Two good evenings whilst visiting Dunoon.

Excellent real ale. 2 hand-pumps, usually one is on all the time. Food was not being served the night I was here, but the menu looked very good. Friendly bar-staff.

Great Rangers pub, friendly atmosphere. Love the salted chips. 👍

Great place in centre of Dunoon. Very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome. We watched the football there and it was a good atmosphere.

Went in for an evening meal before the Miller Crossan gig. One of us had the Chicken Strips Burger, the other the Steak Pie. Both of us really enjoyed it yet again. Home made Steak Pie 😃👍 Highly recommended.

Good food. Good ale. Good company.

Young team downstairs. Where I belonged upstairs. Disappointed only by that it hadn't actually been bought by a Sheikh as were the rumours.

Eten was niet mogelijk enkel snacks. Heel vriendelijke vrouw, maar dit eerder een zaak om een pint te drinken met een snack.

Une petite pause dej' surprenante ! Cuisine "en panne" donc dans la carte il n'y avait que les "tapas" dispo mais c'était très bon. On a eu un peu l'impression de les embêter...mais on a passé un bon moment quand même.

Great local bar! Pool table and friendly staff. Stopped in for a few bevies after a long day on the road.

The only real ale that we could find in Dunoon. Not many food options when we visited.

Excellent local bar. We had a Airbnb just down the street. Stopped in for a pint and a bite. The food was delicious. The staff was great and had some fun conversations with the locals. We had such a good time we came back again the next afternoon.

Great local pub, enjoyed the live music from the Jack Ruby 5 in May 2023.

Lovely little bar with Cask Marque real ales, great service, comfy seats and on Tuesday live folk ensamble (we had flute, fiddle, guitar/banjo, bodhran and keys all excellent). Good selection of other beers, wine, gin etc

Recommended by the local RSC. Was looking for family friendly place to watch the game. Friendly staff and punters. Free pies out at half time.

Popped whilst on holiday in the area. We had a warm welcome, decent real ale and good snacks. Lovely pub.

We’ve recently popped in for Craig’s Chinese New Year event. Everything was super tasty and authentic. The bar is also very well stocked with few rare treats. Well done Craig, Philippa and team!

I enjoyed a few visits to Ingram's Bar while staying in Dunoon. The bar staff were friendly without being over the top. It was relatively quiet, although it is a sports bar, and the quality of the drink is ok. If looking for a pleasant bar to visit then I would recommend Ingram's Bar.

First time visiting, went for the quiz night . Really friendly staff, haven't eaten there yet but probably will in the future. They have Two bars, Pool table, large selection of beers / lagers.

Cheap pints, nice atmosphere, doggy friendly. Nice people overall.

Put off by a dog sitting on the seats, walked in then straight out....dogs have legs leave them on the floor!!! Unhygienic 😭

Good pub staff where friendly and pleasant,Steak and Ale pie was lovely,Fish and Chips was top notch and The Beef chilli I really enjoyed.Great pint of Tennents lager.And staff was bril for our 46th Anniversary.

Friendly bar with good selection of beers and spirits etc. Staff were very pleasant. Very close to town centre although it is up a fairly steep hill from the High Street.

Visited while cycling in the area. Very friendly and accommodating! The band were great and so was the food.

We stopped off for a few drinks Walked in no one in the area so went through another door which lead in to another bar area. Few people sitting at the bar had to order drink over them. The member of staff behind the bar didn't seem to understand me ? Was speaking English Felt she was very rude. Other member served us & we ordered some Chips which where really good & more drinks. On leaving the guy who had continued to serve us said Goodnight & Thank You. I'm sure the place is better later on in the evening or another night because we had checked reviews & all looked good

Great food, great service and reasonable prices. This was the best pub out of the few we visited over a weekend.

A double bar pub that's split levels. Both are accessible from the street. The bar has one cask ale pump and they deserve the top cellar rating. They have McEwan's 80 and Tartan Special as well as Tennets larger and Budweiser with 2 ciders. Plus a good section of gins and whiskies. Even the locals a don't bite and make you feel welcome as do the the staff. So you won't go wrong by popping in for a few drinks if you've crossed the Clyde for a taste of Argyll. Plus dogs are allowed in, so it has to be a great bar.

Taken over by Craig in 2020. Still our favourite pub in Dunoon. Great food and friendly service. Best place to watch a variety of sports.

A mess ....not so friendly people inside ...all they seem to do is want to argue ....the customers that is ...drunk ...not great for the tourist ....maybe just arrived on a night that there was complete stupid persons there .....the guy behind the bar was a nice fellow but....!!....

Myself and my family have just finished dinner at this pub and what can I say except wow. The food was fantastic, even my fussy 4 and 6 year old loved it and couldn't get enough. My husbands fish and chips was delicious and the portion size was great. Will definitely be back next time we visit. Thank you to the owners who were so friendly and helpful.

Visited for lunch today, great service, very friendly service and food was lovely would defo recommend. Pet friendly too which suited us.

We came into the pub today after searching for somewhere to eat,food was delicious and the lady who served us was nice and polite the toilets where nice and clean will go back

Great if you want to watch the footie. Staff are friendly and polite. They however seem to be running down their spirit availability some beers which is a shame as it is a nice place to pop into for a quick drink

Cosy family run bar, lunch menu and bar snacks served with a friendly smile. Well stocked with draught beers,cider,wines and spirits. You need to pay a visit.

When we 1st entered I thought oh god footie is on. Saturday afternoon. Expected. I then noticed a lounge with a pool table empty. So we ordered drinks and Went there. Toilets are spotless which was a relief after going to bar opposite and deciding they were too filthy to use. Cheap for drinks. 50p for a game of pool..we were like is that all. Loved it staff friendly. The lady with the blonde hair came and said bye when her shift had finished which we thought was so nice of her. And they sell scampi fries. Pigs in the proverbial. Fab few hours here.

Was looking for somewhere dog friendly for lunch. Asked a lady who was entering the pub and she impolitely said you can go downstairs via another door. Asked gentleman behind bar if he had a menu. Was handed a menu and gentleman walked away. Ordered food and sat down. Barmaid put cutlery and condiments on the bar so I went and got them. Again I got up and collected drinks and food. Service second to none( not). The personality of the staff shone through(not)Wouldn’t recommend a return visit. Food was ok

we like to do a tour of the pubs, so popped in but was dead, think about 6 people, clean friendly enough pub, got a pint for myself and a woo-woo for wife (vodka,peach schnapps, cranberry juice) i should have asked before buying, came to approx £11, OK it was a bottle of cranberry juice but was a bit floored with price. Didn't bother again, theirs a lounge next door but always seems empty

We were looking around for a pub lunch and spotted this from the Main Street. Thought we’d go and see and not disappointed. Nice friendly staff, decent food and drink at a reasonable price. Place was clean as were the toilets. We both agreed we’d come back here.

Only been in once but the décor inside is clean and comfy , the staff were very friendly its a pub I would go back to when I'm in town and want a quiet drink with a friend .

We go here every year when on holiday in Dunoon. Great little bar, tucked up a side street off the main shopping area of town. Fantastic menu, and the best soup ever! Cheap and cheerful, lovely friendly staff. Even though its a year between visits, the staff always remember us. Great place.

George and Unity are a credit to the On-Trade! Excellent banter! Great, Clean Bar and Lounge! Excellent Jukebox and Pool Table in the Bar! Smashing range of Draught and Bottled Beers and Spirits! The Pub Grub on offer is great quality at affordable prices, the fact that the locals use it regularly tells its own story! Best pub in Dunoon!

Returned here as visited 3yrs ago. Remember delicious food and great service. Again i wasn't disappointed. Great bar food, good bar selection, very reasonable prices.

Recientemente estuve en Dunoon por cuatro días y probamos varios pubs. Era mi favorito desde Ingrams parecía más un pub tradicional (no se oye música a todo volumen y no lleno de lujo bebidas de color). Sólo un antiguo pub simple con algunas personas agradable hablar con tiempo tener una pinta o una copita (o ambos).

Gran almuerzo en un pub. el personal es muy amable y servicial. No tenian el zumo de mi wee que queríamos detrás del bar y me dio un picotazo y compraron algunos para ellos. Solicitamos algo que no estaba en el menú, y esto no fue un problema para minette en la cocina. Recomiendo una visita muy limpio =)

Popped in for a quick pint today, used to work in Dunoon and spent a fair bit of time in here and mclures just down the road, friendly as ever and a refreshing pint

We stopped in here for a wee Saturday afternoon drink and were made very welcome. Staff were friendly and helped us find our way around town would recommend 🍷

Bien, había un montón de gente local pub realizando y gozando es como todo el mundo conocía. Me senté y vimos un partido de fútbol para un poco mientras tenía una Guinness y luego cuando estaba listo para ir sólo a la izquierda. Si viviera en la zona, creo que probablemente loca con este lugar, y era razonable. Si quieres pinta frío y un ambiente agradable volvería aquí

Sólo tenía refrigerio en el salón con algunos amigos, pero observó que tenía un buen menú y comida enviada a otras mesas de aspecto agradable. Ambiente agradable, personal agradable.

Friendly staff, lovely food and you can take children in for food. Macaroni cheese is yummy and a must try !

nice friendly bar ,warm, clean and good service. Prices are reasonable as well , public bar and lounge.

Local bar owned my a nice couple, George and Unity Jarvie. It has a small bar with a pool table and a great streaming jukebox. The lounge is nice with a lovely atmosphere and a good range of beers, spirits and wines. There is also good food served every day from lunch til diner.

We just popped in for a drink, but were made very welcome. Nice and clean, homely pub. Would go again.

My wife and i popped in here on Wednesday 13th April 2016 for a quiet drink as it was my wife's birthday, what a lovely wee pub and the customers were so friendly ,the lady behind the bar was Sheena, who was so helpful and extremely friendly, The next time we are in Dunoon ,we will definately be popping in to Ingrams Bar

Great pub, food was really good got the spicy chicken burger was really good! Staff where great and also nice atmosphere in the pub and also has a pool table!

this bar lounge does food most days it has agames room and sky sports in both rooms 6 televisions and if football on free pies at half time

Our first visit to Dunoon.after a stroll around the shops.and watch the Wavereley paddle steamer embark.We were on the look-out for lunch .And Irwins Bar fiited the bill.Very friendly lady behind the bar ,, having asked for a menu ..We ordered Fish & Chips.peas mmm yummy the wife said,me i had a jacket spud. beans and side salad ,well cooked and tasty,And 2 large cups of rosy.lee thats tea to you and me Not long to wait for our lunch , and not expensive ,,Recommend a visit if your in Dunoon..

Had lunch here recently as was passing and thought it looked ok for a cheap and cheerful lunch - i was given blue moulded bread on an open prawn sandwich (which in fact was only one flimsy slice of bog standard bread) covered in tiny wee prawns with not even a bit of salad garnish but only a spot of coleslaw - it was £6.95 which was overpriced. I showed the staff the mould and they said changed it - it then came back toasted which it hadn't been before so very strange - needless to say i couldn't eat it. I then ordered coffee and that was the cheapest undrinkable instant coffee i have ever had. It was horrendous.

Good wee find for a bit of inexpensive , home cooked lunch . the steak pie was lovely , I am told the fish and chips was excellent , and the lentil soup was like mum used to make !

nice old fashioned pub with good selection of ales, and Scotch on offer.locals seem to enjoy a vodka and glass of wine, I preferred the rarely seen brews of England's past.

Another friendly pub in Dunoon. First time we had seen Youngers Tartan Special in decades! Well decorated and clean.

Popped in here for a drink on a day trip. Really friendly staff, she even thought she recognised us from TV. Famous we are not. :) We will be back should we visit again.

We go here for lunch every time we r in dunoon x clean , friendly pool table for the men . Nice lounge for lunch .

Its more of a pub really, I do wish trip advisor had a separate category for pubs, instead of lumping them in with restaurants! Maybe they do serve meals, but we didn't see one the four evenings we went there. I can say they do serve a nice pint and small bottle of wine in a quiet atmosphere, which went down very well with us, and the staff were very friendly too.

We went in to watch the Scotland football game,and at half time the offered food to the local,an visitors hot rolls an sausage plates of warm chips, totally free of charge,an the locals all blethered away,friendly,an there hospitality was off the scale,must visit if your in Dunoo.

This is a nice wee bar they do lunches but we didnt try as we had already eaten, the bar staff were nice and friendly. The bar sits up the hill .

Friendly and welcoming staff. Eat here a lot when I visit Dunoon. Food traditional pub grub but excellent and reasonably priced. A we gem of a place as is the landlady.

Quiet bar with good selection.Busy on Saturday but well run by barman ChrisGets busy aboutv11pm mainly with locals. Lunch food is good and home made.

It was a Saturday afternoon so what could be better than a nice bowl of soup a refreshing pint of Real Ale and watch the football results

Highly recommend their open prawn sandwich and friendly service. Macaroni cheese would be my next choice on the varied menu
