Not many places to go for a cup of coffee in Tighnabruaich but this tearoom did not disappoint. We were staying near Tarbert and got the early morning ferry across. After a long walk we were ready for coffee. What a lovely tearoom. As we sat there fresh home made scones came out so we ordered coffee and I had a scone. It was the best fruit scone I have ever had - and I’ve had a lot. The lady was friendly and we were not rushed. Highly recommend

Everyone at this cafe was very friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. Keith, in particular, went above and beyond, offering an alternative salad as special had just sold out. He then very kindly gave us a lift back to Portavadie when we discovered there was no longer a taxi service in the town.

Visited today with friends. Although their meals were enjoyed, I had a coronation chicken panini which was not very tasty, was too sweet for me to eat anymore than one bite. Coleslaw tasted "off"... after telling staff member whilst ordering lasagne, my comment was ignored, got lasagne but unfortunately didn't enjoy that either, very little beef,(and too much stodgy pasta)chips and a small side salad and in my opinion, definitely not worth the £11.50. Been a few times and unfortunately won't be back

Working in Dunoon and found this cafe for breakfast, staff friendly, food was really good and at a great price, lots of items on the menu, cakes, pies, pastry’s etc, will be back again next time I’m visiting for either business or pleasure.

We did not stay the night. Only there for lunch. So can't comment on rooms. But yesterday I ordered spicy mac and cheese and it wasn't till I was a few bites in that I found meat in it. I asked the staff "is there meat in this" and was told "yes", In which I replied "it didn't say that on the menu", I was then told "no it doesn't". I was shocked. How would I ever know there was meat in the dish if it didn't state that on the menu. 5 mins later when I saw the menu again it had been updated to say the mac and cheese was NOT vegetarian. I am shocked that the menu didnt already say there was meat in the mac and cheese to begin with. But took myself as a vegetarian to order it (eat some) and realise there was ham in it and then the menu was correctly updated. I used to love coming to the Coylet. But unfortunately this experience has put me off coming back. Not even the view can save it. If I had known there was meat in the mac and cheese I would never have ordered it. But this would then leave only ONE option for vegetarians and NONE for vegan. Really disappointed The only reason never gave 0 is the chips were actually very tasty. Also, not one person asked about dietary requirements before taking our order. This is a requirement in any establishment that serves food. Edit What mac and cheese isn't vegetarian unless clearly stated otherwise. The main menu had only two options. Bean burger and spicy mac and cheese. So was I to assume neither was vegetarian. It did not state there was meat. You didn't state the goats cheese starter as vegetarian, nor the bean burger. So am I to assume you had no vegetarian meals? I also asked if there was meat in it and when told "yes". I actually said "I am vegetarian." Not "Is it vegetarian?". We had to take our desserts to go as it took too long to come out plus no cutlery was given. The bar staff was very happy to give us our wine in paper cups. After the terrible mistake of not clearly stating meat was in a meal. No bins outside so we left the tupperware which had a dessert in it on the table outside. We took our cups on the bus. Not on the pavement. Also the van almost knocked us over. So I stand by the small doodle in the dust on the back door.

We have had a fantastic visit, staying in rooms with a stunning view of the loch. Pleasant interior design enhanced the rooms. A welcome bath and shower and a very comfortable bed. Food was also delicious -gluten-free not an issue. Friendly, courteous staff rounded off a lovely sojourne by Loch Fyne.

Lovely cafe with a bonnie view. We enjoyed both the food and service. Very well run establishment with tables outside offered in strict order. The drive down to the area is beautiful and as long as you drive with courtesy you’ll have no problems. Contrary to a previous review there are a number of enjoyable walks nearby. We explored Cormonachan woods nearby and enjoyed spectacular views down to Loch Long. If you plan to visit it’s worth having a walk planned -even just a stroll through LochGoilhead just to make the most of your trip.

Been coming 40yrs. Nostalgic visit, as moved to Gibraltar. Half Restaurant closed, told fully reserved. Empty tables, that could have been turned over, ( by time limit on bookings, during busy spells. We were not told, Takeaways could eat outside or by the table in the Deli area. We had to ask, if these table were available!!! Come on, you were better than this!! Bought Kinlass Fillet from the Deli. We’ll try again next year!
