Visited today with friends. Although their meals were enjoyed, I had a coronation chicken panini which was not very tasty, was too sweet for me to eat anymore than one bite. Coleslaw tasted "off"... after telling staff member whilst ordering lasagne, my comment was ignored, got lasagne but unfortunately didn't enjoy that either, very little beef,(and too much stodgy pasta)chips and a small side salad and in my opinion, definitely not worth the £11.50. Been a few times and unfortunately won't be back

This place is improving with time. The room's a bit loud with lots of hard surfaces and echos so sometimes conversation can be difficult with those hard of hearing but it's a nice place and the food is good.

Very picturesque views over the Sea building quite old and looks grubby outside but food very reasonably priced and quick service. We had full breakfast for two little greasy overall but tasty

We visited this place whilst visiting the caravan park nearby. Wow, did not disappoint. We visited yesterday for dinner. 2 adults and 3 kids were all fed and happy, the food was so fresh and well prepared. We liked it so much we returned today for lunch. The macaroni is amazing, home cooked and portions are generous. Tuna mayo which I am really fussy with, was out of this world, fresh, made and delivered perfectly. Kids had kids meals, burgers and Mac+cheese which they all thoroughly enjoyed with a fruit shoot included. Very reasonably priced and friendly efficient staff.

Two of us went here, and both had the Scottish breakfast and a coffee. The meal looked very well presented. The black pudding was one of the best we'd both tasted in a very long time. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and courteous. The meal was certainly worth what we paid for it. We don't live in the area, so it's unlikely that we shall go there again. But, if we were in that area again, we'd both be pleased to return. Thank you for your hospitality.

I call it Debbie's place - you'll know it when you see it! - said several of the locals on Islay. A large group of us visiting the island had spent the morning dotted across it doing various different activities. I'd asked in the brilliant Islay Natural History Trust where locally we could grab lunch and was directed to the Bruichladdich Mini Market. The place itself is run by Debbie, her mum and her sister. It's the ort of place that is the lifeblood of islands the world over - half grocery shop, half cafe - all welcoming. Debbie's sister was in charge when a group of 15 of us rocked up unannounced. This would normally not have been a problem - plenty of outside seating - but that particular day the ferry had been cancelled, along with much of the stock for the shop and cafe. Undeterred the staff there made us feel welcome and pulled together a lunch which went down very well with all - children and adults alike. Think sandwiches and toasties with great coffee and a good choice of cold drinks. They also serve some amazing cakes - I'm told the rocky road was fab, I know the chocolate cake was! Although initially under pressure when we all turned up, the staff seated us happily and we had all eaten within about 15 minutes of arriving.

Visited to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The setting on the shore of Loch Fyne overlooking the ruin of Castle Lachlan is stunning and we were able to enjoy a bottle of fizz outside our shepherds huts where we would be spending the night. After a late afternoon stroll to the castle ruins we were ready for our dinner. The tasting menu served in the evening is locally sourced and is probably the best I have ever tasted. We chose the wine pairing which was excellent and presented beautifully. After a great nights sleep breakfast is delivered to your accommodation and this is another delight. Cannot fault this place
