Excellent idea just two menus veggie or meat & fish. Five courses you can mix and match between the two. Food was excellent, excellent flavours, worth the price. Be aware it's a taster menu of small plates. Would recommend the selection of wines they pair perfectly. ❤️

A delicious tasting menu with matching wines for each course was stunning. Starting with a mussel croquettes which was a burst of flavour sets the tone for the rest of the courses. The staff were great and explained the courses and wine well but not overkill. Over all atmosphere was great very relaxed, a busy place but were in no way rushed. Just a great experience all round!

What a find ! This restaurant currently only does a tasting menu of 5 courses in the evening and 4 at lunch however if you want Michelin star quality food at a very reasonable price then this is the place to go . The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable on their food and wine . Highly recommend this gem on the south side of Glasgow !

We adored this meal. The value for money is crazy and each of the dishes were divine. £20 for 4 courses / £25 supplement for matching wines. The focaccia was served warm and was perfectly salted. The fritters were lovely as was the cannelloni - such a generous portion. The dessert was probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, was totally taken by surprise. Will be coming back for the dinner menu as soon as I can 👌🏻

Had a lovely meal here tonight. Tasting menu was good, pudding definitely the star. Very reasonably priced. Simones service was great (a 1 man army) looked after us and made our experience! Will be back soon :)

The food and paired wine is fantastic. Highly recommend. I returned here today and increase my review star rating as the food was exceptional, the staff were very attentive and enthusiastic, and we had a great time. My only minor note was since I last visited they've put up a low level curtain across the window. To me, this detracts from the experience. As we walked to go in we thought it may be closed due to this look, and inside you are strangely blocked from seeing passersby. I'd remove this if it were my restaurant.

Excellent tasting menu! We enjoyed all the courses. Great service, though we had a little longer wait for one course, staff apologized quickly and we got a complimentary limoncello.

Very balanced tasty and colorful dishes. Nice consistencies and full of flavors.

First time eating here and will definitely be back. Great service and the food was beautiful. Lovely little place. We got the paired wines and that is a must.

My friends and I had the lunch menu and matching wines, which were both absolutely delicious. The trout tartare was incredible and the wine pairings were well thought out. Initially, the service was great but was really let down at the end when a server came to our table and asked why we weren't eating our dessert. We were told we needed to finish quickly as they were closing. Whilst I totally understand that they needed to close to prepare for the dinner service, we felt like we were being rushed and ushered out, being brought the bill without asking. Meanwhile, there were 2 tables still drinking wine and a server pouring one group limoncello. It was a real shame as it spoiled what had otherwise been a great experience. It might be advisable for them to stop taking later bookings if they can't accommodate them.

portion sizes are so small - I do understand that it's a tasting menu but this is beyond. the parpadelle was stunning as was the whipped butter but we left the restaurant hungry despite having had "four courses" although imo bread and butter isn't a course :-) probs won't be back

The staff was so nice, the tasting menu was fantastic! Along with the coffee!

Coley with soft, spicy sobrasada — consider it the Spanish nduja — and clams is a crowd-pleasing idea. But the sauce is on the oily side, swilling across the plate, the portion of fish is thumb-sized, and those clams turn out to be a clam. At these prices I’m not expecting the whole fillet but it does feel like a very small amount of food. Burrata raviolo is rolled too thick, diminishing its silken elegance, and the accompanying cavolo nero pesto is too salty.

Brilliant tasting menu with matching wines. Quality of food and wines was excellent. The service is friendly and the wines and different courses were all briefly (but well) explained. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

What a great and welcome addition to the food scene of Glasgow's Southside. We have seen plenty of promising-looking places pop up and close down again, simply because they were lacking in the domain that mattered most: the food. Not so with seven21. Their 5-course tasting menu is not only very affordable. It's also delicious and very pretty to look at. They have two options: A meat/fish one and a veggie one. If you ask nicely, you can also mix and match. We have been there six times now (four times for their inaugural menu and two times since the menu change). Their inspirational vegetarian dishes made us bring several of our vegetarian friends. Because you are able to combine the veggie/non-veggie options a bit, it never got boring for us either. We slightly preferred the pervious menu but the current one isn't disappointing by any means. Looking forward to the coming iteration. The interior of the restaurant is tastefully decorated. When it gets busy, they open the downstairs section which is more intimate than the more urban upstairs area (we like both though). The service is very good, and so is the wine list. We hope seven21 is here to stay.

4 1/2 stars. A tasting menu with flight of wines. Portions are just right and the wines well balanced - not too powerful. Service relaxed and friendly. The flavour combinations were ideal, the technique very good. Particularly liked the prawn/schizo starter the duck with radicio and the closing cardamon chocolate.

At long last we have a restaurant in glasgow that is able to create a delightful tasty dish at every course. There were six of us and everyone loved all four courses.

I had a really tasty meal here a few weeks ago (2 meat and 1 vegetarian menu). Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We went do the paired wines, which matched well. Towards the later courses of the meal, service became a little disjointed and unpaced, one wine appeared a few minutes after the dish, then the dessert wine appeared so long before the dessert that even with slow sipping. Desert was very delayed, so unfortunately we had to rush off very quickly after. This is the only reason I couldn’t give too service marks, staff were very friendly throughout. Overall, this was a good experience and amazing value for a taster menu.

Several small portions for a fixed price.

We visited recently to try the new brunch menu which we were quite excited about! While the flavours were nice, unfortunately the portion sizes were VERY small. We had both finished eating in under 5 minutes and left still hungry! The pictures on instagram were misleading as the plates are the size of small side plates. It’s a real shame as it has the potential to be a great new brunch spot but I won’t be going back unless they have a rethink on portion size.

One of the best meals I have had in Glasgow. Each dish was seasonal and there was a stunning vegetarian menu which measured up to its meat/fish counterpart. Each dish was complex and flavoursome and the tasting menu tied together perfectly. The wine selection was also incredible and the atmosphere was perfect. Will definitely be a regular customer going forward!

One of the nicest meals we’ve had in a long time. From start to finish it was just perfect. Lovely staff, very relaxed vibes inside, every course was incredible and such good value overall.

Really the worst brunch we've ever had! Booked based on a nice dinner here. Sat down, ordered drinks. About 20 mins later food order taken - still no coffee. Coffee arrives about half an hour after we sat down. Partner ordered oat milk, received dairy. Coffee cleared before even finishing. Food arrives after an HOUR of sitting down... and it is SO SMALL! I don't mind small... if the food has taste. I ordered Kedgeree which was described as having an egg... unfortunately there was barely 1/2 a boiled egg... Along with some dry tepid fried rice and two teaspoons worth of room temperature smoked haddock. It contained none of the pickles or garnish that was described on the menu. It was like a nouveau cuisine depression-hangover breakfast when you can't even be bothered reheating the leftover rice. My partner order butter beans on toast which were okay but exactly half the size of the pictures on instagram. After finishing our food in just under 100 seconds they removed our plates immediately whilst still chewing and we got the bill. Bill includes an automatic service charge. Avoid! Bad service! Misrepresented on social media!

This was the best meal I have had in Glasgow. I have lived here 12 years and eaten at a lot of places so I really cannot emphasise how great this was. Get along and try asap.

Without exaggeration this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in this city. I opted for the vegetarian tasting menu and was truly blown away by the care with which the chefs treated the gorgeous produce. Simple ingredients were elevated to mind-blowing levels, paired thoughtfully with wines which brought something new and unique to each dish. It's impossible to pick a highlight, but thoughts of the romesco brocolli main, and that gentle chocolate/cherry dessert will stay with me for a long time! Our evening was rounded off by supremely warm, welcoming and knowledgeable service from an exceptional front of house team. I can't wait to come back again! Thank you!

Amazing! We did the tasting menu on Saturday night - I got the vegetarian menu and my partner got the meat menu and we could not fault a single thing! Everything was delicious (how do they make a tomato taste THAT good) and beautifully presented and the waiter was so nice and friendly. Reasonably priced and left feeling full! Will be back :)

This was such a lovely evening! The menu was really fun and the service was excellent. We spent about 50-60 per person because of wine and an additional cheese course, but the 5 course set menu was only £30.

Food, wine, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. If I had any complaints I’d say portions for the first two courses were very, very small and my veggie main, though delicious, was basically a head of broccoli. Aside from these small issues the food was standout.

Not the place for takeaway coffee. Waited 30 minutes for one cold coffee. Was the only takeaway customer. Watched the staff wipe glasses, slowly serve wrong coffees to tables and go outside to say hello to friends. No place to wait. Shame, because the food at night can be good, although quite expensive.

Five course tasting menu was fantastic, the best I’ve had in Glasgow. £30 is brilliant value for money too. Ox cheek croquette, salmon, pasta, chorizo, beef dishes all 10/10.

Delicious food, we went for the Monday veggie menu with matched pairings. Aubergine was a highlight. Wines were really good. Portions on the small side. We also had a couple of cocktails that were delicious. Our waiter was really excellent.

Lovely new space on the southside with three coffee origins to choose from, roasted by HINBA. Beautifully prepared by a super friendly and skilled barista not only did my Guatemalan flat white taste great it looked like a work of art.

If you're looking for a great cup of coffee and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further than Seven 21 Coffee in Shawlands. I ordered a mocha and tea, along with a delicious baked good that I can't quite remember the name of (it was that good!). Although I'm not an expert on coffee, Jack kindly recommended a coffee type that proved to be high quality and absolutely delicious. Jack himself was a courteous and welcoming presence, and I enjoyed catching up on work while sipping my coffee. I'd be more than happy to recommend Seven 21 to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee, and with any luck, you'll be greeted by Jack himself, who was truly commendable. Still can't quite figure out whether one of the songs playing had a man imitating a trumpet or if it was a real trumpet. If Jack can get back to me if he finds the answer that would be great 😂.

Called in Today for a Coffee. The best Coffee I've had since visiting Tim Wendleboe in Oslo four years ago. The small pastys ( sorry I've forgot what they are called)are amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable Staff. We'll definitely be back
