Rainy day, who doesn't want to stop 😂We stopped to have a beer and relax a bit. Finally, the weather was right to taste a Cullen skink (fish soup) which was wonderfully good. Our first and indeed a treat, truly a marvel. Warm welcome also so I really recommend Thank you so much

This is a little gem of a pub in Oban Staff are so friendly and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately we were staying at the other end but it is was worth the walk to have a great selection of drinks and a warm and welcoming atmosphere visiting this gem is a must ⭐️ Thank you for your hospitality and an very enjoyable visit to Oban.

After traveling to many countries and chating with different people in all of them, this is the first time that I felt a bad feeling. I asked a quick question to the waiter about the best transport to go to Fort William and he seemed offended that I dared to ask something else than just a drink. Maybe he has never seen a Spanish person and was scared. It's important to travel and see world, otherwise you may end up stuck in your little town with a close-minded vision of anything else.

Rude treatment, weird place, strange behaviour by the waiter.

I went in just after lunch for a pint mid week; the bar staff were very friendly, as were the locals. A welcoming clean local bar... had the bonus of Gadhlig signage.

Good pub, seems to have one part for Oban people and another for visitors. We went on a Wednesday night, there was no live music.

Not sure about all of the great reviews. The atmosphere is all that's good here... classic pub feel but that's where it ends. I draw the line when the bartenders don't know how to pour a nitro properly.... it changes the taste of the beer altogether. This is common knowledge so I thought. As I watched them pour several more nobody seemed to care. I guess most people don't really know how a beer is supposed to taste when poured the right way. Very disappointing.

Don't know who paid the other reviewers. The staff is absolutely wonderful but the locals are terrible, they despise tourists, probably just the town drunks but you're not welcome here.

Great traditional bar, dog friendly into the bargain. We stopped for a drink and had homemade soup and a roll, proper home made soup it was lovely. Bar woman gave both of our dogs a treat. Will definitely be back, pity you don't do meals at tea time.

There are lots of pubs in Oban. Aulay's Bar is one of the few proper good pubs. Good food/beer/service/prices and dog friendly. Highly Recommended

Went in for a pint, found an old man stuck in the toilets who was very drunk, bar staff quite happy to keep pouring drinks to people that have clearly had enough, but was a fine bar

Great prices, staff are top drawer. Only 4 star because of the fartiness Someone kept dropping gas and it was rank, its actually why we left. If someone had lit a match we'd have gone to hell in a handcart. It was so bad, I asked my Mrs to break my nose. Good crai, well priced, staff are top notch

Pub in Oben is enough for you nice. It is usually quite full, especially with men. There is no problem but if you come in with a partner they will say something. Although always nice, they will say something to her. It is a very nice place and a very good price. Always keep in mind that Scottish people are very sociable and not offensive at all. Two pints £7.60.

Best bar that we found in Oban. Pleasant staff and good beers on tap. Good mix of locals and tourists. Only downside was that kids (13 years old) were not allowed into the lounge bar at 5pm for dinner when I had understood they would have been allowed in until 8pm as food was being served. This may be a local room but did not happen next day in a similar bar in Fort William.

The window says 'good food'. Not. 'No food at all' would be better. Quite nice for a beer, but not fun if you want to eat somewhere and everything is full. So they don't serve bar meals.

Great little pub in the centre of Oban. The staff are friendly as are the locals, it has a great selection of beers and spirits especially the whisky. The pub has a very good atmosphere and the surroundings are very nice, we enjoyed the company of some locals who made our night very enjoyable.bar Prices were very reasonable and I would definitely recommend this great wee pub
