Inedible sandwich, when shown to staff, they were rude, offered no appology or refund, management replied to my complaint by lying. And removing my post on facebook. Staff need training in customer service and possible hygene methods. If they had not of charged us for our food before we got it i would have handed it back and refused to pay.

We dropped into this pleasant little cafe whilst out on awayday motorcycle trip. A good little find. Very tasty rolls with bacon, sausage. Excellent tea and served in a proper tea pot. Apparently the coffee was also good. Added bonus of being able to sit outside, it being a lovely day. Shall certainly return. Thank you.

Would give zero stars if could, the woman serving was so incredibly rude, it was shocking that a person feels they can speak to customers in such a way, ZERO customer service skills. This used to be a great place for vegan breakfast, but now they have no vegan options and treat you like dirt if you ask about it, sadly will never go back here.

A nice welcome from the staff, which was entertaining listening to their banter, with Ukrainian staff too. Our food was hot, and well presented, with a nice coffee blend. There’s seating both inside, and outside, with a nice wee sun trap facing south. Not too expensive either, so we don’t think twice about popping back in here. Recommended for breakfast or lunch, last hot food orders are 1430Hrs.

This was our third visit for breakfast and it will be our last. There were four of us and only three of us got our breakfast. I asked the waitress where the fourth order was and she said she would go and check on it. Some time later another woman came out and told us our order had gone through twice and there was no burger on it. She further informed us if we still wanted the burger we would have to come back inside, order it and pay for it. Her manner was hostile and extremely rude. No apology was offered for the mistake which was made by them, in fact, she was insinuating the fault must have been ours which it definitely was not. While I appreciate mistakes can happen, there was no excuse for the manner in which she spoke to us. A simple apology and an assurance she would rectify the mistake would have sufficed.

My crew mates and I visited when staying overnight in Holy Loch marina recently. We all chose the full Scottish breakfast. It was absolutely superb. Freshly cooked, hot, perfect eggs, sausage, black pudding etc. I particularly recall the hash brown cake - clearly a Scottish version and delicious. If you’re hungry then definitely go for this. Excellent coffee too. We all agreed it was a 10/10 and very good value for money. A superb brunch. We’ll be back sailing in the Western Isles next year and will make a special stop-off there for another breakfast! I don’t often leave reviews unless the place really stands out, and this place does. Very friendly and attentive staff, and service. Highly recommended. Thanks guys, for feeding four very hungry sailors!

Easy to see why this cafe is so popular...a friendly welcome, interesting surroundings and good value, top quality grub. Popped in a couple of times in recent days and enjoyed - thoroughly enjoyed - a jacky tatty with chilli con carne...so often at venues this simple dish can be a big disappointment but this really was top notch...a real hearty meal for just shy of 7 squid. Needless to say I'll be back soon to explore their menu further!

I’ve rated this average because the first two times we went for breakfast it was amazing the man that cooked the food was really friendly and an amazing cook who cooked our breakfasts to order perfectly. This was July/August time, fast forward to Late September when I thought I would treat my parents to the same breakfast to be met with two different people who were terrible. The man at the till didn’t even look up to welcome us when we came in - we were left standing there waiting for 5 minutes. Then when he eventually took my order he seemed baffled at the idea of an extra shot and his attitude was awful. I honestly felt as though I was putting him out just giving him my order. So, we eventually get seated and breakfast comes out and it’s nothing like the standard of breakfast we had before. The bacon was 30% fat that hadn’t even been cooked down, my Dad had black pudding that wasn’t cooked properly all the way through. I sent back my child’s breakfast asking for the bacon to be cooked a bit better but to be honest it wasn’t much different when it came back. They got my order wrong (I didn’t even bother to say anything at this point I was so over it all). The girl doing the cooking was nice enough but I don’t think she’s had enough experience to be doing everything by herself. I went in again for a takeaway coffee a week later, thinking it might be a one off, after all everyone has bad days, to met with the same guy who has not one ounce of customer service in him. Again, felt like I was inconveniencing him by putting in an order. I’m so disappointed because we thought we had found a wee gem but it really hasn’t turned out like that. I would not recommend it anymore unless I knew the original chef would be there.

We stopped off at the cafe to grab a coffee and a scone last weekend. The staff were lovely, hand sanitiser was available and the scone was delicious. But as I was sitting eating I felt uncomfortable as every time I looked up I was being stared at. I didn’t think anything of this and finished my coffee. I was just saying to my husband that this was a good find on our road trip when the manager (only presuming she was the manager, I didn’t see a name badge) started giving her staff a telling off. I was utterly disgusted at the way she spoke to them in front of everyone and this made us very uncomfortable. She was complaining that they were serving people, saying if it’s closed they have to turn customers away. We were not under the impression it was closed when we went in as there were two lit up signs saying ‘open’ and only on leaving did we see that there was a board near to the door that had open 10 - 4 written on it (it was 2pm) but also closed written underneath, but at no point did anyone say that they we’re closed.

Probably the most disorganised service I've ever experienced. Have been a number of times (it's a breakfast stop-off point on one of our regular cycle routes) and each time the service has been poorer than the last time. On this most recent visit, we waited for at least 45 minutes for our food to arrive only to be informed that they had forgotten our order. On the times we have been served food, it's been very ordinary, they don't know how to fry an egg and the less said about the scrambled egg the better. We've finally learned our lesson and won't be back. How can they get service so wrong??

Both were tasty, and served reasonably quick, although it was busy. There is also a small shop area in the café. Prices are reasonable. Only issue is that as they fry food, and the kitchen is in the same room as the seating area, there was a smell of the cooking throughout the café. Don't know if the over cooker extractor was broken when we visited? Well worth a visit.

Forget the silly reviews from people who have hardly reviewed any places. I only post reviews for Pam se I recommend and this is one of them. First thanks to the team and especially the lady who described her self as also a travel agent in the week. She made us so welcome and enhanced our visit. My French friend described the venison hot dogs as the best he had ever tried and he had previously lived in the US. I think the waitress may have mistakenly thought he was joking when he said it but he wasn’t. He continued mentioning it well into the afternoon. My BLT was perfect. And I decided to take a fruit scone home to saviour after our bike ride. I normally judge a place by its scones and these fruit scones were absolutely packed with fruit. Best I have had in quite some time. Clean loos and pleasant outside area. All in all thanks we real,y enjoyed it.
