless there is some regulation that says otherwise, why not use paper? 3. Rubbish. I finished my meal and handed the box back but was told to put it ‘in our bin behind the clock tower’ The bins they refer to seemed to be the town’s bins, not the chippy’s, totally overflowing with their boxes and over run with giant seagulls pulling it all apart. They should provide a way of dealing with their own waste as the pier gets blighted by rubbish by the end of the day. Removing the box packaging would help with that.

Very fresh and good food with large portion!

Food was great and good value. However I ordered mussels and chips which were served open. We had a 10 minute walk back home so by the time we got back they were stone cold and all the sauce from the mussels had soaked through the polystyrene holder and leaked everywhere. We did ask if they could be covered or wrapped but were told they were not 'allowed' to use any other packaging!! Everyone else had closed and wrapped fish and chips and they were still pipping hot by the time we got home. If they can't serve them properly as a takeaway then maybe they shouldn't be on the menu. You don't know until you have ordered them.

Excellent chips completely ruined by the."mushy peas" which were in reality mashed unseasoned garden peas, and therefore sweet. In the country that invented chips and mushy peas! Bleeurgh.

Nice fish and chips, not the best but definitely above average. The fish was cooked very well and the chips were tasty. The batter could be improved and become more refined, other than that we thoroughly enjoyed this classic dish. Really lovely service, they ran out of curry sauce so gave us some tartar sauce for free. Also, there are vegan and gluten free options!

First of all, you have to pay in cash. There's a notice on the counter. The woman serving was quite offhand. Not particularly friendly. Fish and chips were mediocre. Much better fish supper in my home town of Arbroath. And it's cheaper in Arbroath.

I don’t know why this place is so highly rated, but we just had the most below average fish & chips I can imagine… chips were not crunchy…

One of the best fish suppers I've ever had. Superb food, friendly service and the place is spotlessly clean. Highly recommend this place, coming here for a takeaway before getting the ferry topped off a brilliant holiday for us!

Vegan fish and chips! Big portion, great chips and tasty vegan fish made with pea protein. Huge surprise to see vegan fish and chips in such a remote location, and we loved it. I’m giving 4 stars because I’m an animal rights activist, only 100% vegan places get 5 stars for leaving animals alone ✊🏻

My husband and I tried the breaded scallops and a classic haddock and chips, and they did not disappoint! The scallops and haddock both tasted so fresh, really delicious - the chips were also really yummy too, will definitely be visiting again next time we’re in the area.

At last there is competition for fish and chips in Tobermory. Until this year the only takeaway outlet for fish & chips here was the “Fisherman’s Pier” caravan. I have had fish & chips from this outlet in the past & struggled to find anything nice to say about it, so extremely pleased that “Hook’d” have opened. We ordered 2 fish suppers and joined the queue to wait on our order being freshly cooked. During that time I also nipped out to the cash line to some cash as “Hook’d” being a new business don’t yet have a card machine set up yet. It wasn’t long before our suppers were ready and we certainly weren’t disappointed! They were freshly cooked large fish with a huge portion of chips. The fish were thick and just fell apart, covered in a thin and crispy batter cooked in clean fresh fat. All prepared in a very clean chip shop by friendly staff . We cannot recommend this chip shop enough and will definitely be back.

Tasty food and the staff were really friendly and nice. Had the scallops and they were fantastic.

We were torn between getting food from here or the Fisherman’s Pier van opposite. So we got a portion of haddock and chips from each. There wasn’t lots to choose between the haddock, although HOOK’Ds had slightly crispier batter and was a bigger piece of fish. But the chips were far better @ HOOK’D. Proper, traditional freshly cut chips, as opposed to pre-cut gastro pub style skin on chips from the van opposite.

In my opinion, the portions were too generous, the fish was ok and not too greasy, but the chips were below average. A bit of a wait given the many people taking takeaway and paying only in cash.

We ordered fish & chips but there are various other alternatives. It's a take away so they then had dinner sitting outdoors at the port. The food was good

Delicious, fresh food. We ordered the battered black pudding supper (a treat only when in Scotland!). Thankfully we shared the pudding as it was nearly a foot long. Super chips, not frozen, and a decent serving, even enough for a cheeky chip for our pooch! Cash only.

A delicious and very fresh fish and chips that is suitable for celiacs. The menu offered is varied. The portions are very generous. There are a lot of people, however the waiting time is not very long. Please note that only cash is accepted. Then we sit on a bench to chat in front of the marina ;)

Really lovely fish and chips. We had the scampi supper and the weather was fine, so we had it sat on the pier. Perfect! Just make sure to bring cash as they don't accept cards.

Fish&Chips are ok, but not in any way special. Staff could be more friendly and the atmosphere as well.

THE best haddock & chips we’ve ever had!! On holiday so not able to have again soon but would highly recommend it for a chippy super if on Mull and near to Tobermory 😁
