Lovely food, lovely views from the terrace, excellent staff. I have wanted a nice portion of Mussels since arriving in Oban area over a week ago and this was my first chance - it did not disappoint. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals.

Priceless place. Great beer and lovely intimate atmosphere, didn’t try the food. My only criticism would be the last renovation of the waterside patio. The floor lighting is blinding, totally inappropriate to the location and ruins the nighttime atmosphere and vista. A real shame and they should at least keep it turned off.

The fish and chips was good, but the mussels and the sticky toffee pudding were some of the best I've had! Very good coffee as well! Will definitely visit again!

Great wee pub. Especially nice since it’s been refurbished. Good food although did run out of a few mains but all equally lovely. Quite busy on a February Saturday night. Great wee pub quiz despite coming second! Good banter and lovely staff. Can’t wait to come back and try out the new decking as well xx

Arrived at 7.33pm on a Saturday evening. Told “kitchen closed at 7.30” I don’t think I’ve ever felt so unwelcome in a bar before. No food, bad atmosphere, will never visit again. Rude and unfriendly barman, slagging off his boss to his colleague.

Amazing place, newly refurbished. Friendly staff, stunning view from the new patio. A must for the mussels when you are in the area!!

Visited on 19th November in the evening. Not many in to be fair due to weather. Not very impressed with our food , meat in pie was chewy , partly cold , chips were frozen. For the price paid was disappointing. Maybe just an off day

Sorry folks, had the service been that bit more attentive this review would have added a few more stars but that lack of interest from the young staff working the day we came in made for a great dissapointment.The only time any one of the staff smiled was when my hubby left a tip which he agreed after was not worth leaving. The lack of attention & dare I say friendliness to customers from a few staff really showed the place up. Maybe it was just an off day but maybe put more effort in if not. I never leave bad reviews but felt this was one place it had to be said.Its sad as the place has so much going for it.

We had our anniversary meal in the Oyster bar. we were very happy we had 3 courses and drinks £80 . The food was excellent hence we had 3 courses. Service excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Lovely little place with the best views on the balcony. I had the mackerel which was delicious & perfectly cooked. My husband had the Stornoway chicken which was also delicious. Great service but I advise you to book in advance as it can get very busy. Staff offered take away when they were full. Highly recommend

Lovely lunch and a brilliant tall dude serving us. He was a great chap to chat to and very attentive, other person serving was a bit flippant and would stand by our table without talking and expected us to lead the interaction. This is what has brought the Atmosphere rating down to a 4. When chatting to the staff on leaving she walked up and interrupted without any acknowledgement of me, this was pretty rude. The tall lad was super and welcomed us and our dogs so well. Food was awesome and pricing was fine but a bit high..... We were there for lunch and in the car so no alcohol but looked like a great selection of drinks. Menu was very expansive for food.

Lovely place to eat. Updated patio area which is a suntrap with fantastic views. Lovely food and great service.

Really tasty dinner and two real ales were available on the bar, both in excellent condition. Would highly recommend!

Really nice lunch here after a morning on the water. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered and the food was ready within 15 minutes. The Cullen Skink was delicious and something we hadn't had before but would definitely have again. The new rear deck overlooking the flooded Quarry is beautiful if you get a sunny day. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a bite to eat or drink

Best Cullen Skink that I have had in a long time Sticky toffee pudding is very good as well Friendly staff Just not sure about the Hevey Metal music but was not to loud

We turned up on arguably one of the busiest days of the year in Easdale, twinned with it being the most perfect weather. First of all, the drinks selection is excellent. We managed to get seats on the terrace, and umming and arring about getting food or carrying on with our journey. Spoke to the chap at the bar who was extremely accommodating - even though we hadn't booked, he said he would squeeze us in. Got the menus, ordered the food, everything was absolutely excellent. The oysters were some of the best tasting we've ever had. Highly recommended.

Called in for a drink and a meal . We were met with such indifference at the bar , that we decided not to each .

The service was good. But the kitchen closes at 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., which they don't say. And if goods from far away it's a little frustrating

Took the longer scenic drive back from Cruachan Dam and suddenly in the late afternoon the teenager wanted to try out seafood so we called the pub 30mins ahead - they managed to find us a table and we all loved it. Pretty drive across Seil and warm welcome on arrival - I am vegetarian and my Mac and Cheese was delicious, son loved his langoustines and oysters, and dad enjoyed his chilli.

Mussels wer absolutely delicious, just as I remember them. We had to call on staff a few times for attention ,plus found it difficult to get in entrance due to aquward parking by unconcerned drivers.

Was there a few days ago at lunchtime. Staff not friendly. I felt as if I was interrupting their chat. Egg sandwiches good but cullen skink was appalling. Place not busy but was put at window where 3 builders were working although there were plenty other tables. Should have complained. Should have sent back soup. Should have taken a picnic.

After 2:30 p.m. not even oysters because the kitchen was closed! Until now, I didn't know that they can only be eaten cooked. There was only coffee and beer. It's a shame, this really spoils the joy!

Lovely welcome, even when we changed our reservation time at the last minute! Ordered scampi and the Highland Fling chicken, both delicious and ample servings, and a gorgeous brownie for dessert. Nice chat with the owner and made to feel welcome in this lovely little town. Thank you for your service.

The chicken was lovely but not a fan of the chips. Our friends ended up with soup (which they said was average) as no mashed potatoes available to have with their meal. Certainly not as much choice as when we were there 2 years ago

Best fish and chips I've tasted. Fish so fresh, batter crispy, not greasy. Nice, friendly waitress, very efficient. Well run restaurant. Would recommend!

Dropped in on the Oyster bar by chance after visiting the local museum...(A stone thrown away). Lunch served 12 to 3pm although the last meal orders is 2.45pm. Our party's meals were bacon roll, sausage roll, bacon and sausage roll, Cullen skink and finally chilli nachos. Could not fault any, all the food was tasty, fresh, served quickly and politely.

While visiting Ellenabeich my wife and I visited The Oyster Bar for dinner. Busy service lots of people going around. We were ignored by the barman, eventually a young woman asked if we were OK. I'd booked our table earlier so I knew we'd be expected. Meal was good, but very expensive! My wife's fish burger looked very sad, a piece of battered fish in a roll. I do think the staff need to work on their customer service and not look like they wish their doors weren't open for service. It's not hard to put a tiny smile on your face.

Found this place by accident and so pleased we did. Just looking around the area and came across The Oyster Bar at the harbour. It's being refurbished and the patio area will be a great addition when finished. Good menu choice food delicious and owner gave great service. Fantastic views across the islands.

Good quality and well prepared products in a remarkable location. The staff is attentive and ready to give you information about the ferry. A step to add by going to Easdale.

Nice place to enjoy at a trip to Easdale. Nice beers and whisky. We were a little to late to have a bite, but had a nice time after a walk on the island. Nice staff!

Lovely place, very recently renovated… we really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, the delicious food (especially the oysters) and the service was superb! The owner was very welcoming and found us a spot in a busy fully booked evening. Would definitely go back again!

We ate dinner there in July. I had a delicious bowl of Cullen skink, and my teenage daughter had the cajun chicken sandwich - She said it was the best chicken sandwich she'd ever had!

The Oyster Bar & Restaurant on the Isle of Seil offers an excellent pub experience! The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, enhancing the overall atmosphere. The live Scottish music band adds a fantastic touch to the ambiance. A perfect spot for a delightful evening. Highly recommend for a memorable time with great vibes!

I asked for the local beer and was given an overpriced poor quality beer from Alloa. I said to the bar staff this isnt local no response. please dont pull wool over customers eyes.

Best mussels I've had in Scotland, delicious taste. Cullen skink soup was great to. Good service. Even brought a pair of handmade earrings in there to, they sold other crafts to. Open fire and fabulous views from the back porch x

Probably the best langoustines and oysters I have had in my life 👌 You may have to pre order these depending on time of year. OMG amazing.

Great little place. Didn't eat but menu looked good.

We called in for lunch after a boat trip. Vegetarian options are very limited, and the ones we had were pretty poor. The macaroni cheese was bland, greasy, and lacking in cheese sauce. The pasta was vastly overcooked. The vegeburger was a cheap breadcrumbed thing. The only saving grace was the chips, which were hot and crispy. It strikes me as a case of no competition, no ambition.

We unfortunately visited on a cold wet day so unable ro sit outside and takein the glorious views of the Islands. We sat inside and gad a drink and a meal., the pub is quite small and I intimate bit the welcome is like the sevice was great. The food was lovely and everyone enjoyed their meal,my granddaughter had the best portion of nachos I have ever seen all the meals were excellent and would recommend if your in the area to give it a try.

Wer hätte gedacht, dass man hier so tolles Essen bekommt. Wir waren in einer Gruppe hier und hatten u.a Muscheln, Fisch und Chips und diverse Nachspeisen. Alles war frisch und sehr lecker und auf der Terrasse hatten wir einen mega Ausblick

Nourriture classique de pub, le fish and chips etait bon, en revanche le service n est pas très efficace et l accueil très moyen. Mais peu d autres alternatives quand on manger après avoir visité l île de Easdale..

5 Sterne für die Kombination aus leckeren Essen, sehr freundlichem Service, normalem Preis, Ambiente und Informationen zu Wanderungen. Und dies trotz der Monopolstellung als einzige Bar oder Restaurant im Dorf. Wenn man wie wir bei sonnigem Wetter einen der 4 Tische auf der Terrasse zu ergattern, alles perfekt.

Very friendly and relaxed staff, reliable in every respect. Unfortunately the food was very average and relatively expensive, the burgers were nothing special at all and not too well prepared and the Chips were dispensible.

Wir hatten Fish&Chips und Burger. Der Burger war ohne Soße und der Patty war komplett trocken. Pommes waren OK... Fish&Chips so lala.

Not impressed at all. We'd had a long day and they fitted us in after an hour. My sons burger was raw inside. My steak and ale pie was a mush of beef with a lump of pasty on it, served with warm mushy broccoli and carrots. My other son had overcooked pasta dish.Very expensive Sorry to complain but for the price not good at all and dreadful service

Particularly loved the Cullen skink. Great range of food on the menu. Quirky interior. Dog friendly. Really efficient staff.

Had a fantastic lunch sat overlooking the sea and islands. Seafood was amazing, Oysters, Mussels and Langoustines. Would highly recommend.

Stunning wee location & the pub had a lovely look from the outside & a cosie atmosphere from the inside however the barman serving at the time couldn't be less interested. Made no effort to make any eye contact when I was ordering drinks & he showed no hospitality or people skills, he was also eating food from a plate with his hands while preparing the ordered drinks. I can only hope this wasn't a regular thing as it was a lovely wee place.

Cannot fault anything, I have been many times over many years and these New people are excellent.

Enjoyed a lunchtime visit with good fresh seafood.Only concern is the building could do with some tic in parts - especially the toilets that are needing more than tlc.

Wow, what a spot to visit. Ellenabeich well qorth the drive to see thus hidtotic village. Didn,'t eat here but I am sure it eould be excellent. The pub itself had lovely welcoming fire. Music on some evenings.

A most amazing place, a wee bar/ restaurant in Seil , peace and quiet . Lovely friendly service, a most beautiful bowl of soup after a long walk. Great views. Obviously a place where locals meet. X
