After being shut out of 4 other restaurants in the area we were a little surprised to see only one other pair of diners when we sat down. But starting with the very generous and authentic papadam that came with 4 very tasty toppings to the superb palak paneer we were very impressed with the presentation, amount and flavours of all our food. Bonus- we spent less than most of our meals so far in Scotland!

An intriguing tasting menu with a delightful fusion of flavors—vibrant and full of character without being overwhelming. The fish and curry dish was definitely my favorite.
The only downside was the additional £25 for the wine tasting menu—it felt a bit steep.
Delicious food! Absolutely try the local pie and dessert of the day. The staff was kind and responsive, and the place gave really local pub vibes. Although a bit old-fashioned, we had an overall positive experience. Peaceful and relaxing to eat at!

Not somewhere I would go now, when Davide owner this place it was amazing. Since it was taken over and changed to Nero I have not really bothered with it.
Owner and chef very nice but Gabrielle the waiter is a bit hands on with the other staff and diners for my taste.
Absolutely brilliant weekend. Family time with sister brother in law, brother sister in law and sister’s sister in law and husband. Well that’s a bit of a tongue twister. We had a fabulous weekend together.
Weather wasn’t great but the service and meals made up for it. Food was of the highest standard. Good quality and healthy home made recipe’s with plenty of it made our visit all the more special.
Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable.
Very clean with an emphasis on Covid 19 safety precautions.
Every member of our group agreed that they would certainly go back for another visit, so we have booked rooms for the same time next year.
A big thank you to the staff who worked so hard to make our stay so enjoyable.

My husband and I are staying at a caravan park close by, it wasn't clear this restaurant is within a holiday home resort and signage is very confusing.
There is no mention of this restaurant on any signs around or in the park either.
However, once we finally went into the main reception area there was a small sign stating Luna Rossa room.
We had a lovely Chateaubriand and the staff were lovely.
Please update your sign posts! I am sure this will bring in more customers.
Nice environment with home cooked food. Points off for soft doughy rolls served half of which I trimmed off and length of time from sitting down to actually getting my coffee which was nice. Also no wi-fi
Sailed here, having started in Bodo, Norway. Enjoyed Westray and the Pierowall Bar/Restaurant. All 3 of us were happy with our food in the restaurant and drinks from the bar. Realised there was what seemed like a 'locals' bar when I walked to the toilets.
Went with my family for dinner tonight. We got a warm welcome on arrival and the staff were very attentive. The choice was ample and would please all tastes. The portions were more than adequate and freshly made. I would strongly recommend that you give the Cornhill a try but book in advance as very busy restaurant.

Possibly the best service experience I've ever had. We had dietary requirements that made ordering a little complicated but the kitchen staff went out of their way to accommodate, not only going to the shop to buy new ingredients (which we did not request) but also cooking a new dish that was not on the menu.
All of the staff there were extremely welcoming and personable, and that combined with the 'old inn' setting and the warm atmosphere inside made for a memorable experience.
Will definitely return and couldn't recommend more!
